Hello House, I need your advice on this. I had 237 in my jamb and I'm going for dentistry. What do you guys advice and what are my chances?
if you will make not less than 75% in postume, you're okay.
if you want to change consider physiology biochemistry and MLS

I scored 256 in jamb what are my chances of getting medecine? i'm thinking of changing to dentistry

with 256, you need about 80% to meet the last yr MBBS cutoff.
.if you can achieve it, or higher(cos cutoff might rise this year)_ then u can leave it.

Dentistry on the other hand, you need about 69% to meet last yr cutoff..

MBBS admires about 140+, while dentistry admits not more than 27.

so the ball is in your court.

Thanks, Temilistic22, for your congrats and for taking your time to answering me.
Biko I still need answers to the following quests:

Can I get UI past questions?
If I'm unable to meet the cut off point, can I apply for a change of course to secure an admission into the department favouring my score? Is there a certainty I will secure the said admission?

Let me clarify the two types of COC.

You can do jamb COC when its out. that one is done before postume. there is also ui COC, done after postume.

Now, if you're sceptical about your chances, I'll advise you take jamb COC. You can change to any other choice course of yours.

The reason I'm saying this is because you'll still have the liberty of choosing anything you like for yourself.

IF you wait till after postume before doing UIs COC, you'll be limited to only the available courses UI gives out. last year. there was no other course in college of medicine for COC. not even biochemistry or physiology. MBBS aspirants had to do COC to botany, chemistry and co, still, some didn't make it.

summary- if you wanna change your course, its best to change from jamb, and do your best in postume to gain admission on merit

I think u can swear an affidavit in court that affirms your original date of birth and state that there was an error in your waec date of birth.

that should solve any issues

They used UTME, post UTME and O'level results as follows:
Post UTME was over 40, O'level carried 10%:
A1 - 10 points B2 - 9 points B3 - 8 points C4 - 7 points C5 - 6 points C6 - 5 points D7 to F9 - 0 point
Aggregate = UTME/8 + post UTME + O'level
wow.. that's a complex procedure o

With a JAMB score of 266, do I stand a chance of being admitted for Dentistry in U.I ?

last year cutoff was 66.25

with 266, if you score 66% in postume, you'll make 66.25%

But, we can't say if cutoff will increase or not.. but to be very safe.. just aim 70%+. dentistry cutoff doesn't go beyond the range of 64, 65, 66% most tyms

Good evening everyone.
I got 210 and I applied for industrial chemistry. what are my chances of getting admission.

industrial chemistry cutoff last year was 56%

if the cutoff won't change, or if it won't increase you'll need 60% in the postume to make that mark.

we can't say if cutoff will rise or drop

So, its left to you now..
