javanslem: you've said very well bro. its just d name that differs, BDS and BChD are the same. BChD (Baccalaureate Chirugae Dentalis) is the Latin translation of BDS (Bachelor of Dental surgery). the educational structure of USA, in particular is very different from what obtains here. Here, you can go straight for MBBS/MBBCh, BDS/BChD for 6 years after high school and get your degree... but there, After high school, you go to college for a bachelor's degree first (3/4yrs), before going to medical school (4yrs), which grants you a MD or a DMD . that's a total of at least 7 yrs. and 2 degrees. quite cool I'll say. 1 Like |

Princesscherry: Very simple. Just beat the cutoff. I don't know the scoring format of their postume but whatever it is, aim as high as possible. You can't be denied admission if you have beaten the cutoff mark |

sammycranebaba: Schools can resume without nasu. its just that some things will not work.. Anything about school apart from lectures is operated by nasu. library, health center, laboratories, hostels, ICT, Senate and student affairs activities and so on That's how indispensable they are to a smooth running of a school. However, lectures can continue but some basic services won't be available. |

Resumption date remains March 25, unless stated otherwise from the university management. All direct entry students start from 200L. For the person that mentioned something about biodata upload, it has been there ever since we registered for postume. anything we need to do will be communicated to us. Abeg guys, make we no work ourselves too much. what we have been asked to do, let's try to follow it. If you do as said, you'll have little or no issues. If you have, feel free to ask on the thread. Pple will help out. if there is Any other thing to be done, we will be told. So, we shouldn't get hyper-anxious cos of what we hear anywhere. Good evening. 1 Like |

Ejimajnr: Bro, the first thing you did that fell hands was that you didn't register for this jamb. honestly, I'm really pained. Maybe I should explain this ELDS stuff from my own point of view. Your course cutoff is 63. Good. after the merit folks have been shortlisted, they turn to ELDS. now, there are many ELDS states.. don't know the exact number. let me use kogi, rivers and borno in this illustration. now, assuming 9,6 and 3 students fall into this category in order of they way I listed the states. the highest score from each state is taken in for that course thru ELDS. maybe one or two. so, assuming the highest score in kogi is 62, the highest in rivers is 59.5 and the highest in borno is 57. those 3 individuals will be admitted. now, I think the school will then peg ELDS cutoff at 57, which happens to be borno's score. this signifies that nobody with less than 57 was considered for admission through ELDS. So, you might have made more than 57, but someone was ahead of you in your own state. to save your time, I'll advice you do A'Level programs this year: IJMB, JUPEB, Cambridge A' Level, so that you can apply for direct entry next year and meet up. Remain blessed. 2 Likes |

donmhedi: give it time.. wait till tomorrow afternoon and see what will happen. if you still haven't been debited, and ur portal is still asking you to pay, then you can try again. if you were debited and it hasn't reflected on your portal, mail or call the help desk. You can also complain at your bank too, incase the money is about to enter a snake's belly |

drRIDwest01: From what I've read on the thread, you can apply for a 1½ year MBBS program after you obtain your BDS. After the completion of the program, you sit for exams and when you pass, you'll be awarded the MBBS degree. however, your BDS degree will be withdrawn. Uniben is one school I'm very sure does that conversion program. I don't know for others. good morning 1 Like 1 Share |

medic555: I guess its still a portal issue. .but, try using another phone or laptop to sync your payment. use chrome or Firefox. if this persists, call the helpline or drop a mail with the support center on the portal. I'm sure it will be resolved soon. Just remain calm. alternatively, you can recheck the bank u paid to ask if there has been any delay in the processing |

YoungDent: ui-30 unilag-40(issues were raised recently about accreditation, but I don't know how far whether it has been settled, cos of the number they admit, as well as the numbers that are passed to 200L) uniben- 25 oau- 25 the remaining schools that offer it have a quota of either 10 or 15. |

olatunji21: psalmiel: Oh.. Never knew sha.. All schools I know,( except for some private universities that do not even allow their students cook) allow the use of cooking gas in the halls of residence. It's the second choice after hotplates. Leaves me to wonder why UI won't allow us to use hotplates and cooking gas. |

YoungDent: you're welcome bro. yeah, UNICAL. I have a friend there, 300L dentistry. according to MDCN, unical quota is 15. that is, they should not graduate more than 15 dentists but they admit more than 20 though. its left to you to hustle hard. by the way, there are other schools you can consider too. but I guess you've registered already you're welcome once more 2 Likes |
