FreeStuffsNG: "Sen. Bob Menendez, the chairperson of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, called for a “fundamental rethink of the framework of our overall engagement” with Nigeria during a Senate hearing with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken in June.
Both Menendez and Sen. Jim Risch, the top Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, have placed a hold on the proposed arms sale, according to multiple U.S. officials and congressional aides familiar with the matter, who spoke to Foreign Policy on condition of anonymity."
I completely agree with you that you are unteachable sir and you know more than me. Just by appeal, I need you to to read it again and point where you saw it as a new contract. The committee head met with Blinken in June and the Tuscano jets delivered to Nigeria in July. That's to tell you that the issue is no longer about fulfilling the contract obligation sir. Finally, no single lawmaker can unilaterally place a hold on arms sale between the two sovereign states , the lawmaker can recommend it to the committee which will then submit to US congress or Senate to pass as a resolution after debate of the recommendations but the report didn't even state so that US senate or congress, as an arm of US government, opposed it but SR obviously has the intention to mislead . The report didn't even state that the committees as a whole opposed it and legislative committees are different from the individuals while the committees are still different from the congress. You are still dull. US has being selling weapons to Nigeria in tranches. Just like batch by batch since the beginning of fourth republic. They sell weapons to some countries yearly and each year, they review the sale. This news is all about selling another weapons to Nigeria which is being discuss and will probably be trashed cos of human rights abuses. Aboki, half education is disastrous. Go school Una no go gree. |

https://www.reuters.com/world/africa/nigeria-receives-first-six-light-attack-planes-united-states-2021-07-22/
Lately, seems it is only on SR will you read content today and read their apology tomorrow. The headline is false and misleading. The Lawmakers did not stop nada. The US government under Donald Trump already got the contract for the US government and the military hardwares are being delivered to Nigeria as agreed. Sowore obviously has an agenda for publishing this inaccurate news on his platform. Just have some peace. This news is about stopping other weapons from coming in. Go school, Una no to gree, see urself now. |

Giving a gun to a murderous society is tantamount to aiding and abetting killings of innocent civilians.
Security that allows insurgents to run business and go for people protesting against indiscriminate killings from both govt hired law enforcement agents (police, army, DSS etc) and govt pampered insurgents businessmen running wide uncheck.
Talking about killing the house owner for a thief. The govt is more focused on acquiring the lands of Nigerians for foreign Fulani. Until this govt is done in 2023, any country selling weapons to us is complicit in the act of human rights abuses. Evidently, the weapons bought are not used on terrorists. They rather use it on armless citizens while allowing the blood merchant businessmen to run their businesses of extortion, maiming, raping and illegal transfer of land ownership through violence and displacing real land owners to IDP camps.
Their focus is more on those people speaking up to the power and challenging them from massacring indigenous Nigerians for migrants Fulanis.
It takes another version of insurgents to kill bokoharam leader. There was even a northern leader asking govt to be involved in the conflict and protect bokoharam from ISWAP. I think that was Idamu Garbage
Igboho and kanu are their headaches not bokoharam and bandits or militants Fulani herdsmen. |

Romance › Re: Are Nigeria Girls Useless? My Candid Opinion by bobowaja(m): 6:24am On May 02, 2021 |
Crystalom3: I've been coming across various posts on this forum about how women and mostly women are useless and why men should avoid them at all cost.
This is not only a nairaland plaque. It is also on twitter with traces on Facebook.
In my honest opinion I do not see women or Nigeria girls as useless. Rather I see people who understand their values and exploit it to the fullest.
For instance, when we ask what a woman has to offer in a relationship, a lot of us do not know that the answer to that question is very obvious. But because we are asking the wrong question, we get the wrong answers.
A woman does not have to bring anything tangible to the table. Hear me out please. If a woman must bring something tangible to the table, then you must ask yourself why you keep preparing lines, working hard to get a girl's attention who you are confused has nothing tangible to offer you.
First off, you are not doing a woman a favour by liking her, asking her out or taking her places. She was on her own, then you saw something you love, a value which you liked and made you to approach her.
Herself being a woman is a value. This is why it is often hard for a woman to walk up to a man to toast him on her own. In doing so, she is declaring that she has no inherent value and automatically becomes the one to work hard to measure up to your standards.
Women have an inherent value just as you as a man have an inherent strength and do not need much workout to beat almost 80% of women on earth in a fight.
As such, they have themselves to offer in a relationship. Not just their body but their presence, laughter, conversations and smiles.
Trust me those things are what your money can never buy and if you have ever been loved truly b a woman you'll understand this to the fullest. How can I unread this shit? If the op is a man... Then he has a rare type of simp symptoms. Wrong thread |

This is one of the post this tribalist made on that thread. Silly ipob boy claiming Yankee. Check the bolded after he is done calling Lagosians monkeys Aconomist: Exactly, this is why I honestly don't think these people are fully-evolved human. They must be 30-50% monkey. Lagos is a population of 20 million, and on the mainland you rarely see a building above 2-3 stories. There is no other country on earth where you see something like this. Imagine if Beijing, Manila or New Delhi was as low density as Lagos? It's unthinkable for a city of this size (one of the the biggest on earth).
Most foreigners assume Nigerians don't know how to build multi-story buildings (without foreign contractors) because in most Nigerian cities, that's honestly what it looks like. There is nothing like Onitsha anywhere in Nigeria except marina CMS. It doesn't matter how expensive the land gets, these idiots will continue building their stupid Bungalows with no regard to economic incentives to build higher. |

Aconomist: When I visit Nigeria I stay in Lagos and Abuja, so that's what I'll focus on. This has nothing to do with Yoruba people.
The conditions are unacceptable in Lagos. If you are too stagnant to understand that, too bad. But I'm not going to stop discussing relevant issues. You are based in Nigeria. Enough of the lies I am in US bla bla bla. You are probably seeking economic refuge status in Lagos like your brothers. But you keep hating on the land that feeds you. Change your ways bro. |
