Do you ever heard info on how nnpc and other MDAs recruit their low level staff? That has not been the discussion subect of this platform. Cheers You always confuse yourself. |

So we are waiting for next week Wednesday for another batch of payment. This time it should come heavily because it will be a salary week.
And if it doesn't come. That means there is fire on the mountain for both parties because we won't be able to know which party is safe until APL starts dropping. |

larride: If eventually I get back to the tower, I will look for that man and give him a thank you gift. He was like my guardian angel. Even when it wasn’t his question I was answering, he just kept saying that’s good, that’s very good.
If truly each question is 25 marks, with the 3 score I saw from the panel chairman scoresheet, I did excellently well.
I’ve done my best, NNPC and God to come through for me. I will share a zobo with u at the tower.... Bills on me |

Beeam: I once had an interview with one of the new owners of the split Gencos.
The panel was made up of many of those old staff of PHCN that the new owner inherited when they bought the company, they were asking such basic interview questions and everyone of them was just nodding at my answers like I was Obama delivering a State of the Union speech.
My liver was so shook after d interview that I reached out 2 my big cousin who is a snr manager in the same Genco, after d interview 2 tell him I was interviewed for an Asst. Mgr position and I wasn't sure of my performance cos the questions were sooooo cheap. He spoke with their HR mgr and found out I was one of the best performers. I still couldn't bliv until I saw their offer letter.
Sometimes, when u feel the questions are cheap, they are really cheap. Especially when u are interviewed by civil servants who have little or no professional skills/experience with conducting interviews. Not in a case where a lot have to be weeded out. |

larride: A lot of people are on this table. Please don’t shake it. Almost everyone will tell you their interview went well.
My own, after sitting down and all the introduction and acknowledgment from the panel, the chairman told me they will be asking questions based on my accounting background, behavioral and situational questions and also HSE. Funny enough, I wasn’t asked to introduce myself.
The first man that asked me question, he asked me the impact of taxation on the Nigerian economy, as I was talking he was nodding but I noticed he wanted me to say more, luckily the panel members were distracted so they weren’t paying attention to what I was saying except the man that asked the question, when the panel chairman asked the man if he has asked his question, the man said NO and asked me the tax provision as it relates to NNPC as a corporation and its employees. I started talking about PPT, CIT and PIT but the man keep giving me signals to go deeper so I started mentioning their percentage, while I was saying the PIT percentage, I saw the man giving me thumbs up and the panel chairman told me it’s okay that they know I know it. From there, the other questions just flow smoothly till the HSE question where I was told to mention 6 things and I was only able to mention 5.
To God be my glory. You were saved by the chairman for asking the man weda his question has been answered. If not you for no know wetin jam you for that side and be claiming you scattered everything after interview. Nice one you know what you are doing. |

Adeebiwa09: Gbam you have landed. Oga you are spot on, my pastor uses that style you will be saying nonsense o he will be smiling and nodding his head. He said it's to encourage the speakers. For me panel... Those men face strong especially the chairman he just dey roll chair dey call their names to ask questions. But I enjoyed two men there they were observant and attentive, others aside the chairman just face their paper dey write o I like my panel. Whenever I talked off point.... They make sure they rephrase and target what they really want me to say. I must say I appreciate their frankness and the way they always call me back whenever I sound unclear. |

larride: I don’t know how everyone was saying the test was easy. The test I did had lots of history/current affairs with IT questions while men them were studying maths and verbal reasoning seriously.
I remember they asked me: 1. Capital of Swaziland 2. How many states Murtala Muhammad created 3. Which year the national anthem was composed 4. Which year the Nigerian flag was redesigned 5. Who was the first Northern premier (The option includes Tafawa Balewa and Ahmadu Bello) 5. Full meaning of https
Questions like that are very tricky and it’s even easy to fail unless you are very sure about the answer. The way everyone was saying the test was cheap, you would have thought most will score 85 and above. At the end of the day only 9k plus out of 60,000 which is not even u to 20% of those that wrote the test scored above 70. Yeye Dey smell. Exactly, simple questions are traps. Whenever I find myself in that kind of situations I make sure I am double certain of my options. And again when people were talking about the nice nature of the interviewers, I just laugh.... Those people in nnpc are so smart, they use the homely attitudes to disarm the multitude and you will be saying nonsense with confidence while they cheer you on. Well, I had a tough panel and I was humbled enough to allow them teach me what I don't know. |

Uricas: The same reason I seem to believe the 60percent story. If they need maximum of 30 per state, they will need to bring down the cut off so that all state will have minimum of 30 candidates. If is it 60% then they can't use it for all states. Maybe we say 60% is the lowest. Some states will still experience like 70% or 80% |

Gbyms: Exactly. After I finished then, I answered again from the beginning. I found a lot of errors. Imagine if I started jubilating it was easy and I just submitted. Although while answering again, I had changed some correct answers to wrong answers lol . Just a few tho. Such simple tests are mostly traps. |

Kevlala: In all honesty, the CBT was easy. But like all exams, some people will still fail. Meanwhile I dnt think it's about failure of the exam. It was about cut off mark.
If u got 65% u didn't fail but if cut off is set for 80% then u will be out of the equation. I think this is what happened to many pple. Not outright failure. because that test was cheap. You are right. And I don't think the cutoff is general. If it was, there would be over population from rivers, delta and ogun. |

ChasteGhuy: Anybody can bring up theory to make themselves feel at ease...no crime. But to start posting unintelligent comments mocking people is quite puerile. Even if it turns out to be true and he finally gets the APL based on the theory that he wasn't part of those they paid earlier, does it justify such jejune act?
And somebody will come here and start talking about maturity. @bolded, local man calm down. Too much English fit delay nnpc from processing everyone APL |
