Oga,
Figures don't lie.
Look at the latest figures released by the NCC, glo recorded the highest number of new data subscribers and these figures are rising.

Granted that glo have their own issues, they will continue to win the data war and these figures support this assertion.

If you stay close to an airport, observe very one. The one whose engine is located at the wings takes off into the sky more slowly. I don't know if the other one has a jet engine though

LOL, it doesn't work that way.
A variety of factors determines the take off speed of the aircraft not necessarily the position of the engines.

Before landing, the pilots must slow down the engines of the plane to its stall speed, and activate the flaps. This will give a sensation or feel as if the aircraft is coming to a stop, its speed is still actually more than 290km/h.

This is correct

It's very simple. The guy in question should explain to the Army how he received the videos he published. If he has nothing to hide, he should be willing to help the security agencies trace our Chibok girls. Tell the security agencies the source of the videos and let them follow the intelligence to where it leads.

It's very simple. CNN that also received exclusive videos should explain to the Army how they received the videos he published. The Nigerian army is a joke.
Very big one.

They should have declared CNN and others wanted?

Since when has it become a crime to report on BH?

The same army that wanted journalists to send their stories in before vetting?

The Government does not have any business with pilgrimage, whether Christian, Muslim Buddhist, or whatever.

Pilgrimage should remain a private affair and government should only provide essential consular and security services.

Subsidizing pilgrimage for private citizens is arrant nonsense irrespective of religion and this absurdity has to stop.

Please captain, I will like know if or maybe I can get company that I can work with "for free" like you just to boost my flying hours (once I complete my CPL). Is it possible to get one without much stress? Thanks sir!!

It's far easier when you are already type rated. In my case I was already type rated on the B737-NG so the company didn't have to spend a dime on training plus it's a bit unusual so there are some legal documentation that needs to be done.

I'm still a humble First Officer.

I thought they said the cabin crew(flight attendants) were the last to leave, and also what was the reason for the 'go-around' and How come dey forgot to deploy the landing gear.

no info yet on what really transpired
The crew leaves last and the captain is the last to step off the aircraft.

One of my baby's relatives was involved in an incident today at DXB thankfully, all passenger and crew are safe and the captain was the last to leave the aircraft.

With decent pricing and excellent services, it would be mega profitable.

Lol. For you as a pilot, the ans is in d question
because i guess you can fly a plane for 10 hours + without getting tired or bored., bt we enthusiasts can't comprehend.
I have been curious about this for long and will love to know. I have not flown on a "bird" before so please try to help out with how you answer the question.
Also, I want to believe that the cockpit can be secured from inside to prevent terrorism / hijacking...how do you confirmed the identity of the airhostess before opening up? Are there cameras in the cockpit to see who is knocking from outside cockpit? Are pilots allow to eat and chat when the airplane is cruising safely at a steady altitude during the 10hr trip?
Most of the questions are for fixed wings

About the boredom, we have to keep on monitoring our instruments as well as sending reports at intervals, we are only allowed to read aviation related stuff in the cockpit. Well, for long flights the crew handles it in turns so depending on the Duration, a pilot may not stay for more than eight hours at the controls.

Yes we are allowed to eat in the cockpit and unless your captain is a sadist, you guys would Have to talk.

I'm not at liberty to discuss how we verify the identity of the person knocking before we open the cockpit grin and yes it is secured.

I believe it is due to the rotation of the Earth from west to east. Planes flying in that direction experience less headwinds because they are "flying with" the Earth.
The planes flying in an east - west direction experience greater headwinds, that's why the east - west routes are usually longer than the west - east route.

Very correct.

Le boss,
I believe the 777-300ER can do more than 12 hours. Last year, I was on a flight from Orlando to Dubai on Emirates 777-300ER and the flight lasted for 15 hours and 40 minutes. double check though

Yes that's correct but for operational reasons it's usually restricted to under 12 hours or thereabouts, the 300-ER was probably used to service that route since the 200-lr was available.

Which is more reliable,Airbus or Boeing?I know the 747 is arguably the most successful aircraft till date.Just wanna know which one pilots generally prefer to fly??

They are both awesome aircraft manufacturers but Boeing is the best.

It's the 737 that's the most successful commercial aircraft ever.

As for aircraft pilots decide to fly, its dependent on a variety of factors some within their control others are not.

As Sugah rightly pointed out, go into aviation because of passion and not money else it's only a matter of time before frustration sets in.

At a point in my career, I worked for free. As in, I wasn't paid because all I wanted was flying time. It was very unusual but it paid off for me in the long run.

Hello fam,

July 12th my baby mama's birthday.

Calm down it's not what you think.

It was Boeing's 100th Birthday.

Every Boeing aircraft was a hit back to back

I can't imagine how aviation would have looked like without Boeing.
