I don't know why you guys insist on seeing everything though the prism of partisan politics with your elaborate conspiracy theories. Boko Haram is an Islamist group that is not interested in partisan politics. It will continue to terrorise Nigerians whether APC, PDP, APGA, Labour, e.t.c is in power. The political affiliation of the occupant of Aso Rock is it immaterial to its objectives.

The way to fight Boko Haram is by improved military and intelligence gathering capabilities aligned to an economic programme to revitalise the North-East. There might be a few Boko fighters amenable to an amnesty programme which would need to be explored. However,
before any non-military solutions are explored, our security capability needs to be seriously upgraded. My disappointment with the current regime is that it is moving too slow and seems to be almost as tone-deaf as the previous regime.

From your insightfulness how fast is this regime supposed to move?

When a care is being repaired in workshop is it still racing, can u race or speed up with a wrecked car or vessel?

The bombs are from Buhari to us to force down an amnesty package for his Bokos for a job well done in getting him into power.

That is my point.

Read it again slowly.
Be careful of ur libel.....even GEJ quote me anywhere never ruled out negotiating with the Boko Haram organisation, the overtures just never went well

Has any one of you ever bothered to wonder how it was possible for ISIS which is composed of minority Sunni Muslims in Iraq was able to overrun vast territories of that country inspite of US arming, training and providing Intel to Iraq Security forces? This is opposite what Jonathan administration got by way of support from the Obama White House rather the Obama administration went along way to blocking alternatives to securing much needed weapons at the same time refused to share intel to the Nigerian Security forces and took it up a notch by refusing to designate Boko Haram a Foreign Terrorist Organizaion - a categorization that would have helped to block financing and support to the group.

In spite of all these challenges, the "clueless" Jonathan was at one time able to beat Boko Haram into a retreat to the Camerounian mountain borders where they were contained before they resurfaced again befor Jonathan ordered a full scale war which saw recapturing of local govts from the insurgents. Jonathan achieved all this without US , Uk and western military assistance.

But look at what we have in Iraq where US, has although refused to categorize ISIS as an FTO, but still supplies weapons and conducts air raids on ISIS positions. ISIS inspite of all this is still waxing strong and claiming more territory.

It also baffles me that the US govt will claim that one of ISIS principal fund sources is from captured Iraqi oil fields. How is ISIS shipping oil talk less of still able to maintain drilling operations without US connivance? What is stopping Obama from bombing the gas lines?

Iraq is mostly landlocked with only a small portion to the south bordering to the Gulf of Arabia, ISIS is thus still shipping oil via the gas pipelines through Turkey. Why is there not an embargo on Iraqi oil shipped from captured territory?

Back to Nigeria, it is very obvious why we are witnessing more expansion of Boko attacks into areas they had only sleeper cells and this is to blackmail Nigerians into accepting a peace deal and subsequent amnesty package for Boko Haram.

Boko Haram have stated their intention to swap the phantom Chibok girls in exchange for 16 of their top commanders in custody. This is just another attempt at using the Chibok scam to advance another agenda.

Buhari knows what he is doing.

Do not take the Economists seriously because their aim is to portray Buhari as merely incompetent when the truth is that all these bombings and Boko Haram expansion is to calculated towards forcing a negotiation option down our throats.

If Buhari truly wants to end Boko Haram he has all the weapons, intel and resources at his disposal to achieve this but he won't because after all "a fight against Boko Haram is an attack on the north".

I don't need to get too historical to know that the spate of bombings since Buhari took charge is politically motivated....a masterpiece to blackmail the newly emerged government, am sure Buhari is restoring sanity in the millitary and it is only a matter of time before Book haram vaporise

What am I trying to insinuate?

Criticizing this new work by a Nigerian and calling it thrash is a threat to our growth as a nation. We cant develop with critisms. Let us learn to appretiate our efforts.

I see this Friends888 becoming a heavyweight in Nigeria soon. Loyal Nigerians will go and sign up with the site. And I'm going there now to do so.

The National Population Commission (NPC) has hinted that the conduct of the population census and head count for all Nigerians scheduled for 2016 might not hold due to poor budgetary allocation.
The NPC however stressed that it is in the power of the masses to decide if the federal government should fund the 2016 census, or it should be suspended till the financial crisis is weathered....Here is a n avenue to share ur opinion if Yes the government must ensure the population count holds or No the count shouldn't hold

Politics / OPINION- "Buharism-Buhari to Synchronise Military democracy" by bogs4real: 7:39pm On May 31, 2015
In his words........The most immediate is Boko Haram’s insurgency. Progress has been made in recent weeks by our security forces but victory can not be achieved by basing the Command and Control Centre in Abuja. The
command centre will be relocated to Maiduguri and remain until Boko Haram is completely subdued......

Now the excerpt above from Buhari's inauguration speech earned him a round of applause, without being told Buhari's idea was never thought of by the civilian Jonathanian dispensation. And that part of Buhari's whole speech was the cream of the crop. When you look at what is happening, it is a military revolution of democracy, that is, Nigeria is undergoing self-induced overhaul, and PMB-President Muhammadu Buhari is just a vessel of her[Nigeria's] evolution.

The point his, we are headed for a 4-year synchronised commando-style military administration given the pseudonym-democracy.
Don't get me wrong, I am saying the body will be democratic but the soul that lives in this body is military. So what we will be hearing and seeing are the words of a democrat but with a military undertone

The result of this are:
1) The first positive development to relocate the command centre from Abuja to Bornu. This gambit move is characterised by one who has an indepth know-how of warfare. This move guarantees undaunting victory, but also opens the national defence system to infiltration and then quick degenration. This move is 30% kamikaze and 70% offensive
2) There will be firing and hiring on a large scale. The sacrosanct self-automated evolution of Nigeria chose well a man who will do this act better than what we have seen from GEJ government. Not as detrimental as the former government but more accurately and swiftly than the former because this course cannot afford to fail
3)Yes, WAI(WAR AGAINST INDISCIPLINE) will be ressurrected. Though this time, no soldier will be whipping defaulters on the streets, but I tell you, apprehensions will be very rampant as the federal initiative street laws will be more strict and want to align civilians with the Buharism soul.
4)On accountability and transparency, I don't see this happening.Don't get me wrong, the system will pay more attention at boosting the national treasury than telling you how it did it. In fact, the time is short, there won't be that luxury of telling you and I what-goes-where, but we will be seeing good results.
5)After four years Nigerians will seek continuity.

No matter how u guys look at it. Jonathan was in an awkward situation. I think that is why his wife did not attend. Considering what she displayed during the CHIBOK girls incident. She would have cried if she was there. As for jonathan, he acted like a man and showed true leadership. After loosing an election, I don't no how he got the strength to do all what he did. I am amused. I cannot do it. Don't no anybody who would. I'd rather just retire peacefully wivout any noise. Just seeing him get involved in everything even to the last minute, says a lot about his character and how moving wiv the wrong crowd can assassinate your true character.

I admit it that Jonathan showed courage....in fact he was reborn since the day he gave buhari a concession call
