Christianity EtcRe: Nigeria And It's Horde Of Fake Pastors!!! by bolaino(op): 3:51pm On Sep 27, 2014
plaetton: Lil. cool

"Fake pastor " is an oxymoron.
Christianity is a fake religion, contrived upon, built upon, perpetuated upon and sustained upon mountains and mountains of fakeness and fraud.

Even after 2000 yes, a cactus tree can never ever bear an orange fruit.

This is why Christianity attracts fraudsters like honey and bees.

The funny thing is the followers of Christian religious BS do so with fraud in their hearts, the want to shortcut and Short-change reality.

Their pastors, knowing as much, help themselves by defrauding their followers. So, it's fraud against fraud.
This is why followers of Nigeria's Men Of Guile( MOG,) never complain when they are being exploited and defrauded.
The MOGs are just one fraud ahead of their followers.
Lil.
And what baffles me the most, my Good sire, is the way nigerians follow these pastors, I have to confess that most Nigerian Christian churches have turned into something of an "Evil cult" behaving kind of way, years ago, I witnessed a christian fight to an unbelievable extent, because his pastor was insulted, that tells you the length they can go to defend, these money laundering,/Gun running,Negligent building collapse, marry today divorce tomorrow, school fees bunch of pastors, God save us From Nigerian Pastors.
Christianity EtcNigeria And It's Horde Of Fake Pastors!!! by bolaino(op): 12:15pm On Sep 27, 2014
May God punish all the fake pastors in Nigeria in Jesus name, Some are celebrating their birthdays, some are buying weapons, others are divorcing their wives, God knows them, and God will punish them, because they defraud people in His name, The fake pastors in Nigeria are a major part of the problems we are facing in Nigeria today, They teach their followers stupid doctrines, Why would a pastor Compare burial rites with school fees? What kind of sick person insults the dignity of burial rites, well only in Nigeria, election is around the corner, and very soon our churches will be turned into campaign grounds, God will punish all these fake pastors, God sees all, Nobody knows more than God, some of you might be able to run from the English Metropolitan police, But you can not run from God's justice. Nigeria and it's Horde of fake pastors. Smh.

Science/TechnologyRe: Football As A Battle Between Rightand Left-brain Thinking by bolaino(m): 11:42pm On Sep 23, 2014
hunter21: Getting football is not about
rational arguments. Explaining the
attraction of football is a bit like
explaining why people should like
opera, French movies, or performance
art. Like opera, football is an
exaggeration of life, a representation
of how the world is, or, for large
parts of the world, how they think it
should be: a world with even
chances, a level playing field.
To try to make sense of our complex
world we are increasingly resorting to
analytics and bringing in left-brain
thinking. We are now trying to make
sense of football with an ever-
growing body of quantitative tools.
Football has given rise to entire
analytics-based industries involving
sophisticated analysis of network
centrality, passing effectiveness, the
probability that a sequence of passes
of given lengths will result in a goal,
and much more. Economists are
getting in the game, analyzing
penalty kicks using game-theory and
statistical analysis. So far, these
efforts are hardly predictive.
Handicapping football remains
difficult. Some predictions -- notably
by Goldman Sachs and Nate Silver --
were spectacularly wrong. The reality
is that one can see an entire set of
statistics about a game, sans goals,
and not be able to determine who
actually won. The 120-minute
statistics of Argentina and Holland
were virtually identical . The
possession in the Brazil-Germany
game was 52 percent to 48 percent .
As in life, one can work hard and not
get the goals and the results. This is
true in football more than in other
sports. Scoring, and thus success, is
more discrete. Baseball and
basketball use series of games to
decide the outcome. That feature, in
addition to higher scoring, means
that the eventual winner is more
likely to reflect probabilistic
tendencies. As some cynics have
said, the problem with the NBA Finals
is that the best team always wins.
The decisiveness of a few discrete
events, often determined by luck or a
mistake, breeds superstition and
quasi-religious attitudes. Lack of
planning can be balanced by a single
heroic effort, so many believe. And
they are often proved right. One
mistake or a great single action can
win a game. The belief in the great
action, genius and miracles is the
great equalizer. On a good day,
Ghana could beat Germany, and Iran
could beat Argentina. But football is
democratic in another sense as well:
there is no optimal physique. Tall,
short, it does not matter. One can be
short, like Messi or Maradona, and
be the best player in the world.
These views represent creativity and
brilliant improvisation, the right side
of the brain. And the belief that one
act of brilliance can decide a game.
Hope for all.
But left-brain thinking is on the
advance. Planning is on the rise.
German coaches use extensive
scouting and analysis to identify
weaknesses in the Brazilian defense.
The German youth development
program, created after the disasters
in 2000 and 2004, likely was the real
reason for the success. Meticulous
planning, from a custom-built team
facility to the use of sports
psychologists specializing in penalty
kicks, created an environment where
success was likely. Yet, had Messi
scored in the final, all this would
have been widely considered a
failure, further evidence that success
in football depends on individual
genius and a spark of inspiration and
grace. Therein lies the attraction.
Football will continue to be a battle
between teamwork and individual
action, between deliberate planning
and improvisation, between left-brain
and right-brain thinking.
Statistical analysis, modeling, and
simulation will play an increasingly
larger role. But right-brain thinking
will continue to play a role. As Kuper
and Szymanski have shown, markets
for players are highly efficient and
teams with the biggest payrolls win
their leagues consistently. Yet in
spite of this, the magic of the single
game, the hope against odds, will
remain undiminished. Like opera,
football will continue to be an
exaggerated version of reality, deeply
meaningful and emotionally engaging
for millions. Most people in the world
like to believe in miracles, in
emerging as winners against bad
odds. Football gives them this hope.
Yet, it will become clearer that
planning and strategy do pay off, just
not always and not always when it
matters most. In its unique mix of
science and superstitions, football
represents the perfect metaphor of
the balance between our left and
right brains.
Very interesting and very Educating, Nice one OP.

1one: There was somewhere you mentioned that you don't believe in hell?... Wow!!!.. So there are really actually living and breathing people like you?... Who don't believe in hell?... Maybe you don't believe in heaven either... You know seeing people like you just makes me to cherish my salvation and Christianity even better.. Ohh My!.. The dude doesn't believe in hellhuh..

You're not a Christian, just want you to get that straight, you can not claim to be a Christian when you don't believe in the very person and essence of Christianity, without whom even the name "christian" would not exist.

I'm not really here to bart words with you, because really, if I want to have your time, we would take this thread to 500 pages but you won't still be unchanging in your mindset, that's because your perception about Christianity is not just a function of maybe your IQ or your intellect or reasoning, if it were such, then I would have gladly argued out your disbelief in Christianity with you, in the hope that, you would see good reason to correct that false notion;but instead it's a spiritual problem you have.

There's a veil, a spiritual veil that has blocked your understanding and so no matter what anybody says, until that veil is spiritually removed, you won't see any sense in what anybody has to say about Christianity, In fact, everything I just even typed in the last 4-5lines would be like an English man trying to read Japanese, because they wouldn't just make sense to you.

But I sincerely do hope, that some day before it's too late, you would come to believe in Jesus, to accept his love, his sacrifice and summarily live a life that's truly enriching with him as the centre piece of your life.

Cheers.
lol, yes I do not believe in hell, and you shouldn't too, but after all is said and done, life's an individual experience. I wish you a wonderful life experience my good man, I know more about christianity than you would ever know. Emancipate yourself from mental slavery my good man,

Les: not what i'll do for u since you already know the truth but is avoiding it. The souls of christians are not condemned but you feel yours is because you're no christian but is deceiving urself that you're. Exactly what jesus prophesied in the gospel about many being deceived in the last days. To ur question. Be a christian and you're automatically saved and to be a christian, you'll have to believe that jesus died for ur sake. Shalom
My dear sister, I would love to ask you a question, and I would really appreciate a very honest answer, what would you do, if you found out Genuinely, that Jesus did not exist, and that everything you've been told as a christian is false, what would you do? Think about it and tell me your answer. Thank you.

Keluong: Good to know. Just if you may wonder why I am following your threads.
I too have been through a lot just to attain rest of mind. I have even been a nihilist. But nihilism is capped with depression which is a terrible feeling. The only difference between the two of us is that I did not narrate my ordeals on Nairaland.
Right now, I am vacillating between Christianity and deism. I have some experience with a church/chapel named All Christian Practical Praying Band. They do this spiritual stuff of a thing and they also see visions. I dont know if it will be of help to you. I only need someone to explain somethings to me.
to be honest with you my Good man, I am not a confused spiritualist, I just said that to humor my friends on this section, I know quite a bit about spirituality, and one of those things is that life is a cycle, what goes around comes around, you reap what you sow, for every action there is a reaction, karma, Dharma, these are some of the few basic concepts of life, the ideas about hell fire, rapture and the second coming of jesus are false and baseless, they are part of the problems we are facing in the world today, given the fact that over one billion people believe in these fairy tales, we are practicing christianity today as a result of religious hegemony, our colonial masters brought christianity to us and forced us to believe in the christian God and savior, or face destruction, the people who tried to oppose the white man's religion were killed, take oba erediawa who was exiled from his kingdom because he opposed the white man, christianity is the white man's religion, you have to know that.

Les: the jews are not christians and christians are not jew. If u wanna follow the jewish thinking, try judaism. But if u wanna be a christian and make the best use of that baptismal certificate, believe in Jesus. Anything other than that, stop deceiving urself by calling urself a christian. Until then, the bible will continue to be a story book to u.

Christianity EtcRe: Atheists, Let Us Discuss Christianity. by bolaino(op): 3:41pm On Sep 20, 2014
Les: even if u won't believe in hell, why won't u believe that Jesus christ died for ur sins? What then do u believe as a christian? What makes u a christian?
I have a baptismal certificate that bears my name on it, the jews do not believe in Jesus, if the jews who are hebrew do not believe there was any record of a hebrew messiah named jesus, then why should I? I can not claim to know more than the jews, and the jews are wicked, very wicked, the bible is basically a story book. The jews worshiped a tribal God, from the stories in the bible you can deduce that,

Les: here you're again adapting ur own doctrines again. And this one is way above the line unlike my last quoted post of urs. What's christianity and who's a christian? You can't call urself a christian and discard the basic concept of christianity which is the death of that white man named Jesus Christ. Bro, go find where you belong cause from ur posts, you're far from a christian. You called church a social gathering? My guy, you're not a christian. Go to my profile, i have a topic on this already. Hope it helps
thanks dear sister in christ, if you say I'm not a christian, I don't have any problems with that, christianity like islam has caused this world a lot of pain and sorrow, I see no difference between what the ISIS is doing in Iraq and what the christian church did during the crusades, different sides of the same coin, my take on life as an individual, is to live a life that honours your family, ancestors and your culture. Do good avoid doing evil, Always be grateful to God, and with these simple steps you would live a most fulfilling life, do not worry about non existent things like hell fire and other lies the catholic church created,

nellyelitz: if u're not proud why not change faith, mehn whats keeping u.
Good question my good man, I've practiced different religions and I have been called all sorts of names, but I would rather stick to christianity for now, we live in an extremely Religiously intolerant society, and I don't want to be caught in between the lines, I was born a christian, and going to church has become a social norm for me, church is a social organisation for me, where we get together family and friends. And also share experiences. That's why I am still a christian, I do not believe that a white man named jesus died to save me, that story is absurd.

Les: Each time i try to renounce christianity, God does something to bring me back to my senses. I woulda dumped christianity if i haven't seen supernatural things happen. GOD IS REal, BELIEVE!
my dear sister, God is Real, I believe you, because I have seen God do wonderful things in my life, I can never be an atheist again, I have seen too many supernatural things happen before my eyes to doubt the existence of God, but I believe christianity is not different than islam, or budhism or any other form of religion, being a christian does not give one an edge in life, continue in your faith if it keeps you happy and content spiritually, but do not engage in religious extremism, and keep this at the front of your mind, there is no hell fire, hell fire is the biggest fraud of christianity.
