lorRhyMeZ: In my opinion,3rd world war is already on..it may not b like the previous wars where nations squared up against each other directly,this one is more like a game of chess,where ur wits and brain determines who wins. What I mean is,obviously the super powers would never face each other directly,military technology has soooo advanced that the super powers wouldn't make the mistake of engaging each other,it will b raining nukes and d cost of lives would b high(in their respective countries)..so why would anyone b fighting a war where u know very well that ur opponents are equally able and capable,that for every nuke fired,there will b an equal and opposite reaction?

So logically,the super powers know that its not advisable to fight each other directly....not when they can simply make use of smaller and poorer nationsgrin Simply give them weapons,train them,and make them go at each othergrin Thereby Saving money and unnecessary loss of their "Almighty American or Russian lifes".

And who here can say its not already happening? Episodes in Ukraine,Middle east and so on and the consequent "Sanctions" the super powers through at each other is WAR! Buh this time with no "Super-Powerian" lifes lost,less money spent and Job well done! grin
Well said, "Proxy war" is the oldest war trick in the book, smh.

Idrismusty97: Yes! Putin missed the good old days of the Soviet Union but he isn't trying to bring it back. He can't! What he is basically doing is protecting his reputation and bringing his supporters(Mostly of russian miniorities) in Eastern Europe closer to Russia. He invaded Ukraine(Crimean to be specific) largely because of the black sea fleet or whatever it is call.Russia have a military base there and if Crimea falls into the hands of the West they will claim it,the base is even rented.Nothing disgust Putin more than the presence of Yanks armies under his nose. That's why he is weary of Poland that is a member of NATO.

The yanks can abandon the ISIS in Iraq anytime they pleases, it is not their problem. That is what they always do. They create a problem for a region and then abandon it. From Afghanistan to Iraq to Libya and now Africa. Anywhere they go they leave a trial of destruction. The Yanks funded ISIS in Syria and are now fighting against it in Iraq. Isn't that an irony undecided.
Very Ironic my Good man, smh, Uncle Sam is something else.

Many of you might not be aware of this But the 3rd world war is gradually getting momentum, and It might become full blown in the next few months, there are founded speculations that the Russian president, Vladmir Putin, wants to bring back The Soviet union, he misses the days when The Red army would showcase their array of bombs and tanks at the May day parade in Moscow, he wants to bring back the former soviet union, hence is invasion of Ukraine, in the coming weeks we are going to see things unfold in front of out eyes, And the islamic state is putting a whole twist to the whole picture, because the Americans would be occupied with trying to destroy ISIS that they might not be fully prepared for what the russians are planning next. And mind you, tension in the Korean peninsula is heightened, North Korea wants to attack the south soon, the war in syria is spilling to lebanon and jordan, the indians and the pakistans have resumed hostilities, China will attack American forces in Japan if they have the chance, the African continent is thorn, Economic depression in sub saharan Africa is a problem that's growing, drought in sudan, boko haram in Nigeria, Al shabab in somalia, Isreal wants to kill all hamas operatives once and for all, we are in this for the long haul my Good people, Let's all sit back and fold our hands, Nigeria is not even in the equation, the bio weapon Ebola will finish us in the next couple of months, I pity Ignorant Nigerians. Patrick sawyer did a Good job, the Americans would be proud of him.

You're very wrong my Good man, being the POTUS is currently the most difficult job in the world, Everybody wants to kill you when you're the POTUS, from groups like Al qaeda, to hezbollah, the whole arab world wants the POTUS dead, you're faced with very strong opposition that keeps you on your toes, The Russians are always looking for ways to topple your administration, Africa needs US AID, south korea needs Uncle Sam, Everybody's nearly everybody's having a piece of you when you're the POTUS, and Nearly Everyone wants to watch you get blown off on live TV, not to talk about doing the job you were elected for, Forget it my Good man, this comparison is rubbish and insulting to the office of the POTUS, the Americans would put Nigeria on it's knees within two hours, Obama would have jonathan crawling hand and foot, don't joke with the Americans, I tell you from experience, meanest sons of bit**es EVER.

PoliticsRe: Do You Think Federalism Is Killing Nigeria? by bolaino(m): 2:01pm On Aug 22, 2014
And to add to that, it might work in the next hundred years but not really in the foreseeable future, one of the reasons is the pace of Growth in most states without viable resources would find it difficult to compete with other states, and you'll then have a system were some states are termed pauper states while others as luxurious states, thereby causing more divide between the rich and poor, Oligarchy I believe is the word. OLIGARCHY money is power.

PoliticsNo Politician Or Political Party Is Worth Dying For. by bolaino(op): 6:27pm On Aug 20, 2014
My brethren I greet you all in the name of God our creator, whose mercies are evident in our country, Nigeria has come a long way, and in our over 50 years of independence, we have witnessed everything, From war to terrorism, to you name it, and we are still standing. The system is not perfect, yes, the system has it's faults, but let us take solace in the fact that Rome and even the Recent United states, were not built in a day, I believe strongly in this country, and I believe that with Time we would be able to Govern ourselves well, I believe in time we'll be able to produce Honest and God fearing politicians, But my Good people I do not believe that time is here, take a look around you, tell me the kind of politicians you see? The same crop of people, the same set of politicians who have plundered the vast resources of this country to nothing, these are the same politicians showing us their interests in elected offices, why would a politician kneel down to beg people for votes, what does that tell you about the politician's motive? What is PDP what is APC, they are nothing but the same thing, just two sides of the same coin, the leaders of these parties belong to the same secret societies, during the day they are enemies at night they are best of Friends, and it's the gullible Nigerian masses who are being deceived, No politician is worth dying for, no matter how nice or honest he/she might seem. Do not turn acronyms that mean nothing to the people who formed them, into religions, PDP, APC, APGA, are nothing but ideologies, and these ideologies are not worth dying for, because their true purpose is about Conquering and Dividing, Say No to political Hooliganism, Say No to election violence, Live and Let Live, Nigeria is still Young and with time we will have leaders that are worth dying for, But that time has not come, till then, Remain peace loving and God fearing Nigerians, Long Live The Federal Republic Of Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: The Media Bias Of The Western World. by bolaino(m): 9:45am On Aug 20, 2014
ducii: Has anybody noticed that the US media has been kind of biased in reporting the rioting and looting that is going on in Ferguson Missouri. Watching CNN last night, the news was rather quiet on the happenings in Ferguson, watched for a couple of hours after work didn't hear much. All they kept showing was ice bucket challenge, with different celebrities taking up the challenge, you will think all was well and dandy.
If it were to be in Africa now it would have been on air constantly
what were you expecting sire, the black people rioting in ferguson are children of slaves that were brought into America two to three hundred years ago, They are still not free, I can assure you if you trace the history of some of the black folks there you'll find out that some families in ferguson still own some of the black people living there, #Truestory.

{Quote}. by HAH: 4:35pm On Aug 19
Honestly the government are not helping this men that volunteered themselves to fight for the nation.

My nephew came from Borno last three weeks, he said of the 14 passengers in the bus 12 are soldiers disguised as civilians deserting the army, some said they rather go and do okada in onitsha than be used as sacrificial lamb in Borno, one said his mother told him to leave and come back home, generally moral is low for the army in Borno for the soldiers

I have met an army officer that told me the major problem in this boko haram war is Moral is low among the soldiers, he said there is a soldeir killed in this BH crisis that his family were told to leave the barracks after some month with nothing , he also said there is. A wife of a young soldier that was killed in this Boko haram war and now the wife survives by following other men around the barracks, now do you think any soldier will sacrifice himself when he knows what will possibly happen to his family after his death..

Sadly this Boko Haram crisis has open the inefficiencies of the Nigerian army, the last time Nigeria was involved in an offensive war was in Biafra, that is why they are helpless, all the generals in Nigeria have never been to war, mind you peace keeping is never offensive.

My honest solution to this crisis is for the government to swallow it pride and contract the war on BH to the chadian army the way the french did in Mali, chad has the most rugged army in the region owing to the long civil war they had before stability came under idris deby. Boko Haram for the first time encroached on chadian soil last week I guess you all heard what happened to them, they were all captured and the entire 85 people they kidnapped in doron-baga were rescued, they BH know that the chadian army are ruthless hence they hardly encroach on them .

Most people that say Nigerian army are good don't really know them, the military in nigeria is one of the most corrupt institution, most of the officer if not all got to NDA through man know man, some are governors, ministers and perm sect children, is it this Ajebutters that you want them to go and fight war for you, most of soldiers joined because they want to brutalize civilians and be local champion, they never thought that a serious war like this will crop up, remember 99% of BH are bloody civilian that turn militant with little or no training, I wonder if this army can handle a full blwn civil war in Nigeria.

Before now the army use to tell us that BH are hiding among civilian that is why they are hard to be caught , now that BH have moved to the Bush is another story.

This government should do something {quote}

This commentator; I do believe is spot on; soldiers are deserting d aarmy; I know BTW ; this crop of soldiers have never witnessed war; n almost all miltary men; enrolled to brutalize civilians n become Local champions(we all knw dis) perhaps dey 4got d reality will set in;

I believe we have insiders (soldiers n officers) in dis house; pls come in n give us ur opinion; wat u think, (its an anonymous forum). So U well covered. Ugo ; n d rest we re waiting!!!
In as much as i respect the Nigerian Armed forces, I would be lying to myself if I said the army has what it takes to fight the next crop of terrorists. Hardline terrorists might be coming to the country soon from Al qaeda in the Maghreb, these are seasoned desert warriors, who have slaughtered both professional military men and innocent women and Children, they have years of combat experience, Guerrilla warfare is their game, And with these stories we are hearing about Mutiny in the army, Morale is really going down, I hope our military gets the training and equipment they need to fight this war on terror, if not, we would be in serious problems, you guys still don't understand the scope of this war on terror, there is no end to it, may God help us all.
