Nice one sire, your points are valid, logicboy, tell us truth, your papa na pastor? |
Emmyk: So, where's the picture?I'm trying to upload it but it's not showing I don't know why, and it's only 14 kb, any ideas on how to make it show? |
onetrack: Non-gay atheist male here. Not homophobic either. You know what I think? Many straight men don't like homosexuals because the straight men don't want to be looked at in the same way that they themselves look at women. They don't want unwelcome lustful looks from people they aren't interested in (which is exactly what we tend do to women). Hypocrisy.yeah you're very right sire, u know I won't lie to you ooo, I'm not a fearful person ooo, but seriously, I can't be in the same room with somebody who is openly gay, cos I have this kind of notion that u could be infected with homosexuality, and as I am right now. The worst thing that could happen to me is if I turn gay, I go just kee myself, so right now I'm trying to work on my fear of gay people, I do not hate gay people, not at all, but I find the ones who behave like women annoying. Women are annoying on a normal day, then imagine a blend of man and woman, how annoying can someone be. Lol, I do not hate gay people, I just don't find the whole homosexual act funny, but I love lesbians, I wish my girlfriend was a lesbian, I'm all for lesbians, they have my full support. |
Horus: https://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s115/BrothaJ_IMages/brothaj_images%202/brothaj_images3/brothaj_images4/brothaj_images5/newpic.jpglol, lwkmd, madt mann, lol, |
When I saw this picture I was like what the #*$*? Well the guy really looks like the christian messiah being portrayed in paintings and pictures. What do you guys think? |
aManFromMars: Hmm, same mind, same mind..lol, madt men. Lol. |
plaetton: I 'm actually a Buddhist at heart.that's lovely mann, and I encourage you to pls continue in your practice. Having a sort of spiritual relationship with the world, brings about a certain inner peace. Keep it up mann, as long as u're not paying tithes and offerings, either through the internet or church, you are on the right path. Lol. |
Logicboy03: We are saying the same thing bro......there are branches of buddhism that are no different from an atheist honouring his ancestors with some rituals.....i got no problem with that.yes boss, you're very right, hailings boss. |
tobechi20: yes, even atheism can be abusedyou're very right and right now, the four horsemen of atheism are abusing the institution of atheism, by making intolerant statements. |
Logicboy03: Cut that crap.....I se the same myth applied to Buddhism. Both Buddhism and Hinduism are more sensible/humanistic than Abrahamic religions but that doesnt remove the nonsense that are innate to them......lol, what's our biggest problem with religion? I believe that control is the problem we have with organized religion. But in these religions, hinduism especially there's no apparent form of control, everybody is responsible for his/her choices, So as an atheist if decide to believe in santa clause, it's allowed cos I have a right to chose and believe in whatever I want, and in that case I'm sure you logicboy would chose to believe in the FSM. My point is, as atheists we should learn to encourage any institution be it organised or controlled that has to do with people making free choices, making willful choices. One love man, it's been long I saw u on here. |
Wow hinduism sounds interesting, and if those explanations are anything to go by, then I think I'm hindu. And I'm sure hinduism appeals to most atheists on here, hinduism is a way of life. Namaste!!! |
So obadiah has been made a MOD on nairaland, well if there are people who deserve to be MODs he is one, congrats to you sire, But pls I've been wanting to ask this question for here's, are nairaland MODs being paid? |
Amanfrommars, I want u to know that u're a very intelligent man, and I respect your posts, nicely written, it's high time we address this homophobia all around us, what is it about gay men that scares most guys. I'm not gay, I'm straight, I too like women to be gay, lol. |
god_of_music: FORGET IT! 2pac is just another rapper! Any rapper could have been 2pac but we don't do Street beef and sheet no more!u do not know anything about music so pls keep your opinions to yourself, god of music my foot. |
I had already grown up a bit before I started listening to tupac, I love rap but initially I felt tupac was just one violent gangster rapper. But when I started listening to tupac's songs, I was in awe, tupac was not of this world I tell y'all, if tupac was a doctor he would be the greatest doctor that ever lived, tupac was a very real nigga, and that was what made him special, tupac was a lover of peace, tupac was a very emotional human being, tupac's music united many gang banging niggas back in the day, what more can I say about pac, he was the greatest rapper and still is the greatest rapper to ever live (but watch out for kendrick lemar) we love u pac and we miss u, my favorite pac songs are much I love all his works, but for now I would "picture me rolling" that was a real jam, rap music is supposed to be about real niggas talking about real ish, respect!!! |

FOLYKAZE: Bola......you eating this lies from these war monger crying for death, end time and return of christ BS?you raised very good points sire |
After all is said and done, I am kinda scared, I won't lie to you guys, I don't know if the christians are right, but right now, they seem to have an edge over us, from the going ons, around the world, obadiah's crazy rantings no longer seem crazy to me, the world's in a crucial state, and most people might not know it, but we're facing the possibility of a third world war, and I don't need to tell u what that is, I don dey fear ooo, obadiah, what's the way forward? Is hell fire actually a real place? I no won go there oooo, |
The jokes are nice, not punchline jokes though, but they're cool, keep em coming AMTC, and to the haters on here, u guys can go hug transformers and porcupines. |
texanomaly: Why are you shocked?hmmm, muskeetoo, it seems someone has a crush on u, ![]() |
@op, very nice topic, and a very very sensitive one at that, this is something that needs real discussion about, the negative effects on our society is very debilitating, and it has caused more problems for this country, religious zealots are dying everyday because of ignorance, but can u give food to someone who doesn't want to eat? There's a saying that u can only take the donkey to the stream, but u can not force it to drink from the stream, I believe every freethinker here became a freethinker from his or her own volition, personally, I searched for what I thought to be the truth before I arrived at freethinking, I had practiced various religions, and I discovered that they were all about the same thing, and that is control, religion is all about control, but my point is that I ventured out to search for the truth with an open mind, only an open palm can receive, a closed fist can not receive. In the case of our country, I do not think or believe that majority of Nigerians are willing to accept the notion of the non existence of God, cos the idea of a personal God has been enshrined into the very hearts of most Nigerians, what I think we should do, as freethinkers, is to make information readily available for people who genuinely want to seek for knowledge, cos if we are not careful we might end up being bigoted like the very people we seek to enlighten, cos right now, I can assure u that most atheists feel that anybody who embraces religion has not seen the light, so we have to be careful, @op, very beautiful and insightful post. |
I've seen a lot of rappers, and I usually don't listen to Nigerian rap artists, but stre3tkid's very talented, the dude's gifted, and he's taking Nigerian rap music to another dimension. Big ups to stre3tkid. |
Uyi Iredia: Bolaino, I'm not done yet o ! @ FOLYKAZE: hopefully, will check out your links later.bros no shaking, I dey wait for u. |
All these talk of war is scaring me ooo, I won't lie, what if the christians are right? And we are indeed in the last days? |
@plaethon, why was your post hidden? |
Chibuebem: that's the problem you see, you look upon God from a purely physical perspective, but it's more than that. You ask for evidence, yet you cannot explain even some of the simplest of 'seemingly natural' processes, like pondering and reasoning and consciousness. Life is deeper than the physical. Reality is broad and personal, like uyi said, God is spoken of by his acts and interventions in nature, he is a spiritual mighty God. His greatest intervention in the physical was in the person of Jesus. The Logos. The Word of life. God with us, Christ in us. Do you want evidence? Look at a true Christian. He is brimming with real life. He is in touch with reality. Do not wait for death. The answers are here already. Embrace life.my good mann, apart from the christian bible (a book filled with, contradictions, and false prophecies) what proof do you have that jesus not budha or mithra, was the physical the representation of God? |
@uyi, I'm confused at your belief in good my good sire, you find it difficult to believe in the possibility of life elsewhere in this galaxy, but u believe in a God that there's no concrete proof of it's existence, and if I might ask which God do you believe in? Is it the christian yawheh? Or the muslim allah? |
