Black Peni5: I agree, but if Africa is invaded today, I wonder how all these trivialities will help. How much of these have we been able to export outside the shores of our continent.

Yep...ur comment is as relevant as the thread.

texanomaly: First of all, go back and read your post. You never mentioned Africa. If it is implied, I don't see it. All of the inventions are important to someone. The only person making fun of Africans here is you. Don't try to put that on me. I did not try to put you down. I merely stated a fact. You should check yours before posting. That statement still stands. Stop making my point for me. Please.

I was too harsh with my reply and I'm sorry, but my anger at the black race is not cos I hate being black, I'm very very very proud being black,

it's just that the black man is always content with his situation, he doesn't strive to make things better, when things happen he just takes them like that, he doesn't ask questions, and asking questions is what leads to progress, when u ask questions, u get answers and these answers help shape your reality,

I created this topic so that we as black men can see truly that we haven't contributed meaningfully to the overall growth of the world, and maybe, just maybe, a black man who reads this post might feel challenged to do something about this, I apologize again if I offended u with my reply in anyway,

PoliticsWhat Has The Black Race Done To Promote Overall Development For Mankind? by bolaino(op): 8:31am On Jul 12, 2013
This thread doesn't seek to disrespect black people, I'm black and I'm proud of my skin color, but the truth is I believe the black man has done nothing to contribute to the overall growth and progress of mankind, going according to biblical accounts the black race is cursed, and the black race is supposed to be in servitude to his white brothers, (noah cursed his son ham for refusing to put a covering on him when ham found him drunk and naked)

Right from time, the black man has always been primitive in everything, even when the white man sought for ways to better themselves, the black man resorted to continual worship of deities who demanded human sacrifice, the black man has always been selfish, always thinking about himself, and his family, and if he is a good man, he might put his community in his thoughts, but the black man doesn't care about what happens in other parts of the world, he feels there is no need to worry about the things going on in other parts of the world cos they do not have any apparent effect on him,

If it wasn't for the white man, I wonder where the black race would be by now, can u imagine chaka zulu orchestrating plans on how to get to the moon? Or oba erediawa the 1st, being worried about the aPparent effects of global warming? Of course not, even the thought will bring a smile to your face, look at the history of the world, the black man has never invented any thing of relevance,

I'm not saying the black man is not intelligent, there are millions of very intelligent black men, But I honestly believe the black race has slowed down the pace of development in the world, call me what ever u want but these are my views, and they might change when maybe a black man develops a machine that moves faster than the speed of light,

that a fertilized egg is not a human being is technically wrong.

what is a human being, I ask again.
so are you saying in essence that sperms are human beings? That we should consider sperms as humans.
Christianity EtcRe: Re; Abortion Debate- Should lawmakers/religious leaders support abortion? by bolaino(m): 11:34am On Jul 10, 2013
I think it's high time the nigerian lawmakers pass a bill in support of abortion, cos like the Op pointed out there is high rate of abortion in countries where it is prohibited than in countries where they allow it, and it'll help save lives of countless teens who go to quacks to get their pregnancies removed.

Billionaires: You are funny OP, it is called Politics. You do not have to lose hope in your country, except you are a coward. Until people like you pick up that form, register in a political party and get elected to serve gentlemanly, then politics will keep staying the way it is, cos only the strong minded vie for position why the intelligent cowards like Wole Soyinka, keep talking and talking. Talk is cheap.
so are u saying that this is how the game of politics is played in other parts of the world? Exchanging blows and using all sorts of weapons to make a point?
Christianity EtcRe: Re; Abortion Debate- Should lawmakers/religious leaders support abortion? by bolaino(m): 9:17am On Jul 10, 2013
I have always believed the issue of having an abortion lies solely with the lady, (if she's single) and the couple, not religion or government.

What happened in the rivers state house of assembly is abhorrent, it's despicable and it's a disgrace not only to the people of rivers state but to every Nigerian all over the world. Words cannot express the disgrace I feel as a Nigerian, after watching and reading about what happened in the rivers state house of assembly,

Imagine a country where supposed leaders, who ought to be learned and educated, exchanging blows and using all forms of weapons to fight each other, imagine leaders that were elected into office behaving as common street rascals, I take that back, the behavior of the lawmakers is an insult to street rascals, cos I know that streets rascals would have settled their differences in a more amicable way,

Is our leaders behave like this, how do they want their followers to behave? I am scared, scared of where this country is heading to, I used to be hopeful for this country, but after watching the videos about lawmakers teaching us how to fight with wood and other weapons, I now feel a sense of hopelessness for this country, Where is Nigeria heading to? I smh for my beloved country.

PoliticsRe: Ijaw And Itsekiri Please Come Together!!! by bolaino(op): 9:52pm On Jul 04, 2013
wirinet: You should be talking to the Ijaws and not the Itsekiris. The Itsekiris have not been known to engage in violence. We prefer the civil way of resolving disputes, we write petitions, go to court, protest peacefully and lobby to achieve our aims. It is the Ijaws that always attack the Itsekiris and other neighbouring communities as a means of achievinig their objectives, a local government headquarters was located in itsekiri area in warri, they attacked all itsekiri villages and town, now they demand that election must not take place and the chairmanship of warri north should automatically be handed over to them, they have started attacking itsekiris again to press home their demand.

The most annoying thing is if the itsekiris in warri north is left to slug it out with Ijaws in warri north, the Ijaws stand no chance, but the ijaws in warri north would import mercinaries from Warri south, bayelsa and even rivers just to fight in warri north.

All this is because violence pays in nigeria. It is the only means to get what you want and the Ijaws, Fulanis and Boko Haram understand that well.
my brother, I understand what u're saying, but please let's give peace another trial, violence solves nothing, let's put heads together to seek for a way forward.
PoliticsRe: Ijaw And Itsekiri Please Come Together!!! by bolaino(op): 9:45pm On Jul 04, 2013
ijaw citizen: They always have things to accuse Ijaws of. The Ijaws in all 3 Warri LGAs are more numerous than all the Itsekiri people but on paper, they claim the Itsekiri are more populous than Ijaws. Injustice upon injustice.

All these claims about Ijaw people coming from elsewhere to fight for Warri Ijaws is baseless and unfounded. Even the Ijaws in Bomadi & Burutu were busy accomodating displaced Ijaws. No group of Ijaw youths went to warri to fight for the Ijaws in Warri It is the overwhelming superior population of Warri Ijaws that made the Itsekiris think that Ijaw bought mercenaries.

The accusation is even more baseless because when the fighting got to a stage, it went diabolical-both parts using some form of spiritual protection to protect their troops. That was when the superiority of the Egbesu power of the Ijaws was noticed as Ijaw boys became immune to bullets and machete cuts- a fact the nigerian soldiers sent there can attest to. There was nothing like Ijaw mercenaries coming from elsewhere, It was the very Ijaws of Warri that contained the entire Itsekiri nation.

If you understand the trend of Itsekiri propaganda, you'd understand that they are all a bunch of chronic liars. They have a way of twisting facts to gain public sympathy to demonize the Ijaws. Every statement they make are full of lies. Challenge me and I'll prove it to you.
my brother, pls let us not stoke the embers of this fire, let us apply wisdom in this situation,

Personally I've never been a fan of mtn, but this customer relations management program of theirs is really cool, i received a call from one of mtn's customer care representative named janet, and she was all helpful and polite, and she helped me update my details, the funny thing was the names I had on my details were not too correct (it seemed like the reg officer who registered my sim, made a lot of mistakes,) but this customer care rep helped me fill in my correct information, kudos to mtn on this, cos I believe if every phone line in this country is registered it'll help curb crime, shout out to MTN for this and shout out to the mtn customer care rep janet for her polite and professional assistance,

PS: pls share your experiences, maybe yours might be better or worse than mine,
