My only problem is that early starters peak out so soon. You'll begin to wonder what's wrong with Luiz Ronaldo at this stage. Even Raul Gonzalez is no longer the man he used to be, he started so early too. Okocha, Kanu and Oliseh are examples of good starters who peaked out when they were needed most.

Xti, me think all those you mentioned above have paid their dues in the world of footie.

Ronaldo has been on the stage for over 14 years, so also is Raul. Okocha, Kanu and Oliseh
also belong to the same era.

So what do you expect of them today? To still be the players they were 10 years ago? How
many of their peers are even worth the mention today?

It is true they started early, but it wasn't two years ago they started my guy.

I feel what you are saying, but it seems most of us see it as an Atiku issue alone.
The bigger picture is worrisome guys and that is what I believe adconline is talking
about.

If INEC or whoever has the right to disqualify Atiku, what happened to Kalu? I thought
they were both indicted by EFCC. What offence has Peter Obi committed to be
disqualified? Just by the abuse of power by INEC and whoever, Andy Uba is the only
candidate in Anambra and all roads have been cleared for him to march to the government
house, unperturbed.

Owen OVER JUSTIFIED the hype around him after the '98 World Cup!

This culminated in the treble he won with Liverpool in 2001 or so. Owen
is a GREAT player but unfortunately he made a wrong move to Madrid and
injury became his lot afterwards and he has NEVER being the same again

How I wish he NEVER left for Madrid and it was the same year Liverpool won
the Champions League. He must have cursed the day he took the decision to
leave Anfield.

This is highly embarrassing to say Becksy was over rated. Forget
the United connection, if there is any player that has proved himself
over again, it is DAVID.

Most of you that said he is over rated, when did you start watching the
Premiership? Maybe that will let us know your mindset 

I also beg to disagree that the likes of Fabregas, Messi and Ronaldo are over-rated.

We may have to wait for some seasons to know if they are a flash in the pan,
but for now, they are proving themselves and they are VERY YOUNG! May be we
should focus on those who have been touted to be this and that years ago and they
are nowhere NOW!

Agreed fatigue is setting in, but I belive we can still go all the way.

I would have loved if we had lost to Reading the last time so that we
can face the two MAJOR challenges before us. Our bench is zilch compared
to the gooners and the Romans and we will definitely be stretched trying to
compete on all fronts.

Yes you are right, but I believe charting a course for one's life is a personal thing.
You may have various reasons why you don't want to do somethings, but it is
important for you to know that at the end of the day, you will bear the brunt of the
whole matter.

I have seen parents force their children do things their own way, but at the end of
the day, the boy-is-good will always end up facing the music all alone when the
parents are long gone. So it is not about what our parents want or the environment
we were brought up, it is ALL ABOUT US!

I am sure you know you still owe me something

You know what? I have come to understand that when people see
reasons why they can't do anything, it is not just the excuses that
they see, the MAJOR factor is FEAR.

There is what we call fear of the unknown. Somebody told me that
when I want to do anything worthwhile, instead of asking what it,
so so and so didn't happen, I should be asking myself what if things
work out in my favour.

Whenever I want to do anything, I don't look at what I don't have, I
focus more on what I have at my disposal to make things happen.

The GREATEST fear there is, is FEAR of FAILURE and you know a lesson
I learnt so many years back that helped me conquer my fear? I want to
share it with all and I am sure it will help so many if you can see it from
my own point of view:

"WHOEVER HAS CONQUERED FEAR, HAS CONQUERED FAILURE!"

That has being my watchword for years and failure has NEVER being an
option for me. We can all be liberated from our fears if we choose to.
Instead of allowing fear run us down, why can't we allow FAITH be our
watchword? The antidote for all FEARS is FAITH!

were thinking we will beordinary without him. Look at what we are having
now? They are complaining more than us.

I do agree with you. Everybody will pay any amount to have their needs satisfied. So if you can open your eyes to see what people need around you, then money cometh to you.
