No Nigerian dey chop beef for here. No Nigerian even sabi crayfish. No lie for me, when last you chow croaker fish ? |

festacman: From recent history, the irony of this coup and the passion of ordinary Nigeriens is that the soldiers who took over from the politicians often end up as bad as the politicians. It is like Orwellian "Animal Farm". The facts are: 1. Coupists don't have any economic roadmap to follow just like the visionless politicians they removed. Their policies and programs are based on the whims and caprices of the junta leaders and they are not accountable to any one. 2. Having taken great risk to over throw a legitimate government, they will corruptly enrich themselves, their families and associates as compensation. Subsequently, they would become power-drunk dictators. Eventually, Niger and these other anglophone countries will be back to square one.
And the situation might even become worst by swapping France for Russian ruthless Wagner fighters as they will continue the exploitation of minerals and will recruit many young people and arm them with the prospect of many of them breaking away and forming militias.
The key question is, what has happened in Mali and Guinea since the Col. Assimi Goita and Col. Mamady Doumbouya took over in those countries respectively? The one in Burkina Faso just goes around in trendy military gears surrounded by armed guards, posing like a superman. The Niger republic junta just recently appointed a seasoned economist as the Prime Minister. Did you read about that? |

I don't eat rice and peppersoup of any kind, no matter how well cooked. Makes me throw up and renders me useless for the rest of that day. I can eat peppersoup seperately, but never in a combination with rice.
I outgrew my allergy for honey in my 20s. Before then, the smell of honey alone was enough to make me throw up and salivate for that entire day.

Johncuppa: Please, can you explain to me? What are the two currencies, and how they are not suppose to be in the circulation together? Thanks. Canada can afford to let their currency float with the US dollar. Their economy is stable enough to create a level playing field for both currencies to coexist without the potential danger of the US dollar running the Canadian dollar aground. Even with the side-by-side operational policy, the Canadian dollar cannot be battered to the point where inflation would skyrocket. The US can afford to float the GBP (Great Britain Pound) alongside it home currency, for the same reasons I enunciated above. Conversely, the US can always access the pound sterling in the case their domestic demand is out-running the availability of the pounds. But you have to be daft to employ the same strategy to the naira and dollar when you don't have any sort of control whatsoever on the availability of the dollar and its demand by the public. You're naively creating an artificial scarcity for a currency that is literally the foundation of your economy, seeing how Nigeria basically doesn't produce anything it consumes, and depends wholely on imports which are further dependent on the US dollar. I just dey pity Nigerians as it is. Y'all should wait for the festive period to come and see if you'll even be able to buy one fowl for your family to celebrate Xmas.. ! |

ivolt: I don't want to believe you don't know the meaning of "chaos". During covid-19, there was little to no traffic in Lagos. It will be foolish for someone to have tagged the empty roads as "chaotic".
If you want to say air traffic has almost disappeared, that is exactly what you should say. In English, words have meaning, you can't just attach your own subjective meaning. You're still very distant from the crux of the matter. Study that map, do more findings on what effects countries like ours are suffering due to the closure of Air spaces in military controlled countries currently. Then come back let's have this conversation. |

Before anyone can take you serious, can you show the number of flights in Nigeria before and after Niger closed airspace situation?
Can you show an international flight company that closed down in Nigeria because of this in the past few week?
Below is the flight track in Nigeria and some other African countries, there is no evidence to show flight reduced because of the situation of Niger closed airspace. Going by this your map, where is the next flight path after a plane glides over the Chadian Air space? |

ivolt: The map you posted shows the flight traffic over Africa as the most organized while the ones outside Africa look "chaotic". Talk of shooting yourself in the foot. I don't want to believe you don't know how to read and interprete maps. The fact that West and Central Africa are losing air traffic is a cause for plenty concern. What you consider to be "organisation" in flight routes is actually a dearth of air traffic due to closed air spaces in troubled regions of Africa. That is going to translate to dwindling revenues in the aviation sector and increased flight fares in countries that are remotely affected by the restrictions being imposed by other countries. And what you consider to be "chaotic" flight paths, translates to increased aviation activities in those regions which leads to increased revenues for those regions. As it stands, International flights originating from Nigeria have drastically reduced because the flight paths have been rerouted to Togo and Ghana, to avoid a situation where civilian commercial planes will be shot down should they venture into restricted air spaces. It is bad news for us as a country! Very bad news. |

What is criminal defamation about putting honest words to facts that are in the public glare? If you're not looking to be unfortunate, you won't throw the "cyberbullying" concept around, even in cases where it doesn't apply. Your president is a thief and a certificate forger.
