BlueRayDick: I believe this favorable Leverkusen fixture is one of the advantages of coming 1st in the group stage.
I guess Arteta knew what he was doing pushing the boys by starting the senior boys in most of our fixtures all through the group stage.
I just hope we will take advantage of the favorable fixture which is due to hardwork and advance to the semi final before we meet a seemingly tougher opponent. Do you really think so? |

Leyqute: @bolded That’s poppycock and you know it.
You guys have been 2nd for 3 consecutive seasons. You haven’t overachieved. That’s stagnation.
You can say you’ve overachieved if last season you finished 4th or are way off the title race.
The fact that you’re dueling with a weakened City side makes it even worse.
You should’ve won it last season. You should be winning it this season. Yet it’s slipping away.
What you should be doing now is asking for blood. You didn't get his point. |

Gerrard59: Bolu96,
Where in Unilag is the minting machine for perfect CGPA grads located?
What's the sauce behind the relentless feats? Tell us, ejooooo
What kind of air do Lagosians breathe (all perfect CGPA grads except one studied at universities in Lagos)? The other one is from Covenant, a Lagos effect. Lol, Gerrard, it's high time someone ask these questions. From the outside, one would think it's easy and they're just "dashing" it but as someone who's in the system, I know way better. The only thing I can say is universities in Lagos (especially Unilag) operate a merit based system. Their process is transparent right from their admission process; if you merit it, you get it. It's as simple as that. Just as Lagos is above most states in development, the best of brains are the one applying to the school, the competition is massive(high utme scorers) which you know as someone who follow the trend, so this usually translate to great results. Most universities in the East and other places are corrupt and still hold on to those archaic believe of "A is for God, fight for C" system. These are few reasons I can think of. |

Actually, we're friends though, that's why I find this interesting. He is based in Ibadan, but I'm in lagos. Are you a fan of his or you know him personally? Oh, not personally. But yes, I'm a big fan of his. It's just from his posts which I've followed over the years. I know he's based in Ibadan, I thought you were too from some of your posts but it's okay. I admire the way he writes, I know he likes writing fictions and short stories. |

DeadPresidents: Your case is not extreme. I went from 69kg to 81kg (my target weight) between May and November.
I did this by learning what my daily maintenance calories were (2700 calories) and then eating above it.
I bought a food scale and I’d measure how much rice I’d put in the pot or how much flour I’d put in the Pancake mix. I’d then use Myfitnesspal app to try to find the calorific value of the raw food and I’d eat like it was a chore. I don’t enjoy eating food. No matter how sweet the food is, my stomach would lock up after a few morsels and then i would force down food until i hit the goal. Then I’d go to gym so I don’t end up shapeless as a result of bulking
After hitting 81kg, i decided to go down to 78kg as I felt better and more athletic when i was lighter.
You can add weight even with high metabolism. Maybe your maintenance calories are higher than the figure i put. Chat GPT can help estimate your maintenance calories if you ask it nicely
Also during the weight gain phase, I avoided serious cardio. I stopped playing football and running until i hit my goal. But beware, once you add weight losing it would need you to do everything you did to gain weight but you would need to be even stricter. For example, i was not really measuring the quantity of oils and spices i use in my food and i got away with that when weight gaining. You won’t believe how many calories are in a spoonful of the oils we use to cook at home.
My bulk food of choice was pasta. 565 grams of spaghetti contained nearly 2000 calories. Pancakes were another food that would have you gaining weight because flour has mad calorific content
I attached an image of my food log when i was trying to gain weight. "Weizen Mehl" means "White Flour" in German Interesting. Thank you so much. |
