At community level, we can offer full scholarships to our young ones who are academically strong.

I sponsor from second year, those who are studying psychology and are academically strong, mentoring them to relocate abroad with their skills after graduation.
Is this true? Please tell me more.

Over this weekend we'll take a tally of people scoring with the foot matching the wing they play and the opposite. Let's see the most common.
Ask him from which side did Madueke cross for Cucurella's goal last Sunday.

lolz bro, i am surprised you are really following my situation o...

wow!!! shows people really care...

anyway... i have left everything to fate o, the advise i got from many people here really helped me, so many of them still calls me, but i dont pick... all their numbers are unique, so its easy for me to know when they are the ones calling, anytime i have money i will call them and negotiate how much i should pay, for now i went with the advise i got here, that i should not bother myself (which to a large extent has helped me)

i cant kill myself brother, and no one of my contacts have called me that they defamed me neither have i seen any defamation from them... (over 3 months of defaulting now)

though i think it depends on the loan apps i am owing... probably they are the nice ones...

so thats the update for now
Yes, I am. Hmmm, its well. I guess the advice given is the best for now. As far as they haven't defamed you, I guess it's a good thing. I really wish I could help.
Are you owing palmpay too?

The security have done everything within their power and within their knowledge as to how dangerous the Jackal is. He improvised and executed the mission which simply means the assassination was successful due to him being a genius and not because they were terrible at their jobs.

The guy looked more like an aquatic life cinematographer in the middle of the sea than an assassin. Even when the drone got too close for comfort, he jammed its signal.

Most people are seeing things from the position of trying to find plot hole in that scene than to acknowledge the Jack as a genius who had everything figured out.

One of the boats came first to scout the suspicious boat.

It was after the confirmation that they sent more boats...but by that time UDC was in the water. The whole thing took about a minute because The Jackal was even counting seconds.

For the security personnel, it's harder than you think.

When there's a sniper shooting from so far out that you can barely see him, unless you're suicidal, you can't just jump in and die for nothing like the previous guard.

I think what the security should have had is a way to deploy a smoke screen. This would have been the most effective way to counter a sniper.

If they had several smoke launchers on ground, they could fire some into the water, but at least before they land, some of the smoke could disperse in the air to block the sniper's vision
The Jackal thought the best way to kill UDC was through water so he planned on that but what if UDC didn't swim because, remember, he didn't feel like it until he was convinced. All the Jackal planning would have gone to null, no?

The day of the jackal episode 9 is a solid 8/10 for me.
This is a peak and a very intensed episode.
The killing of Udc was inevitable, immediately he got into the water, that was it!! There was no escaping at all.
If not for the little disturbance that the jackal encountered, all it could have taken to kill Udc was a single shot.

My own concern is that the jackal has made a mistake by killing the Spanish gangster his brother in law wanted to introduce him to, that has now shifted the eyes of international police and Mi6 to Spain and the location and definitely his brother in law will be interrogated.
I will like to see how he will get out of that one and coupled with the fact that Udc securities are giving him the chase of his life.

Perhaps he already planned a way out with his wife ( she loves him too much to leave him) so i guess we will have to find out in the episode finali next week.
To think that he didn't want to swim in the first place.

Day of the jackal Episode 9 💯

The precision and patience was everything
Precision has always been his modus operandi. Remember when Bianca was reading the news of the crime boss killed. They use the word precision and skill which gave her a clue that it might be the Jackal.

Patience is a strong suit of him.

Oh Xfire! Man, you took me a long way back. I read his thread and downloaded the PDF file after the Nairaland hack in 2014. I still remember Xfire's number one mistake students make in not achieving first class: womanising. See why I said I sacrificed a lot? grin

Do permutations and combinations,
but try to hit 5.0 across the remaining semesters. That way, even if you don't attain first class, you did your best, especially on the final lap.
Yes, Xfire. I loved that man(no homo). Gave a lot of valuable lessons in which anybody who's serious about career and academic growth should follow. Last I followed, he was working in the oil sector. He would have gone very far now. He even used to organise scholarships.

At the bolded, I have.
At seconded bolded, it would get me to about 4.6.
Thank you. I'd give it my best.

Yes, a regret I have in life is not graduating with a first class. I sacrificed a lot for it.

But looking back, I try sha. grin I surpassed almost everyone who passed me during year one. The girl who made the Chancellor List was so hot during Yr 1, but at the final lap, I surpassed her with 0.001 point. It gives me joy till date to beat her on the final lap. The guy who came best (not a first class as well) did very well by giving us enough gap. No first class from my department, but the sister department had two and could have had three if the third lad was serious during the final year.

Yes, I have a predilection for first class grads. I want to know their trajectories. I used to read Punch Campus Champion. I bookmarked the page. I read the interview of Ayodele Dada and many others. In fact, then, once I see you graduated with a first class, I immediately follow you on Instagram and LinkedIn. Also, I made friends with a lot of first class grads including the three female corp members posted to my department. One is an associate professor in China. The second is a business analyst in Canada and the third is an investment banker in Lagos. I also made friends with folks who were not too serious with their books, and e sure me die say one of them go become governor or legislator as they are all politicians today. grin
I understand you very well. I share your sentiments as well. I preach it to every students around me. The first nairalander I followed was xfire.. I think he has deactivated now but I read his thread(2014) on career, they were so valuable. He had the same regret as you finishing extremely close to a first. If you check my earliest posts, you'd see my comments on it. Jarus made a first too(4.57). It was why I followed him.

I'm currently in school( went back) in my 3rd year, CGPA is above 4.0+, my chances of making a first is very slim. I'd need to do extremely well this session and next to stand a great chance.

A no-name university. That is, the name was too useless for my liking. Although, I see the school making strides these days especially in publications and rankings. But then, it was a no-name university to me. It is part of the reason I vowed that if I don't get to attend an elite university outside Nigeria, I rather go to Covenant.
A biology related course. Na why more than 70% of my classmates were girls. In fact, there were only five boys in my department. The sister department had more boys than we did, but again, there were more girls as well.
Pure water second class upper, but above 4.0+ and I made the Vice Chancellor's List during my third and final year. Three from my department and five from the sister department. Only one girl made the list from both departments.
Interesting. At the bolded, lol. I can relate to it.
Thank you for the info.

At the second bolded, when you say it like that, you seem to downplay your effort, sounds like you are kinda angry with yourself for not doing better. Perhaps why you are particular about first class grads. I might be wrong though.

In the last scene, he killed his entire unit except his friend.
The reason he killed them was influenced with what happened during the wedding, the team killed off innocent people especially the women with no remorse and even lied to cover it up so that a jet can blow off the remains of the dead bodies.
You can see how his team were jubilating for the war crime they committed.
It was just him and his friend that felt sad for the innocent people and women that were killed.
His team has no human sympathy, they were brutal animals in human form so he thought that killing all of them to escape was a fair game.
They deserved death for what they did during the wedding.
Okay. Thank you.

The day of the jackal episode 8 is a solid 9/10 for me
Personally, this is the best episode so far.
This episode opens up and gives you insight on what happened.
The script writing, dialogues and plots are so on point.

The jackal isn't just dangerous, he is a calculating genius in a baddas way.
What happened at the wedding ceremony where they were sent to bring a taliban leader alive.
What his unit did that day influenced the action he took at the last scene of this episode.

I am trying not to drop spoilers but those that have seen the last episode understands what i am driving at.
At the bolded, could you explain why? I've seen it but I'd like your perspective.

Get into a globally recognised firm in professional services and/or financial services. Get the experience (at least three years). Get relevant and recognised certifications such as ACCA, CAIA, CFA etc. Actuarial certifications are also helpful. Apply to be transferred to an office in the abroad. This would take time. So five years minimum. If internal transfer isn't possible, apply to MBA programs that are good but aren't too expensive. For instance, in the UK, apply to Imperial College MBA not Cambridge or London Business School unless you get enough money or the brains to win a scholarship. In the US, target MBA programs in the Texas area - many Nigerians, lots of good schools and abundant scholarships. Make sure the MBA program is STEM approved so you benefit from the three years OPT program.

Alternatively, with your globally recognised certifications, apply to jobs in the UAE and South Africa. With a UAE or South African experience, you become further eligible for roles in the Western World and East Asia.

There are Nairalanders who have done what I outlined here. Good luck!
Hi Gerrard, could you say what you studied in school? The CGPA you graduated with? If you feel it's too much information to reveal, you could give an hint.
For instance, the course- you could say STEM or humanities. CGPA- You could use class of degree.

Thank you.
