if there is one piece advice i can give. Avoid luxury cars as long as you can. Na drain. Serious drain.

Anybody buying luxury car should be on his 3rd hammer. No hammer once and go launch luxury car. Unless it is the 15m variety of course.

A simple way to judge this is to check the courses and career paths chosen by top JAMB (UTME) and WAEC (WASSCE) scorers in Nigeria. The majority chose STEM/quant-based courses.

The data is clear. Anyone who disagrees should provide a stronger and data driven argument.

It is not only doable. It is done. Last night while you guys were debating the issue I went to 2 different sites that were advertising JAMB past questions in Government and I scored 80% in both of them.

Let a non-STEM student who never studied Physics or Chemistry go to the same sites and try it with those subjects, without studying.

My sister who was a STEM student was pushed to write GCE while waiting for Uni admission. She registered for Government which she never did in school cos she didn’t want to do much studying, and she aced it with almost no studying. If an Arts student tries it with Physics or Further Mathematics he will have a stroke.

She told my mum that anybody who fails Government should be jailed.

Studying maths doesn’t make u smarter than someone who decides to study psychology . That mindset that one is smart because he chose to study a STEM based course is very very ridiculous . It has made parents mislead their kids and disrupt their life

Accounting is a light science. For Chartership you only need 50% in each exam and the Chartership is not graded. So once I score my 50%, I'm through to the next round, so I didn't kill myself. A Maths graduate has nothing to prove by being an award winner in Accounting Chartership, same way he doesn't need to carry first in Psychology. He will carry 2.1 with bathroom slippers on at worst, or an easy 1st class, while art students are killing themselves with thousands of hours of revision for the same thing.

You are from a STEM background who went back to put in for a behavioral science degree program at B.Sc level and u are taking ur course mates tutorials in stats , maths and other STEM based courses right ? Is ur current CGPA the highest in ur department and level as we speak ? Or do u have someone who is from non-STEM background currently topping the class ?

No lie told. It was always the Science students representing their house or school in Literary and Debating Society or inter house or school debates. If it didn't dey, it didn't dey!

He's not wrong, but you'd agree that people that the people that most of the people that chose the arts didn't do so because they were good writers either. For secondary school then, a fair chunk of the writers that represented the school in essay writing competitions were pooled from science classes.

Lmao there are people that love numbers but cannot hack writing because of its subjective nature. The subjective nature makes it seem like you are writing correct answers meanwhile it's incorrect but due to similarities.
There's a reason I used nebosh IGC as an example.

Depends on the institution you attended, which one is general knowledge? Futo is English 10questions, Mathematics 20, physics and chemistry 10 each making it 50 questions. For just 20minutes without calculator. Post utme is not waec standard anything. E dun tee wey you comot for the system Senior man .

The example u set is actually biased na . U skewed the data to make it seem UTME result is the most inportant consideration when the school is considering who to grant admission

Baba let me tell u one truth I’ve learnt from experience ; UTME is usually harder than POST UTME . If u write UTME by urself with proper preparations u will definitely find POST UTME an anti climax ; it’s usually simpler than u thought .


This hypothetical example would’ve swayed me if the people crying about glitch are all people who wanted to study medicine , law and accounting kinda courses . I saw one on FP saying her brother or sister scored similar high score in 2024 choosing computer science only for him or her to score 162 this year.

The question is how do u score that high for computer science last year and still have to retake JAMB this year ? Are u saying computer science too is so hard to get into with such high scores ? Why is nobody showing us their last year post UTME results to back their academic brilliance story up ?

Irrespective of how competitive the course is , 295 in JAMB will get u admission if u pass post UTME well .
