raumdeuter: When I was younger I was so skinny that I partly believed I had HIV
A lot of movement will increase your metabolism, As you grow older maybe do more sedentary work you will not burn as much as you eat
Another hack which wont be healthy is to eat late at night. All these suggestions will end up diminishing your health.
When you are skinny, you have little problem with cholesterol, little with sleep apnea, heart attack, diabetes risk is reduced
If you see the amount of money people spend on all these weight related diseases you wont want to be fat
Bro enjoy your skinniness Mine is extreme oo. But thank you sir. |

Ibime: Carbs especially fufu and starchy foods
But if your metabolism is too fast, you just have to wait till you cross 40 for your metabolism to slow down
Some few with extremely fast metabolism like my uncle, he crossed 60 and still can't gain weight. I'm the opposite, I average probably 1,500 calories per day, and still quite heavy, my body grabs any food I put into it. I fast 20 hours a day and eat 2 small meals between 5pm and 9pm. I eat all these, still no difference. I guess nature is just dealing with me. I'll be 30 next year, so you're saying I still have to wait another 10 years. Omo!! I actually wanted to start gyming to gain muscles at least. |

afrodoc: Weight loss comes from net calorie deficit.
The more you eat, the more calories you gain.
The more you exercise (plus your basal metabolism) the more calories you lose.
The amount of weight you can lose comes from subtracting the latter from the former.
It works like a profit and loss table. Every bit of physical activity counts as calories and adds up in the loss column. Every bit of food you eat counts as calories adds up in the profit column.
The difference is that the food adds up easily to plenty calories and while the exercise does not add up to plenty calories easily.
Diet is more important in weight loss but exercise is not useless. Exercise also has other health benefits beyond weight loss. Thank you doc but can you be specific on some of the food please? |

Roland17: I go type wetin fit pass as dissertation, if I attempt to answer this question in my own view.
Essentially, there are 2 major ideologies/ beliefs/ world views that span across different aspects of life (politics, economy, Government, human health, religion, education, marriage, law, science etc) and they are conservative and liberal.
However, over the last 50 decades, we have seen the rise of a 3rd ideology known as moderates. They pick ideologies from both sides and sort of try to stay away from the extremes of liberals and conservatives. That is where you find Moderate Republicans/ Liberals.
Ordinarily, Conservatives are right leaning while liberals are left leaning. However, there are extremes of both world views and those are the far left vs far right.
The world view and the interpretation has evolved over decades when it comes to political parties in the United States. The 2 major parties have moved ideologies but Republicans are right leaning while liberals lean left. Both parties/ sides have lost supporters because of extreme leaning ideologies and that has led to an increase in moderates. Moderates have become consequential in American politics because they form the bulk of undecided voters capable of swinging the tides.
Trump’s position has evolved over decades. He has leaned left historically at least until the idea of joining politics. He has since held strongly to a conservative base (MAGA), particularly the extreme (far right) leaning wing. Thank you so much sir Roland. I understand it well now. Political psychology is in trouble tomorrow. |

raumdeuter: Left wing wants more govt interference they want resources to be allocated according to your needs. Left wingers worry about people being greedy so they won't to take from those that are perceived to have more than they need and shared with those who don't
Right wing want minimal govt interference and for resources to get to you according to how much you struggle and work hard. Right wing worry about people being lazy and want everyone to eat what they work for. Basically you eat what you kill Thank you Egbon Raumdeuter. |

Neto doesn’t have his level of talent, but you can see him tracking back when we’re under pressure or after losing the ball. Madueke, on the other hand, just strolls around like he’s already made it. You just made me remember Ziyech. Hakim "I don cross, if you like no nod", Ziyech. |

This has been my source of income for the past six years. You can make 300k+ if you're really good at what you do. One thing I've noticed is—it favours those who are in the sciences— I'm a maths teacher. I've been mostly lucky as my clients are generally good people. They rarely default on payments which is a good thing for me because I don't really know how to ask people for money even if it's what I worked for. Overall, it has been a good experience so far and I'm still in the business. |

diggz: You see Danfo drivers, Okada riders, and Keke people… bro, fear them o!
I have a cousin who had an accident involving a Keke rider. The Keke rider was clearly at fault, but because my cousin was driving one of those luxury Toyotas now worth ₦15 million in today’s market, a crowd quickly gathered and started threatening him. Out of concern for the Keke rider—who, by the way, had no visible injuries—my cousin offered to take him to the hospital. That’s when the real wahala started.
They began demanding that he buy a brand-new Keke. Luckily, the accident happened right in front of a filling station between Warri and Eku, several years ago. The owner of the station, who happened to be a local and spoke the language, quickly intervened—just in time too, because the Mopol stationed at the filling station had already cocked his gun in support of the Keke man and was threatening my cousin.
The station owner ordered the Mopol to step back and addressed the crowd. He told them that my cousin had already shown more than enough goodwill by agreeing to take the Keke man to the hospital, and that anything beyond that wasn’t his responsibility. He also instructed another Mopol to escort my cousin to the hospital, stay until payment was made for the man’s checkup, then follow him to Eku and return. He firmly warned both the Keke man and the Mopol that if anything happened to my cousin, they would be held accountable.
That’s how my cousin got out of the situation unharmed—physically, at least. Mentally and financially? Completely drained. Egbon, I saw what you did there oo. |
