An Ohio church has apologized for an Easter lesson in which a pastor encouraged students to slap, cut and spit on him — incidents that were captured in videos and posted online.Justin Ross is lead pastor at Impact City Church in Pataskala near Columbus. He said the incident happened Monday at an organized hangout session for middle and high school students.Ross said an associate pastor encouraged the attacks on himself as a way to help students learn about Easter and the crucifixion of Jesus."My intention was just to show them how much Jesus loved them," associate pastor Jaddeus Dempsey told WCMH. The Columbus Dispatch reports that several students took the associate pastor up on the offer, and one cut him on the neck. "He's like, 'I don't want you to go crazy with it, but I do want you to slice it down my back and make me bleed,'" 12-year-old Ai'janae Parker said. "I thought it was pretty weird. A dismissed Police officer identified as Felix Nwogugu has been arrested for an alleged arms and ammunition racket in Abia state.

This was confirmed by the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Ene Okon in a statement, which he stated that the officer was nabbed in connection with an armed robbery case in the state.
Mr. Ene Okon added that the surveillance patrol team of Isiala Ngwa Area Command in the state, while on patrol in the area sighted two suspected hoodlums operating on motorcycle with registration number GE 418 QC on the Isiala Ngwa axis of the Eungu Port Harcourt express way.
Okon stated that on sighting the Police detectives, the suspects jumped off the motorcycle and fled into the bush and abandoned a bag on the motorcycle.
The Police boss pointed out that the Police team gave the suspects a hot chase which led to the eventual arrest of one of the them identified as Chiedozie Martins who hails from Umunkpeyi Mbawsi, in Isiala Ngwa North LGA.
He added that a search of abandoned bag revealed that a locally made Revolver pistol with its three live ammunition were in it.

Nigeria Police Thursday arraigned two dismissed personnel Idoko Sunday and Katdel Dabit in court for complicity in the unfortunate death of an officer of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Ogar Jumbo.

Police spokesman Frank Mba in a statement said the two erstwhile traffic wardens have been remanded in Kuje Prisons pending the next adjournment of the case.

Sunday and Dabit beat Jumbo to death in March before his wife and two children by men of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) for “violating traffic rules.”

Mba said their arraignment was directed by the “Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu to ensure a transparent, accountable, comprehensive and speedy investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the late NSCDC officer.”

The police, however, said, “The arraignment of the erstwhile Traffic Wardens is sequel to the outcome of an investigation into the case of alleged discreditable conduct and unlawful exercise of authority reported against them on 20th March 2019.”

Police spokesman Mba said Sunday and Dabit, who was dismissed after Ogar’s death, had earlier been subjected to the internal disciplinary procedures of the Force – tried in an orderly room.

“Police investigations positively indicted them for assault and excessive use of force on the deceased after his arrest,” Mba said.

Mba explained that forensic analysis in the autopsy report clearly traced the cause of death to injuries inflicted on the deceased during his encounter with the traffic wardens.

​The police spokesman stated that the autopsy report states that Jumbo’s death was due to blunt force injury to the head, multiple skins and soft tissue injuries on the forehead and face and that there was no natural disease in the body to sufficiently explain the sudden death.

He said while the police regret the unfortunate incident which resulted in the death of Ogar Jumbo as the IGP Adamu “enjoins the public not to lose faith in the force, reiterating his earlier assurances that, under his watch, no form of impunity or man’s inhumanity to man will go unpunished.”

The police “warns any Police Officer found wanting for unlawful use of Force and other sundry offences, will be publicly named, shamed and brought to book to serve as a deterrent to others.”

Bail is the temporary release of a person who has been arrested, charged to court or imprisoned, pending the conclusion of investigation or the determination of the case against him, or the determination of his appeal against conviction. There are 2 types of bail; police bail and court bail, thus bail can be granted by the Police or by the Courts.

In the Court the general rule is that anyone who is not arraigned for an offence punishable by death can be admitted to bail. The law provides that anyone arrested must be brought before a court of law within a reasonable time or the person should be released on bail. Reasonable time is defined as 24 hours after arrest where a court is situated within 40 kms from the Police station and 48 hours where the court is far away from the station. The process for applying for bail at the station is in writing, the person applying shall produce a surety and the application shall include the passport photograph of the surety, if conditions are set for the bail,the suspect must satisfy the conditions before he is released. Bail is free in the police station however in reality this is far from the truth as some policemen demand payment for such bail applications even though the monies collected are never rendered to their superiors.

,My names are Amatu Sankey am from bayelsa state. I've a complain against a police officer called Timadi Isaac (phone number 08136170332) who is the IPO handling my son's case in Yenagoa,Bayelsa state anti cultism units.

My son Tena Sankey 14 and is friend Dino 15 including three girls where arrested on February of this year 2019,on suspicious of cultism and they where all under age.the three girls where released on the day of the arrest,while the boys where detained,we did all we could to seek for there bail,but the said amount for bail by the IPO #300,000 for the both boys was beyond us.After five mouths in detention they where taken to court on June 16,the court refers the case to a family court because of the ages of the boys.they where brought back to police detention and ask we the parents to come for the bail till went the case will be taken to the family court.we want for there bail and disame IPO is calling #25,000.00,which we said bail is free.The Second detain suspect Dino ways released on this month of September 2019 after eight month in police detention.

How he was release,he called is mum from the cell and told are that he has made some money inside the cell, he gave is mother #20,000 for is bail,money he made in detention.The IPO after take the sum of #20,000 from Dino's mother, according to Dino when he was been release five thousand on him was search and collected by the IPO,making #25,000 collected.
My son Tena Sankey is still in detention and IPO is demanding #25,000 to bail him out,Please if bail for the common man is also free your intervention is urgently needed.
