ziccoit: I conducted similar survey though not by using questionnaire 80% of educated respondents are either don't have PCV by not registering at all or choosing not to collect them or have PCV and have decided to sit at home on Election Day. INEC settled that about 81%of registered voters v collected their pvc's. In your poll, of those that v collected their PVC what percentage said they'll not vote ? And where was your poll conducted? |
Politics › Re: Shock As PDP Races To 7% Lead by bondingman: 6:54pm On Mar 25, 2015 |
ziccoit: Survey conducted by questionnaire in Nigeria is not reliable. Most of the respondents don't vote. I can bet you 50% of them are likely not going to vote. So, this is useless. Possession of PVC n willingness to vote were part of d questions used in the survey |

How did they send a questionaire to the woman in ogunpa market in Ibadan who only cares about Sai Buhari
How did the fulani man rearing his cattle in the field fill out this senseless questionaire
How did this questionaire get the opinion of the trader selling spare part in Onitsha
Some jobless people would just sit in their office and write down anything just to scam Jonathan In my own personal poll I carried out in a south-south university, out of 600 respondents that r willing to vote, only 2 said they'll vote buhari, the rest said Jonathan so this poll result is not a surprise at all. |

TheGoodJoe:
Ask your self why GEJ has not taking any major step to enable us refine and export refined products.
The policies we have on ground favor the corrupt cabals and this government favors the corrupt few. If we want to move forward, and achieve what you are crying out for, we need to stamp out corruption.
That is our public enemy number one. Then we need policies that can grow the export institution in a less corrupt environment. One can't shout 'corruption cease' and it stops! You can't even unlawfully/lawfully lock up some corrupt official and it ceases. This is democracy n the courts can set free a corrupt guilty official. Strengthening our institutions is a way of checking corruption/stealing Jonathan had done it in IPPS, e-wallet fertilizer/seed distribution etc, he's tackling them one at a time. |

' he was quoted verbatim. Now give me the exact link quoting Buhari of this exact comment on making the value of Naira equal to Dollar So until the inverted coma's aren't seen he didn't say it, right? That's the way the reporter decided to present his statement. |

TheGoodJoe: The Central Bank Governor, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, recently unveiled a plan to revert the naira to its pre-1986 value. Prof. Soludo said among other thing that #20 will become the country's highest denomination against #1000 which is currently the highest. Doing this will put the naira at about #1.25 to American (U.S) dollar and invariably transform the naira into a world class currency, and become West African's common currency by 2009. http://www.nigeriavillagesquare.com/articles/hakeem-babalola/redenomination-or-redomination-give-soludo-a-chance.html Redenomination if it's done, the naira will be strengthened against the dollar, but it would n't take long before the naira begins to fall against the dollar to its pre-redenomination value inasmuch as we only depend on crude oil as our source of foreign exchange in d country; when oil price falls, that new naira will fall. |

blazes4: lol... japan and china are export driven countries so they would not want to achieve this. part of the reasons why china's products are cheap is because of the value of their currency. nigeria is an importing nation and stable naira is what we need. although it's not so feasible to achieve equality but the naira can be revalued and made stable. In d simplest terms how can it be made stable? |

They argue on what they have limited understanding of.
He's not aware of taxes and other sources of revenue even claiming it's the oil revenue only that's spent on government expenses.
May God save this country ooo How much does taxes n other sources of revenue add, u can simply look at d Nigerian budget to see the difference from what oil generates other sources expectedly will bring less than $6b |

chibas: u guys should think, we can't continue this way, diversify the economy and let us stop the importation of rice and fish because we have the capacity to produce and also get the refinery working and see as the naira will appreciate to let say 1dollar=115naira. Diversification of economy is not done at an instant, GEJ is doing it, this past christmas season prices of food stuff didn't go high as before because we're improving in d agricultural sector. Once the increased power generated is transmitted n distributed for consumption, tnw enabling environment will be created for investors/industries to come in and the diversification is on course. GEJ is doing it, if past leaders had done what he's now doing he would have consolidated on their achievements and moved forward. |

nduchucks: Too many slow folks dey for hia. We are talking about how to significantly reduce looting and abject corruption in Nigeria and dis one dey perform fuzzy arithmetic. abeg go siddon somewhere. The looting that had been going on in the civil service salary payment( for years now every month millions were looted; paid to few individuals) GEJ stopped it without much ado with IPPS. In the agricultural sector through e-wallet fertilizer/seed distribution, he stopped looting in that sector. He uncovered d looting that was perpetuated in d fuel subsidy payment. He's fought corruption more than any past government. Tell the Judiciary to do their work of convicting does charged if foungpd guilty;you don't expect him to interfere with the judiciary. |

Binb: What is the fuss about? Was the naira not stronger than the dollar before? That was when naira was newly introduced (born), it was arbitrarily fixed just as any nation would fix d exchange of its new currency. Its with time-economics of d nation, that the currency will gradually take its real value. Today naira has taken its value n until we diversify our economy from crude oil, anytime crude prices fall, naira falls- there's no going round it. |

nduchucks: Oga, if only 10% of the stolen and looted funds (conservatively $105billion/yr) by the usual thieves, remains in Nigeria, the economy will be just fine. Please stop saying what you don't know. The major source of foreign exchange funds to Nigeria is crude oil. We produce about 2.4 million barrels/day That translates approximately to 876 million barrels/year. At $50 /barrel, gives us 43,800 million dollars /year. (50x876m) Oil production companies take 43% of the oil revenue - 43% x43,800 m= $18,834 million taken by oil companies. Nigeria govt gets: 43,800m-18,834m = $24,966 million i.e $24.966 billion/year Now that's what runs the government; salaries etc Where did Nigeria get up to $105billion/year let alone stealing it? |
