Phones / Re: Buying Of Already Used Recharge Cards by bondingman: 7:08pm On Mar 12, 2019
mrkachi13:
I don't buy recharge cards anymore. I can't even remember the last time I did.

Buy from your bank via App or USSD. It's very simple and fast.

Sure, that's what I do: maybe reason I didn't know used recharge cards can be resold.
Met 3 people close to me who had d complaint and I had to intervene.
there're people who still buy cards and many I asked have complained of buying already used cards so I want to know if it's in AK state alone or it happens elsewhere cause I'm taking it up with the card distributor.

Phones / Buying Of Already Used Recharge Cards by bondingman: 2:14pm On Mar 12, 2019
There is this new trend ongoing where people buy recharge cards, scratch and on loading are replied that the recharge card has already been used by another user.
Many have lost their hard earned money because of this scheme as the recharge card sellers insist they can't refund any money since the buyer scratched the said card.
Is this happening elsewhere or only in Akwa-ibom state?
Reported on all network cards so far.
pls comment because I want to get to the bottom of this. Thank you.

Politics / Feb. 23 Elections May Not Hold, US, UK, EU, Alerted by bondingman: 2:08am On Feb 19, 2019
Feb. 23 Elections May Not Hold, US, UK, EU, Alerted, As INEC Headquarters May Be Bombed, Allegedly
Timi Frank, a former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Monday, raised an alarm over an alleged plot to “bomb the Headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in Abuja.”

Frank in a statement titled “Plot to bomb INEC Headquarters, in Abuja”, and published on Daily Post, claimed that the plot is aimed at destabilising the rescheduled 2019 general elections

In the statement, the former APC Deputy Spokesperson, claimed that the “deadly plan” is being orchestrated by those who are bent on destroying democracy in Nigeria, at all cost, even if it amounts to a total breakdown of law and order, or the loss of lives in achieving their agenda.

He said: “Top among the planners includes three serving Ministers from the Niger Delta, two former Governors, and three Businessmen, all within the ruling party, and benefiting from its largesse. Following the postponement of the February 16 polls, and realising that the plan for staggered elections may have been busted, these desperate political crooks are it again, devising yet another grand plan to carry out this evil plot against the Nigerian people.

“Nigerians may recall the mysterious arson on INEC facilities and building all around the country, happening simultaneously, days before the elections. Starting off with the burning of the INEC Office, in Quan-Pam, Plateau State, to the burning of Card Readers, in Anambra State, to the burning of INEC materials in 5 buses, at Akwa Ibom and other INEC facilities nationwide, it will be safe therefore, to note that these events are not a coincidence, but rather a grand plot to disenfranchise the opposition strongholds, which is currently underway.

“Having realised that the grand scheme of rigging the polls may have been busted by the INEC Chairman, giving to the postponement of the elections, these desperadoes are bent on doing everything possible in achieving their aim, including the truncating of our hard earned democracy, for selfish gains. We are also aware that the services of some Niger Delta Militants are being sorted after, in carrying out this dastardly act, even at a time when the region is being faced with its worst times, under the current administration. These Militants are being promised the backing of the Military authorities, as well as being rewarded handsomely, should they succeed in carrying out these attacks.

“I am therefore, urging all true sons of the Niger Delta, to desist forthwith from allowing themselves to be used by these agents of darkness, as no true son of the region will volunteer for such doom, irrespective of any pecuniary gains. I would like to thank our foreign partners (EU, UK, US, Ecowas Monitoring group), on the Electoral roles already carried out in Nigeria, and also urge the US, UK and the EU, to continue with its good works, and to further beam its satellite on Nigeria, in the wake of this grave revelation, at a time when the country prepares for its general elections. The desperation by these individuals for their paymasters, is as deadly as treason committed on the Nigerian nation. Furthermore, if this plot is true, then we may be faced with the likely scenario of the “body bags”, as suggested by a Chieftain of the ruling party, on all who may be present at the INEC Office, including the foreign Observers.”

Frank speaking further, urged the Security Agencies to beef up security and surveillance around the INEC Headquarters, and pleaded with the INEC Chairman to remain resolute to delivering his trust and mandate to the Nigerian people, on the 23rd of February. He said, “We are aware of the happenings in INEC, including the role to be played by Amina Zakari, who is now in charge of Collation and RACTEC unit, under the IT Department. Let it be known that any move to frustrate the wishes of Nigerians, will be resisted by all peace-loving Nigerians.”

Politics / New Minimum Wage: Reps Reject N27,000 Approved For Nigerian Workers by bondingman: 12:40pm On Jan 25, 2019
Members of the House of Representatives on Thursday faulted the Council of State for approving N27,000 as the new minimum wage when the agreement reached by the government, organised labour and the private sector was N30,000.

The lawmakers, therefore, expressed their readiness to adopt the N30,000 proposed by the tripartite committee, whose report was presented to President Muhammadu Buhari.

At the plenary on Thursday, the Speaker, Mr. Yakubu Dogara, had read a letter by President Buhari to the legislature, seeking an amendment to the Minimum Wage Act 1981, to reflect a new minimum wage of N27,000.

The President said the amount was proposed by the tripartite committee and ratified by the Council of State.

However, several members of the Green Chamber criticised the Council of State for its alleged unconstitutional approval of a wage for Nigerian workers.

The Deputy Chief Whip, Mr. Pally Iriase, called for the approval of N30,000 wage for workers.

He said in part, “The Nigerian worker earns too much less. Go to the market, because of the noise of N30,000, go and price the items today. But now, it is N27,000.

“This bill must be dealt with in accordance with what the tripartite committee came up with. Not even Mr. President himself could deny what the tripartite committee presented.”

While saying that “the revenue allocation formula is overdue for a review, the lawmaker charged his colleagues to “stand up for once” in defence of workers.

“Mr. Speaker, N30,000 will be what this House will pass. This House should pass N30,000 instead of this rigmarole,” Iriase stated.

Similarly, another lawmaker, Mr. Oluwole Oke, said, “I want to observe that no Nigerian worker earns a minimum wage. I’ve tried to compare the minimum wage here with other climes and arrived at an average of N900, assuming the worker works for eight hours. The N27,000 is grossly inadequate.”

Also, Mr. Chika Adamu, who noted that an increase in the minimum wage was a welcome development, said, “The N27,000 arrived at is grossly inadequate.”

According to him, the economic indices and the imminent rise in the prices of commodities as well as the move by the Federal Government to impose new taxes as part of its revenue drive, would not make a N27,000 wage realistic.

“This money is grossly inadequate. By the economic indices that we have on the ground, this money will have no value by the end of the year,” Adamu stated.
Politics / Adopt WHO Model To Resolve Heath Workers, Doctors Crisis by bondingman: 4:58pm On May 15, 2018
An Enugu-based activist, Mr Chris Chukwu, has urged the Presidency to adopt the World Health Organisation (WHO) model to resolve the age-long lingering rivalry and crisis between health workers and doctors.

Chukwu, an activist with the Young African Leaders Initiative Network, made the call in a statement issued in Enugu on Monday.

The title of the statement is: “Disharmony in Nigeria Health Industry: WHO style of Leadership should be Adopted to Restore Peace (Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General, a case study).

Chukwu noted that the Healthcare Delivery Team (HDT) comprises doctor, nurse, medical laboratory scientist, dentist, pharmacist, radiographer, orderlies etc.“

“The list is indeed endless every member of the HDT must discharge his or her duties altruistically with the patient in perspective.

“The WHO has severally painted a picture of what acceptable healthcare delivery should look like; it should be one comprising a healthcare delivery team with the patient at the centre.

“The patient is the reason all healthcare professionals exist, paid huge salaries and are respected in the society

“The UN agency have proven to be responsible for providing leadership on global health matters by electing the best, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus as the WHO Director-General.

Tedros was elected for a five-year term by WHO Member States at the 70th World Health Assembly in May 2017.

“He is the first WHO Director-General to have been elected from multiple candidates by the World Health Assembly, and is the first person from the WHO African Region to serve as WHO’s chief technical and administrative officer.

“By training, Tedros has qualifications in Biology (BSc.) from Asmara University (1986); Immunology of Infectious Diseases (MSc.) from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 2000; and Community Health from Nottingham University (PhD) in later years.

“Tedros had served as Ethiopia’s Minister of Health from 2005–2012, where he led a comprehensive reform of the country’s health system.

“He demonstrated what it takes to expand access to health care with limited resources,’’ he said.

According to him, by profession Tedros is not a medical doctor, that is to say that any member of the Healthcare Delivery Team (HDT) can head the health sector as Minister, Commissioner, CMD e.t.c.

Chukwu noted that a mono-professional headship of the poly-professional health sector remains the reason for “preferential treatment of one over many which have led to continuous fight and instability in health industry’’.

He said the Federal Government should follow WHO style (World standard) of leadership in the health sector; while appointing leaders who had the capacity and capability to represent the healthcare delivery team.

“A leader (or headship) with technical competence and managerial skills. A leader who is not bias and will place the patient as his priority,’’ he added.

Politics / Nigeria Will Collapse If Buhari Wins 2019 Election – Obasanjo by bondingman: 8:26am On Mar 17, 2018
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria, Chairman of Advisors of the Africa Initiative for Governance (AIG), after delivering a speech titled “Leader In African Context” at the Blavatnik School of Government, the University of Oxford, United kingdom, on Monday, said that Nigeria Will Collapse if Buhari wins in 2019 general elections. He said this in an interaction with international media in the UK.

The former Nigerian president has been most erratic in his political leaning and ideological belief. Dr. Obasanjo has become renown for sponsoring candidates in presidential elections after he vacated office in 2007 and turns back before the end the tenure to run down same president the supported in the election.

Obasanjo since his famous statement on February 23, 2018, where he made a clarion call on Nigerians to abandon both the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and embrace the emergent Coalition for Nigeria Movement, the Third Force, for generational change of leadership in 2019, has intensified his campaign against incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari both within and outside Nigeria, advocating change in leadership.

Obasanjo had in his statement advised Buhari not to seek re-election in 2019 bit retired to join the league of former presidents in the country. Thereafter, the former president tool his campaign to United States of America, now turning to the United Kingdom top strengthen his campaign against the incumbent president; the same thing he did top former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Former President Obasanjo has continued to list the failures of President Buhari and the reasons why he should forego 2019. He maintained that Nigeria will not remain a corporate country if Buhari wins the presidential election in 2019.

in d New Testament Jesus commended d Pharisees for tithing but told them they need to pay more attention to love etc. Matth 23:23, Luke 11:42.

After Jesus death n ressurection, Paul referenced tithing in Heb 7:5,6,9 and in verse 8 it even states that u r a witness that Jesus lives by tithing.
Politics / EU Okays Referendum For Biafra by bondingman: 6:18pm On Dec 08, 2017
The people of Biafra are not terrorist and they have every right to request for a referendum, The President of the European Union said.
The European Union (EU) yesterday, condemned and rejected the unilateral classification of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) as a terrorist organization by the Nigerian Armed Forces.
The Defence Headquarters of the Nigeria Army some weeks ago declared IPOB a terrorist organisation, claiming that its members had become violent and a security threat in the country.
But the EU’s condemnation followed reported video footages of the brutal and inhuman activities of the Nigerian Army in the South-East region of Nigeria.
The videos showed various scenes of the invasion of communities, torture and killings of IPOB members, which have gone viral since the Nigeria Army launched its Operation Python Dance II to clamp down on the group agitating for selfdetermination.

READ ALSO: Politics: Here's how the world reacted to the US' missile strike on Syria
President of the EU Commission, Mr. Jean-Claude Junker, who made the view of the Commission known, openly warned the Nigerian security personnel against what he described as their ill hearted and unprofessional handling of democratic issues and the rights of the people. Junker cautioned the Nigerian military chiefs that they must employ every democratic tenet to handle issues that concern the agitations of the citizens in Nigeria.
“It is the people’s right to agitate and make a request from their government; self-determination is a right enshrined in the United Nation Charter. The people of Biafra have every right to request for a referendum, they have been in this struggle for a while now they have never killed or shot a bullet instead they are the victims of attacks and murder.

“The entire EU hereby condemns the brutal attack on IPOB members and leadership under the pretentious disguise of a military exercise (Operation Python Dance). The Nigerian military is warned to adopt democratic tenets in handling citizens.
The EU will not sit and watch things go undemocratic in the largest economy of the West African region,” he warned.

Man u has qualified. UEFA Champions League uses head to head, and they have a better head to head against Basel so even if Basel wins their last match and man u losses to cska Moscow. Manu n cska qualifies. But cska can't better 4-1 to top d table

A draw will see us through because of head to head.

Get ur facts right, goal difference counts before head-to-head in this caf wcq.
