Politics › Re: Who Is Now The Party Leader In Delta State? (images) by BondRiv: 12:44pm On May 02, 2025 |
helinues: The state governor is the automatic party leader And that this why political parties are collapsing. No way this fellow who just defected, can now claim the leadership of the party, by the mere fact of being a governor. It makes no sense, but this is the nonsense practised in this country and has led it nowhere. Party leadership must be separated from the governor of a state. Just like Sim and Wike. So Sim is now the leader of PDP in the state? Who will respect him? We must leave party leadership to those with the capacity. Some times, a governor may possess this quality, but it shouldn't be automatic. When political parties have no ideologies, this is what happens. |

Politics › Re: How Wike And Tinubu Exposed North Vulnerability In Politics by BondRiv: 7:23pm On May 01, 2025 |
When it's 2031, a Northerner will occupy the seat. 2027 belongs to the South. Any Southerner is free to contest, but you will have to fight Tinubu to get it. Any Northern candidate will lose. |
Politics › Re: The Truth About Nigeria’s Presidential Rotations by BondRiv: 7:03pm On May 01, 2025 |
TonyeBarcanista: Your talk is pedestrian.
Why didn't 'Southerners' lose in 2011 when PDP suspended their rotational agreement to accommodate Jonathan on the basis on one term? Why did it happen in 2015 when Jonathan flouted the agreement which led to mass exodus from the party and sabotage? Every party is bound by their own internal arrangement.
APC never zoned to North in 2015, it was left open. APC only zoned to South In 2022 after they adopted North-South arrangement. Every party is responsible for marketing their choices.
PS: As at today, no political party has what it takes to unseat Tinubu in 2027 irrespective of who they field. I don't know of tomorrow but TODAY! Tinubu can be unseated by the right candidate in any of the opposition parties. Nothing is cast in stone. Although, the major opposition party is currently heading in the wrong direction with a desperado who won't give up the ticket. I have already told you a key determinant in this election. That something was accepted yesterday, doesn't mean it will be today. Especially, when you have smart politicians who know the game. No point over flogging the issue. This is politics. Those who know, do. |

TonyeBarcanista: Buhari ran against a Southerner to win. If yhe Southerner had won the story would have been different. APC North-South arrangement post-Buhari is solely APC affair. APC ticket in 2014 was never zoned to any region You are lost in the analysis of the past, while I'm speaking of present realities. Rotation was part of the reasons the Southerner also lost. Any party that fields a Northerner in 2027 will lose. I don't make useless analysis. Some of us understand what we comment on. APC will just be handed victory on a platter. |

Politics › Re: The Truth About Nigeria’s Presidential Rotations by BondRiv: 6:25pm On May 01, 2025 |
Power rotates in Nigeria between the North and South. The fact that at a particular point in time, some people were unable to retain what was theirs, for whatever reason, does not mean that others should acquiesce or relinquish their rights. In line with that rotation, Buhari did 8 years. It is now the turn of a Southerner to occupy it for 8 years, before it reverts to the North. Simple. |
