A pastor was beaten and humiliated in Okhokhugbo, Egor local government area of Edo state for allegedly sleeping with a married woman. According to reports, the pastor was said to have separated from his wife 3 months ago and allegedly moved into this lady's house because her husband stays abroad.

The woman was said to have gotten pregnant and was allegedly persuaded by the pastor to abort it. The woman reportedly died in the process of having the abortion.

Rumour has it that this is not the first time the lady has aborted baby for the pastor after getting pregnant.

The youths of Okhokhugbo community stormed the house where the pastor was and gave him the beating of his life.

In a trending video footage posted online, the pastor confessed that he had been sleeping with the married woman for years as he made some shocking revelations.

This is currently happening. The vice president of Nigeria community in China, Alhaji Mustafa, is about to be deported back to Nigeria now after two weeks of being detained in a prison...

In a video footage posted online, the Nigerian community executive can be seen arriving at the airport in Guangzhou area after being placed in handcuffs alongside another Nigerian man set to be deported.

They Nigerian men were escorted at the airport by fellow compatriots and Chinese officials to ensure they board the plane back to Nigeria.

The reason for their deportation was not given at press time.

There was pandemonium earlier today in Asaba, Delta state after an overhead water tank inside the newly renovated stadium collapsed and fell on some vehicles. It was gathered that the iron frame supporting the tank which supplies water to the swimming pool in the stadium - collapsed and wrecked some havock in the area.

According to reports, one died died in the unfortunate incident.

This happened days after the Stephen Keshi stadium was renovated and commissioned for the ongoing 21st Africa Senior Athletics Championship get to top gear. 

The Stephen Keshi Stadium, venue of the championship was fully equipped in order to host Africa.

The State Government, as part of preparation for the hosting, embarked on the construction and maintenance of some internal roads in Asaba to reduce traffic on the busy Nnembisi road. It also gave the State capital a facelift through the beautification of the city.

Over 21 persons have been reported dead after a boat mishap in Rabah Local Government Area of ​​Sokoto State. According to reports, the boat was conveying refugees who left their camp and was returning home before the unfortunate boat crash.

It was revealed that about 21 people have been confirmed dead while others seriously injured.

The corpses of the victims have been recovered and are set to be buried according to Islamic rites.

The National Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Wada plaza, Abuja, into the Complex, was agog this afternoon as the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki ‎made a triumphant entry into the complex.

Saraki arrived the complex at exactly 2.50 pm in long convoy and took him almost 20 minutes before he could make his way into the venue of the ongoing ‎meeting of the National Executive Committee, NEC, of the Party.

The meeting was put on hold for a while ‎as NEC members, as well as secretariat staff and other onlookers, went into wild jubilation, shouting SARAKI, PDP.

Also seated in the NEC Hall, venue of the meeting is the lawmaker representing Kogi East Senatorial District, Dino Melaye and until recently Nigeria’s Ambassador to South Africa, Ahmed Ibeto. Other party chieftains at the meeting include Cross River State governor, Professor Ben Ayande, former Special Duties Minister, Tanimu Turaki, former Jigawa state governor Sule Lamido and Senator Abdul Ningi. 

The Senate President finally dumped APC and returned to the PDP in his hometown, Ilorin, Kwara State on Tuesday.

It was earlier reported some days ago that a soldier, Francis Ifeanyi Franklin, was declared missing by his family after a Boko Haram ambush at his base in Borno state. His sister raised an alarm in a message she forwarded that the family has not been able reach him since the Boko ambush last week. His phone was also switched off.

According to fresh report, the gallant soldier has been confirmed dead.

The "SIGNAL" of his death has been transmitted to his younger sister who is his next of kin by the Nigerian Army. 

"The Signal have been sent, he is dead...Boko Haram has taken away the joy our mother ... The pillar of the family is gone.  we are left with nothing now but heart broken", his sister said..

A 34-year old man, James Nwogha, allegedly killed his 30-year old wife in Nkpor, Idemili North local government area of Anambra state. The suspect who hails from Ebonyi state, reportedly hit the deceased, Jennifer Nwogha with a pestle following a sharp disagreement that ensued between them

The Police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed, who also confirmed the incident, said the suspect has been arrested and detained.

“On 31/7/2018 at about 0012hrs, one James Nwogha male aged 34 years of NO.2 Umudioka Street Nkpor used mortar piston and hit his wife one Jennifer Nwogha female aged 30 years of the same address on the head during altercation that ensued between them, as a result of which she died instantly.

“Scene of crime was visited by police detectives attached to Ogidi division, corpse photographed and deposited at Iyienu Mortuary for autopsy after it was certified dead by a medical doctor.

“The mortar piston used in perpetrating the crime was recovered and Case is under investigation after which suspect would be charged to Court for prosecution,” he said.

At least five persons were attacked and killed by armed bandits at Rafiki village, off Rukuba Road in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State. It was gathered that the incident, which occurred, on Tuesday night, also left a passer-by, who was returning home, dead and his vehicle burnt.

The killing raised tension at the Rukubu Road area in the state capital, where movement of persons and vehicles were restricted for fear of the unknown.

The Public Relations Officer of the Plateau State Police Command, DSP Marthas Terna Tyopev, confirmed the incident and the said four of the corpses were deposited at Bingham University Teaching Hospital Jos and one at Specialists Hospital, Jos.

“It was at about 20:30hours on Tuesday the Command received an information that some people were attack at Gravity, a popular place at Rafiki village of Rukuba Road in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau state. “Immediately the information was received, the Command mobilized operatives to move to the area, on arrival we discover that four people lost their lives in the place on a hill.

“We also discovered in the scene of crime some exhibits, we discover some shells of AK47 ammunition, some wraps, empty containers of elicits drinks.

“As we down from the hill, we also discovered that another person also lost his live on the road, probably  may be he was coming back from somewhere and he was attack and killed in his vehicle.“The four corpses were recovered to Bingham University Teaching Hospital Jos, and the corps of the person that was attack later on have been deposited at Plateau Specialists Hospital Jos.

“As I speak with you, we have deployed our men there to make sure that the roads are not block and the area is peaceful and under control.“In all, five people lost their lives in the incident and we are looking at cult related issue, this is because the scene of the crime is a very difficult terrain for somebody to ordinary go there.”

A gallant Mopol, Badiru sikiru died some days ago while defending his fatherland in Borno state. The policeman was among victims killed by gunmen believed to be members of the extremist Boko Haram sect on Thursday night after they attacked Jakana, a town located about 50km from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

According to reports, the policeman was killed along with one other Mopol and three soldiers during the attack. 

The gunmen were said to be armed with heavy arms and ammunition and sustained their shooting for over an hour.

It was disclosed that the gunmen first attacked the military camp on the western flank of the town before advancing towards the town.

This is highly unusual. Some men celebrated their survival in an uncommon manner after being involved in a truck accident in Imo state. It was scooped that the heavy duty truck from Okigwe failed brake while in motion and landed very close to Efe River in Okigwe area of Imo state. 

Rather than become sorrowful following the crash, the driver, conductor and well wishers celebrated  at the accident scene with bottles of beer since no life was lost.

A woman, Mrs. Rose Obi from Ubulu Uku, Aniocha South local government area of Delta state - is set to be remanded in prison after assaulting a man. According to reports, the woman said she fought the man after he had slapped her and that's why she retaliated and attacked him and in the process, she bit his joystick.

The woman was arrested by the police and charged to court.

According to the woman's legal team, they met with the complainant to plead with him to have mercy on her and strike out the case from court after the woman was charged with attempted murder. They promised to take care of all his medical expenses.

The complainant refused and even rejected the idea of being compensated as he said he wants the woman to be imprisoned. Despite pleas from the court workers and lawyers, the complainant still refused.

According to reports, Today before 10:00am, the woman will be remanded in Agbor Female Prison.

A serving corp member deployed to Jos Plateau State, an indigene of Benue - was shot dead in Okpo Olamaboro local government area of Kogi State, early this morning 25th July, 2018.

According to police investigation, the deceased was ALLEGED to be among three armed men who robbed a Highlander Jeep and some money from a man whose identity is still unknown in Otukpo, Benue state.

According to the police, the robbers came to lodge in a hotel at Okpo when the security personnel swung into action. Two reportedly escaped through GSS into the bush as the alleged suspect was gunned down.

A video has emerged showing the moment a man was given a punch by a police officer as he was trying to remove the flag of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Benue governor, Samuel Ortom's official vehicle. This happened earlier today as Benue youths numbering over 300 stopped the governor from meeting APC members at National Executive Committee (NEC) in Abuja.

While the man was trying to remove the APC flag, a police officer was seen trying to stop him but he continued dragging the flag. This prompted the police officer to punch him as he wanted to descend on him but was restrained by his colleagues.

Ortom who defected today to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) - was schedule to meet the party leaders and discuss his grievances with the APC leader in Benue State, Senator George Akume.

The governor had claimed last week that he was given a red card by APC in Benue.

Base on the allegation, the party’s NEC invited Ortom and Akume to Abuja for reconciliation.

While Governor Ortom and his convoy were moving out of the Government House for Abuja, youths under the aegis of Collation of Benue Youths (CBY) led by Pastor Dave Ogbole blocked him with placards.

The youths also blocked the road leading to the Government House. The persistent protesters later removed the APC flag on the governor’s official vehicle.

A man has been arrested by police authorities after he was caught having sex with a goat.

The 32-year-old man is currently cooling his heels in police cell for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a goat in Ajumako Anyan Asiam District of the Central Region of Ghana.

According to reports the suspect was arrested by the youths of the area and subsequently handed over to the police.

It was gathered that the owner of the goat had tied the animal at his residence to feed before leaving for church.

On his return, he said he heard an unusual noise from where he had tied the animal so he approached the scene only to find Daniel on top of the goat with his trousers pulled down.

The complainant raised an alarm and the youths helped to arrest Daniel. He said the goat was seriously bleeding at the time it was brought to the police station as an exhibit.

The residents who caught the suspect in the act reported that there were blood stains in the cloths of the suspect.

In a video footage trending online, the suspect confessed to committing bestiality with the animal.
