The incessant killings of Yala indigenes in Cross River allegedly carried out by their neighbors, Izzi, of Ebonyi State, appears to be increasing following the gruesome killing of another man in the community as the villagers accused governor Ben Ayade of doing nothing to stop the longing crisis. Reports said the conflict was caused by land disputes.

The crisis had earlier deepened on Monday following an alleged gun attack on a Yala woman by suspected Izzi youths while she was on her way to the farm.

The injured woman, whose identity could not be verified, was said to be receiving treatment in an undisclosed medical facility in Yahe, one of the communities in Yala LGA.

It was also gathered that the attack on the farmer at Ukelle was said to have spread to other communities in Yala LGA...

Some residents in Kakuruk area of Plateau state, decided to worship in their church which was burnt down during the recent attack by suspected Fulani Herdsmen. The attack which happened last month in several villages in Barkin Ladi, Mangu and Riyom local government areas of Plateau State - saw over 120 people dead and over 200 others seriously injured.

Facebook user Henry Daniel Bago who attended the burnt church along with others - shared the below words.

At least two persons were killed in a fatal accident which occurred yesterday in Imo state. The accident which was reportedly caused by a speeding driver saw mulitple vehicles collide with each other before knocking down a motorcyclist who was carrying a lady along the Onitsha-Owerri highway in Mgbidi, Oru West local government area of the state.

The man and his passenger were killed on the spot while others were seriously injured. The wounded victims were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The multiple accidents caused a huge traffic gridlock in the area before the crashed vehicles were removed.

Many might be surprised why we say Neymar is the cause of Brazil exit from the FIFA World Cup, Russia 2018. There is a reason for that.

The Brazilian team was solely built on Neymar. They believe he is their Messi or Ronaldo, hence he should be treated like a king.

From Brazil opening group stage match, it was all clear that Neymar is just over respected. Playing from the left, 80% of Brazil play was always at Neymar's wing. No wonder Willian didn't have a good game in this world or didn't perform as he does in Chelsea. The Anambra State Police Command has declared Mr Ikechukwu Udensi, popularly known as Ikanda wanted in connection with the murder of a businessman, Mr late Ndubuisi Nwokolo.

The victim Nwokolo was on 29th June allegedly killed by Udensi, a known thug in Onitsha, alongside his gang members for attempting to stop him from extorting money from a commercial motorcyclists, who was conveying him (Nwokolo) to his shop.

A press release by the Anambra State police command, which was signed by its spokesperson, SP Haruna Mohammed, in which it declared Udensi wanted, called on anyone who knows the whereabouts of the suspected criminal to report to the police.

He disclosed that the Anambra State government had promised to reward anyone who gives useful information that leads to the arrest of the kingpin.

Part of the release read, “Suspect is a native of Azia in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State, dark in complexion, aged 27yrs old and about 1.73 meters tall.

“Anyone who provides useful information that would lead to his arrest will be Rewarded with One Million Naira (1,000,000) promised by the Anambra State Government. If seen, report to the nearest Police.”

According to reports making the rounds online, a pastor prayed over brooms in his church and allegedly sold them to his members. According to the social media user who posted the pictures, the pastor anointed and blessed the brooms which were given to the congregation to use and sweep away evil and demons from their homes, offices and shops.

The church members were visibly happy as they collected the "anointed" brooms.

A collapsed building at Yemetu area in Ibadan, Oyo state capital, left two persons with serious injuries after the unfortunate incident. According to Abiodun Adewole, the weakened and dilapidated 3-storey building collapsed not before the occupants had escaped but two were not so lucky to have been caught in the tragedy.

The two injured victims were rushed to the hospital and appear to be recuperating.

The authorities of the Lagos State Police Command, have received credible intelligence that members of some unlawful societies such as the Aiye, Eiye, , Buccaneers, etc, are going round town serving notices to rival cult gangs in the neighbourhood that they would be converging on Saturday 7/7/ 2018 at yet to be disclosed locations within their domains.

According to available information, the 7th day of the 7th month is sacred to these outlaws especially the Aye or confraternity which marks its anniversary. It is also a day they settle scores with rival cult groups and a day of outright brigandage and anomie.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Imohimi Edgal, warns that any such gathering by members of the unlawful society will be viewed as an unlawful assembly with the intent to commit felony. And those that gathered will be visited with the full weight of the law.

He reiterates that no cult group will be allowed to compromise the peace daily nurtured by men and women of goodwill in the state and maintained by the police.

He, therefore, urges members of the public to blow the whistle on these brigands anywhere they are found.

In the same vein, the CP urges parents to warn their children who are members of these nefarious associations not only to renounce cultism, but denounce it in all its ramifications.

There was a huge drama after a man refused to be arrested by officers of the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS yesterday afternoon at Eweka junction opposite Niger college road in Benin city, Edo state.

According to reports, the man was refused to be handcuffed and taken into custody violently after being accosted by the SARS operatives.

In a trending video footage posted online, the man can be seen struggled with the officers right there to the extent of sitting on the ground and screaming in order to register his his innocence and displeasure with the security agents.

The man's leg was also broken by a moving car in the course of the scuffle with the officers.

While, this was going on, residents of the area were seen carrying on with their activities before later gathering at the scene to come to his aid.

A surging flood has killed about ten people on Monday evening during a heavy downpour in Rafi Gora community and Angwar Nasarawa in Kontagora local government area of Niger State. Seven of the victims were girls between the ages of 16 to 18 years.

The Director General of the State Emergency Management Agency, Alhaji Ibrahim Inga who confirmed the incident said the Angwar Gora incident claimed seven lives, all girls adding that one other, Malama Harisa Musa is still missing as at the time of filing this report.

He explained that the victims were at a spot in the lowland where they hawk wares adding that during the downpour, the high current flood water swept them in its wake.

Among the victims of the incident include Hanifa Mansur, Fauziya Danlumu, Nana Bello Dankayi, Hadiza Auwali, Na’ima Usman, Rashida Sahabi and Khadija Salah while two victims of Angwar Nasarawa incident, Marayam Salihu and Yahaya Salihu were of the same parent.

He said that Yahaya Salihu age eight years had lost his slippers in the flood and his elder sister, Maryam, who was nearby tried recovering the slippers when the flood washed her away, in his attempt to rescue his sister, Yahaya also lost his life adding that the bodies of the two siblings have been recovered and interred.

Inga also said that seven bodies have been recovered from the Rafi Gora incident and have since been buried according to Islamic rites.

For the past six days, Ibrahim Egungbohun, a.k.a Dende, has been in the custody of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) headquarters in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), over his illegal deal of smuggling.

Dende, who is also the Chairman of IBD Hotels in Abeokuta and Ilaro, both in Ogun State, was, according to impeccable sources in Customs, was invited to the Federal Operations Unit (FOU) of the Service in Ikeja, Lagos, last week Wednesday.

The source added that Dende was, after interrogation at the FOU, moved to the headquarters of the Service.

As at the time of filing this story, he was still being held by the Service in Abuja.

Crimepuzzle's investigation revealed that Dende's arrest could not be unconnected with his smuggling activities in the southwest, which the presidency was not comfortable with, particularly as it runs foul of its policy on prohibited items.

Confirming the development to Crimepuzzle, the Customs Public Relations Officer (PRO), Deputy Controller of Customs (DC), Joseph Attah, in a telephone conversation on Monday, said "He is our suspect and currently in our custody over his smuggling activities".

Two members of a suspected armed robbery syndicate, who always operated with a toy gun - have been arrested by police operatives.

The suspects, Micheal Iheanachor, 34 and Jamiu Haruna, 38, of Alaba International Market, Ojo, Lagos and Kembiri Street, Okokomaiko, also in Lagos, respectively, were arrested yesterday, Monday, July 2, 2018 by detectives attached to Agbara Division in Ogun.

In a press release by the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, made available to Crimepuzzle, the suspects were nabbed while trying to dispossess one Ugochuckwu Umeh of his Honda Power Bike.

According to Oyeyemi, the hoodlums, numbering three, had besieged Umeh's Idanyini residence, Agbara, with the intent to cart away the said Power Bike marked GBE 717 GH.

But, while they were perfecting their intention, oblivious of a twist in the scenario that a distress call had been made to the police, the operatives, with the aid of local vigilante members, swooped on the hoodlums and successfully caught two of the suspects red handed.

The third gang member was said to have bolted, and evaded arrest.

The PPRO said: "Immediately the information was received, the DPO Agbara Division, SP Adegbite Omotayo, quickly mobilized his men to the scene where two out of the three hoodlums were arrested with the assistance of the local vigilantes"

Oyeyemi hinted that a toy gun, with which the hoodlums instilled fear into their victims before carrying out their operations, was recovered from them, adding that the state Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Iliyasu had ordered that the two suspects be transferred to FSARS for discreet investigation while serious manhunt should be launched for the fleeing member of the gang.
