I really don’t know. If you’re in a paid employment approach your employer. Or visit LIRS website.

I just read that the CBN has devalued the naira from 461 to 631naira to a dollar. That should translate to about 787 to 800 naira to a dollar.
This could spell doom fir those still processing form A and even me that my POF is till running at my estimated 600 naira to a pound.
The CBN haven't updated their website anyway and OANDA rate hasn't changed too anyway and I just pray status quo remains for the next few weeks.

My major concern is form A. It will definitely go high. I’m now tempted to convert my money back to pounds. The form A payment will become useless.

Hmm
If it was rejected it probably will start afresh ooo
I just hope it is not. Because it’s still showing my application date as January 25 and in ADB reviewer stage. I was only asked to attach TCC which they didn’t tell me prior to my application.

Make them get sense ooo.

Hi All,

Please who knows when UBA will likely debit for Form A for January 25th applicants? I applied since January 25 and it was rejected for me to attach TCC which I have done since last week.

I hope it won't start counting from the last day I made modification?

Any ideas please?

Thanks

Hi friends,

Please is it true that form A processing will be stopped by 31st of December?

Also if someone is yet to start an application, can the person do so even though it ends by then would the application be successful in the due course?

Thank you.

I never thought I could be glued to watching a Nollywood series like I did watching this.

Very interesting storyline with a lot of suspense.

I loved how they showed how the common man lives in Nigeria, and how the affluents live too.

Hoping the next season is out soon!

Should be 45k minimum.

Since sponsorship is priority, Take it but be on the look out for better offers(with sponsorship) and switch sponsors.
Thank you.

That's the plan.

IT security audit is boring but you might take it for sponsorship purpose and continue looking for company to sponsor you for cybersecurity role. They should however pay up to 50k for it to make sense.
Thanks bro.

I will talk to them and see how it goes.

It's the sponsorship that attracted me.

I'm not actually an auditor although I have done IT audit related activities and certifications. I'm into cybersecurity. But the company wants me for IT security audit and they stated it offers sponsorship

Err why not check glassdoor?
Done that sir. But I want to know if the remuneration is fair based on the sponsorship offer. But I intend to email them stating 40-45k

Although on Glassdoor the average salary for the role in same company is approximately 48k.

Elders, I'm back again.

Please I want to ask those familiar with IT Audit and Consulting roles. I have a company willing to offer sponsorship, although I told them I can switch to part time in my school.

I have about 7 years of experience in cybersecurity and the company willing to sponsor says remuneration is within 30-40k per annum for Assistant Manager role. They asked how much I'm willing to accept that I should make research and get back.

Please for this role, what's the remuneration like? Thank you.

While you can't work full time, during term time, on a student visa you can explore sponsorship opportunities with these recruiters. If they badly need your skills, they may offer you one.
Be careful though as being contacted by a recruiter does not mean you are close to being offered the job. Some recruiters are just out there to have a feel or the market.
Thank you Dustydee.

Please how do I go about telling the employer about this sponsorship route? I am being careful that's why I let them know I have work hour restriction so that they can explore the sponsorship option .

The good thing is that my class timetable is flexible and even the the days I have class, it mostly happen around 4pm.

Thank you for the feedback.

Being new to the UK isn't relevant here. You know what the rule is and it's written on your visa and BRP so you can't forget 'by mistake.'

You can't work full time. End of story.

Negotiate with those recruiters or find another job that allows you to work part time.

I doubt those recruiters know what they're doing even because the companies will certainly do right to work checks at the contract stage and they won't proceed.

But assuming they are pushing ahead regardless, you'd best not allow them 'use your head'. The recruiter wants to get commission ASAP and you're just a means to that. If they onboard you and you work full time, it's you who'll bear the brunt down the line.
Thank you.

I'll just let them know my current status states that I can only work 20 hours per week.

Dear Elders here,

Please I need your advice.

I recently came into the UK on postgraduate student visa. Last week I updated my LinkedIn profile to show my current location in the UK. I have received about 5 job opportunities from recruiters on LinkedIn. Same last week I told two of the recruiters that I'm a postgraduate student on tier 4 visa and I'm only permitted to work 20 hours per week on term time. But they said they needed someone who will do full-time. One even told me I should respond if I'm willing to do full-time but I'm yet to respond. I don't want to default on the visa terms.

This week I have three recruiters with very interesting job opportunities I'm yet to inform about my visa status because of the fear they will forget about the recruitment based on my visa status. One of the recruiters based in London told me about 99% remote work.

Please is there anything I could do to not default on my visa status while I work for any of these companies? I'm new in UK and I don't know how to handle this situation, so that I can grab this opportunity.

Please I need your advice and input.

Hello Bro.

How is your friend doing, I’m moving to North Ireland too in January same Ulster university - Magee campus.

How is the City?

Are they jobs, cause I need to hustle to pay my balance fees oo.

Also I need help with accommodation.
Ensure you have the 50% to complete your enrolment.

I don't know about Magee campus but in Belfast, there is challenge getting an apartment but people are still securing apartment while some are in private hostels. And there are part time jobs in Belfast.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 8 by boneruns(m): 9:25am On Oct 15, 2022
Quick and important advice:

If you're coming this January and you don't have anywhere to stay, start now to search for accomodation against the time you intend to come. If you're going to use Airbnb, start now to search against your arrival date, since it's cheaper booking ahead. At least two weeks while you search for an apartment when you have arrived. Don't wait, book now!!!

It's easier now to get study visa than getting an apartment in the UK. Also ensure you have money to complete your enrolment. Some schools require 50% tuition fees before enrolment . And most schools are strict with enrolment deposit. In my school, students who didn't meet up with the enrolment and have arrived UK have been sent email that they will reported to UKVI in few days if the enrolment isn't done in 5 days. You don't want to be running around to meet enrolment deadline, while you still chasing apartment and you're spending money in hotel/hostel/Airbnb without no temporary source income. PLEASE, plan very well.

Some people who came this September are begining to feel depressed because of apartment and school enrolment issues. Also getting a part time job isn't difficult, but only a settled mind would have that courage to apply for those part-time jobs.

Although settling in may be a challenge, but it will definitely make it will surely get better and make sense.

Like I advised previously, for families, it would be better for main applicant to come first to secure apartment while dependents come in later. Except they have a sure place to stay.

My post is not to discourage anyone but to let us know the outlook of things now in the UK.

Thank you and I wish us success.

Hi, all.
I just applied to Ulster university for May Intake, but I have issue with my d.o.b. On my waec I have 3rd of March instead of 2nd March, Same on my degree transcript. But 2nd of March is what I have on my international passport which is the valid one.

Please can there be any issue on this?
You already stated it's an issue.

Can you swear an affidavit?

Please if you're coming to the UK this time, ensure you make arrangement for accomodation while you're still in Nigeria so that you won't get stranded. This is very important. The earlier you book for an apartment, the cheaper.

Search on Airbnb, booking, and etc. Book early for two weeks minimum and come with money. Getting an accommodation now is very difficult.

If you're coming with your family, it would be better for one person to come first to secure an accommodation before other members of the family come.

Again, accomodation isn't a joke now.

Again, come with Pounds!!!
