Sensationalized journalism.

Lol. I would have gone but was not allowed to leave my workplace. But come to think of it, how wud they expect one to leave office two consecutive days in a week (impromptu) when they know u have an employment contract somewhere. All these trainee job things, you cannot know ur fate until u re confirmed.
I thought your younger brother was the one invited as you stated? Did you intend to impersonate him?

MightyMuna:
From the convoluted recruitment process to the tortuous waiting time to the ridiculous and inconsiderate training location, in addition to the meager(my opinion) initial salary have all dissuaded me from the job.
I won't be attending the training, I wish you guys all the best.
Hello Muna,

If your main reason is the training location, call DB HCM that you can't secure accomodation in that location. I might be rescheduled for Lag TS. I'm sure something may be worked out to favour you, just that it might take a little while depending on when Lag TS will be opened for new entry level.

Don't be discouraged about that 80k training allowance because you'll be paid 500 naira daily transport allowance, during TS and branch attachment, which will be paid at the month end. You will also be properly fed.

DB is a nice place to work.
CrimeRe: Popular Prostitute Stabbed To Death At A Car Park In Lagos by boneruns(m): 8:23am On Jan 21, 2015
OP you can lie. The deceased was not a prostitute, neither was she stabbed. I saw her corpse, my office is adjacent to the scene, looking through the the window of my office I saw her corpse even when the Police came to pick up her carcass at noon. There was no pool of blood at the scene.

She was popular along that area, she used to sleep on the street with her two little kids. She didn't look like a prostitute, I'm guessing she beg to sustain her kids. One of her kid was still missing as at Monday morning. Her little son didn't even know what was happening because she just sat on the ground confused.

I noticed something that day: one of the people that carried her corpse with gloves, removed her glove and dropped on the floor without properly disposing it. I was so pissed seeing such. God help us

Bro, I've always respected how you defend Igbos in your arguments. But since yesterday, you've had a different argument entirely.

I don't even know the LGAs that constitute Ngwaland, before you start tagging me "Ngwaphobia". I only queried your previous opinions and why having a change over the set of people you've always detested.

I'm deeply surprised at your recent argument.

One man, one vote.

Dr Okezie Ikpeazu wins
Bro, I thought you disgust PDP with everything in this world? You were the same person who said PDP has held down leadership is Igboland in ransome, and you've always accused them of rigging all elections in SE, while citing Imo State as a case study! Why are you now having in U-turn for what disgusts you?

you are bereft of knowledge bro. i am a lagosian and i am happy with the develoment. after abuja, a situable location for an event of this kind is lagos. you can see a coherent message from the state govt informing its residence ahead of the event and telling them how to route it quickly to their various destinations. were it to be our otuoke man, he would have ordered a blockade four days before is arrival, not minding the commutings of the citizens.
You probably live somewhere in Badagry or Ikorodu, that's why you can say such. If you're among people that commute between Mainland and Island daily, you would have felt the pain this traffic has caused so far, and how crazy it would be in the coming days

The same people that want us to vote for them are those making life miserable for the common man. Traffic situations is Lagos have been all time bad since last week.

Must the primary be held in Lagos? Why didn't they choose Ogun/Oyo states?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NNPC Aptitude Test On December 6, 2014 by boneruns(m): 10:06am On Nov 27, 2014
lawisong:
Congratulations! if you are among the few
shortlisted for the NNPC test. A lot of persons
may not remember when they even applied for the
job but to their surprise they got a text message
telling them they've been shortlisted for the
aptitude test. The fact is that, NNPC have all the
online data of their applicants stored as softcopy
cv in their database and most times rather than
calling for fresh applications, they fall back to
their database to contact those whose
qualification suffice with what they need at that
time. This is a top insider information but that is
not the reason for this thread anyway. The reason
for this thread is to enable all shortlisted persons
adequately prepare for the test coming up in a few
days from now. Also, from inside information
reaching me, there are many persons writing this
test and so many criteria will be applied to choose
the successful ones, not just the top scorers. So
this time, it will be a game of wits and ideas. So a
good knowledge of the company current
recruitment secrets will greatly stand you out
from the multitude. You will also be asked to fill
some forms and the answer you fill in the forms
will either set you at advantage or disadvantage.
So how do you go about all these. All these are in
their recent recruitment process. It will shock so
many that feel they've written it before and know
what to do. There are slight modifications in the
test and only those armed with this information
will be at an advantage.
Having said all these, to help interested serious
persons who are willing to pass this test and
proceed to all other stages successful, i have
compiled every vital recruitment information you
need to know from an insider, i also included all
the past questions which they will likely repeat,
past questions on General Engineering, General
Science, Information Technology, even Medical test
and recruitment assessment questions, all these in
one bomber ebook. I swear, if you can assimilate
80% of this ebook before the test, you will be
looking for me to thank after everything.
Testimonies abound of friends that practiced with
these past questions and succeeded in previous
NNPC Tests.
I normally sell this ebook for N5,000 but many
candidates from other sites complained that the
price is high, so I've decided to give out this ebook
to only 50 serious and interested persons at
N3,000, after which I will go back to the formal
price of N5,000. This is not the only site I’m
selling this book, the book in on naijahotjobs, and 8
other job sites with so many people getting their
copy even as I type this post now. So don’t insult
me if you don’t need it. You really don’t know who
I am, because if you know, you’ll give anything to
get your own copy too. Only those that believe me
should purchase and see for themselves. The
earlier you get your copy, the sooner you start
your preparation.
Interested persons pay a token of N3,000 to
GTBANK,
Account Name: Isong Daniel L.
Account No.: 0116783991
Please after payment , send a text to
08098260295 indicating your name and email
address . Once your payment is confirmed, I’ll
send the ebook to your email.
Please don’t purchase and keep, read the
informations, practice with the past questions and
understand the question structure, thats what will
guarantee your success. See you at the top!
Your case has been reported. Expect an arrest soon.

This man is a quintessential Economist and a Banker. He revolutionized Diamond Bank in short period of time.

I have no doubt he will succeed if given the mandate to rescue Abia state.

He is leaving the Bank amidst standing ovation. A very humble man that went round the whole HO locations, desk to desk, giving his farewell handshakes to each and every staff.

The Bank would miss Otti, and is confident that Uzoma Dozie will take the bank to its journey.

All the best Sir!

I've been a silent follower of this thread and I must confess I always feel nostalgic each time I see lovely pictures of Owerri. The pictures make me feel like taking the next flight to my village.

The last time I was in Owerri was in 2009, and the environment was quite impressive as at time. I felt like I was in a highbrow area in Lagos.

But I don't know why I've not seen pictures of my hometown, Ikeduru, of all the pictures posted here. I don't know how true, but I learnt Rochas is starving Ikeduru of development.

Above all, the development across all sector is quite impressive. I can't wait to visit my state this December and post pictures on this thread.

I won't mind seeing some lovely pictures of Ikeduru. God bless us all.

This is the first time in my entire life to read a topic from 0 -17th page on Nairaland.

Anyway, thanks to the Op and other contributors. I learnt.

Is any one looking at the Pension Industry?

What do PFAs (Pension Fund Administrators) offer their entry level and experienced level?

Thank you.
I don't think PFAs offer much compared to their counterparts in Bank, Insurance, Investment Banking.

In a training I attended with some employees of PFA, I learnt they don't really make much profit since they don't do much business with the money in their custody, because that's the last resort for PF contributors, and as such, it is risky using such money for other profit generating ventures, for fear of loss.

I stand to be corrected though.

I beg to disagree. If you have seen any offer letter with 13th month in it, it is termed salary and it is equivalent of one month's pay.
Well, I guess it is different across organizations. Because, I've not received a 13th month pay which is equivalent to my one month full pay.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Entry Level Salaries Of Companies In Nigeria by boneruns(m): 6:18pm On Oct 08, 2014
Point of correction to those saying "13th month salary"- It is not actually a "salary" but a bonus.

Therefore, don't expect your December salary to be paid twice.
