Big4wig: Thanks but that thread is old and i people have stopped replying.i want to know the current salary scale for banks and their various welfare packageOkay. Diamond is the highest paying, I can't tell you the figures. I reliably learnt UBA reviewed their salary, which I presume is higher than Diamond. But it isn't about the money. Seriously, the best is starting career and growing in consultancy firms like PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, EY, Accenture and etc. most younger people will only realize this after some years. |
I once thought this election was for just anambraians alone, I never thought other other SEastern states, and those who don't have know internet knowledge are interested in the outcome. I thought the election starts and ends here on nairaland. My brothers and relatives have been discussing about the outcome of this election. May the best winner win. Amen Though I'm not for Anambra; I'm from Imo; but God bless Anambra, God bless Nigeria. It is all for the better. |
This is a very bad report coming from a supposed regulator and promoter of our economy and financial system. What then is the job of CBN if they can't make all our banks healthy? What happened to AMCON bail-out funds, injected into the failed banks? The report seem to be a politically motivated. On what metrics would Skye Bank, that relies so much on LASG funds and deals be classified as "too big to fail"? What then happens when there's a change in Govt., or the deals from LASG stops coming? Where is Union Bank today, one of the pioneers in banking? So many bigger banks have failed before! This report was probably done by an armchair CBN analyst! What a crap! |
Armchair researchers. If they know the amount of people still consuming tap water, they wouldn't put up result such as this. NAFDAC is only trying to save their ineptitude. Weak institution. |

I thought APC are coming with some fresh sets of change and ideologies? |
LEADER of opposition political parties and former Governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, has said that Nigerians should not see the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the party that would transform the nation’s economy even if it succeeds in defeating the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2015 presidential polls. According to Musa, there is no ideological difference between the APC and PDP that would permit radical changes to be effected in the nation’s economy, which would also lead to the transformation of Nigeria. He pointed out that both political parties shared the same capitalist orientation and principles. Musa, who spoke with The Guardian in an Interview, said though the chances of APC in the 2015 general elections “is still being examined by the critical forces in Nigeria, the party has a chance but they should not just assume that the chance is bright because of the crisis and bankruptcy of the PDP, they have to make sure that they are more reliable and more relevant than the PDP.” The former governor who is also the leader of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), said that “the PRP is not a member of APC and would not be a member for ideological reasons”, while stressing that “the most clear ideological reason is this, the APC, like the PDP, believes in the leading role of private enterprise in the economy, while the PRP believes in the leading role of the state in the economy to ensure peace, equality, dignity of the human person and progressive even development of the whole country.” Musa continued: “This is a fundamental distinction. The PRP cannot join the APC without betraying its course. We agreed that there is need to defeat the PDP in order to make progress in Nigeria. But that need alone does not justify our surrender of our fundamental position. “We will eventually, when we establish our separate identity as a political party. And you know that the PRP has a problem. First, we have been deregistered, even though the court has now declared the deregistration as null and void. But, we are still facing a problem. “Secondly, we have been prized out in the competitive politics, but we are determined to remain and we will remain as we have been doing that for the last 63 years. PRP is now 63 years, having been established in 1950 as the NEPU. The party is now the oldest in the country. ” www.ngrguardiannews.com/national-news/134836-no-ideological-difference-between-apc-pdp-says-balarabe-musa- |

superstar1: Omo ibo claiming yoruba. We know your type. So in your sojourn and wandering all over Nigeria, you have never been to Aba and Onitsha and mention the dirty parts of Ibadan. They are always wandering around the whole country like mad man and womanYou see, that's the problem I have with some of you! Anyone who says something contrary to your belief becomes "ibo". Even if it is said by your kinsman. |
yashau: Ha ha ha, oga jona in hot soup!Boko Haram sympathizer! Why not condemn BH instead wishing bad against the President and Nigeria?! |
payless: Pathetic Ibo boyWhy do you feel anyone who opposes you is an Igbo boy? You hardly make comment without including "Ibo" into it. |

This is really a sad event. Nigerians keep giving Nigeria a bad name overseas. 10 years in jail! So pathetic! |
INDIAN authorities have arrested a Nigerian, Abdul Raheem Kamalideen Kehinde, with 190 grammes of cocaine estimated to be worth N50 million. “Police confirmed that the Crime branch of Delhi Police received a tip-off that he would deliver a consignment of cocaine to ITBP School, Sector 16-B, Dwarka, New Delhi. The police moved to apprehend Kehinde and also seized 190 grammes of cocaine from him, ” The Times of India said. The Commissioner of Police, Ravindra Yadav, said: “The seized contraband is worth Rs two crore (N50 million) in the international market. It is one of the biggest hauls of cocaine in recent times.” Following an interrogation, police were able to obtain more information about Kehinde, who had originally moved to India in May 2010, on a business visa in order to start a garment business. He was living in west Delhi’s Hari Nagar area and has been involved in drug trafficking since 2011. “He was arrested in a case of cheating but got bail in the case in April 2011 and his passport was deposited in the concerned court,” Yadav said. “Soon after coming out of jail, Kehinde met Kayode, a fellow Nigerian, and both of them started drug trafficking. He used to get commission on every delivery,” Yadav added. Police have registered a case under Section 21 of the Indian Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act against Kehinde who could face up to 10 years in prison. www.ngrguardiannews.com/news-metro/131705-nigerian-caught-with-190-grammes-of-cocaine-in-india- |

From the look of things, I think the battle is about GEJ and not really PDP. The "progressives" hate GEJ and not PDP. |
ehizo25: Thank you very much. Any idea about the work life balance or work schedule or work conditions, etc?I don't work there. I only went there for interview in 2011. The place seemed to be a nice place to be, with good people. And the firm is really growing. You will be briefed on what to expect from the job as par salary/allowance, training/certifiactions before the interview starts, so that you can male decisions. I'm guessiing their salary would have increased by now. |
As at 2011, the pay was 45k for first one year of your internship, and 90k for the second year. You'll have to refund them the salary you've been paid until the time of resignation if you want to leave them during the period of internship. After two years, you can negotiate employment opportunities with them. I don't know if they retrieve their training certificates if you want to leave them. Above all, it is a good place to learn and build career in IT. If you can endure the salary for two years, it will help you a lot. You will be trained and be exposed. |
