Look up "WES advisor" on Facebook and leave them a message. You can include your full name and ref. Number in your message. That's what I did anyway. DaddyNimo: |
Congrats to @Elfman and others who received ITA today! |

Yes. April 30 to be precise. That was when the idea to move to Canada started really. Getting my transcript from UI took sometime.. 2 months give or take. I didn't start the transcript process immediately tho. Had to take sometime to understand the neccessary steps and the many Acronyms used here the early WES application was just to commit myself so i do not procatinateElfmannisback: |
If she's a member here, she can ask me her questions here. That would work for me adosjun: |
This WES people ehn... I applied for results verification April 2018. WES received my docs Aug 3, 2018. Last week I got an update on my profile that my results had been sent to my school for verification. 2 days afterwards, i checked my profile and boom!, i saw WAEC had been added as required doc. I looked for their Facebook handle immediately and asked why WAEC was suddenly added especially as my application was submitted before the law which was introduced Aug 3. I received a reply from WES that "my concern would be escalsted". Logged in few minutes ago and voila! The WAEC requirement had disappeared. |

Great initiative @etrange. I am currently studying French although my initial plan was not to write TEF. From the look of things, i may need to do so to boost my CRS score. Am at B1 level. I haven't registered for TEF yet. Am still exploring before committing to letting go of 100k...I need to be sure am good enough to get a good score. |
Thanks...Am a babe though ![]() Homguy: |

Just viewed my IELTS result with BC on August 2, mainland Lagos. LRWS : 8.0, 9.0, 7.0, 8.0 1st attempt. Am so excited! |
You are right. I flew at 35wks and 3 days on Emirates sept 2017. No issues. Juat had a fit to fly from my doc. The 28week thingy I believe is for women carrying multiples. Fyorgyn: |
Congrats to all those who recently received ITA and PPR. |
I used Holmes Regional Medical Centre, Melbourne Fl. For their charges...its in my last 3 posts i think. I must say its pricey compared to other popular states here. Waiting to get all my bills before posting a summary to aid others who plan to use Melbourne in future. Reine22: |
Yes she had her own seat as she was 3+ years. Emirates gives lots of toys but she only used the coloured pencils and activity book outsidr the plane. Lol! She was very cooperative though and slept most of the flight. When she wasnt sleeping she was either watching boss baby on Emirates ICE or interrogating the man on the seat next to hers . In all she was pretty occupied all thru the flightgoobyparks: |
I dont know if this is still relevant but i didnt submit my fit to fly at their office. I had it with me at the airport and was asked for it at check in. The air hostesses also asked to see it when i boarded the aircraft. Sorry but i just saw your message hence the late reply Lanifat84: |
Sorry, just seeing this. My hospital is in Melbourne Fl and not Orlando...though their prices are pretty much same. So far Hospital alone for CS is 7011USD. Doctors fee is 2005USD. Paeditrician...1st visit is 80usd, subsequent follow up is 40usd (if the baby is aick then its 60usd). Hearing test was 326usd, i asked if theres a discount and paid 244usd... From what i have observed so far Melbourne and certain places in Florida are not used to birth tourism so you may not get an organised birth package like hospitals in Houston...am still observing tho. Well, my very recent experience in Melbourne Fl...no agency will do the passport processing without the SSN. I had to go to the main passport office in Miami...to even qualify for expedited in Miami you must meet certain criteria: 1. You are travelling within 2 weeks 2. You require a visa to travel within 4 weeks 3. You MUST present proof of travel for infant I was travelling in 3 weeks but then needed a visa...went to Miami and got it same day after a few hours of wait. Had my baby Oct 17 and i still havent gotten his SSN. drI: |
If travelling at 34weeks i dont think you need the MEDIF form. The medical certificate will do. Or as in my case, get a fit to fly with the neccessary information as seen on Emirates website Lanifat84: |
So in the spirit of giving back... Scheduled time for Emirates flight...5:50pm Time i arrived at MMIA...3:30pm (i dont know the devil that put one kain traffic jam on the road) Date of flight...sept. 12 Number of travellers...myself and active toddler Flew at 34 weeks and 2days Was asked for fit to fly before checkin...showed the emirates lady who then made a copy for me. Had one check in box. Picked up my hotel voucher as i had a 22hr layover in dubai. Got on the plane and was asked for my fit to fly which i gave them. I looked a lot bigger than 34 weeks though. The flight was smooth as expected with goodies for my kid. Arrived dubai at 4am ish. Asked where to get the hotel shuttle and was directed. Got to the hotel and checked in. It was time for breakfast by then so i simply showed my boarding pass and went to eat at the restaurant. Went up to my room took a nice long bath and rested with my toddler. Had lunch and dinner same way and then checked out by 11pm. Hotel shuttle dropped us at the airport. Boarded my flight and landed Orlando international on Thursday 14th at 10am. It wasnt easy considering my big tummy but i survived.lol. POE Experience I was among the first to alight the plane so i was like the 4th in line. Ours was tge only flight. Only one other Nigerian family on the flight. I noticed the CBP officers were all smiles and joking with others...my turn Me: good morning (with smiles)and hands over over passport to him Him :good morning(with a smile) Him : what brings you to the US today Me: am here to have my baby Him: youre pregnant? (Seems the smile reduced a bit or maybe i imagined it) Me: yes i am Him: how long will you be here for? Me:10weeks Him: how much to do you have on you? Me: 960 dollars and the rest on my card (it was after i spoke i realised i didnt say how much was on the card) Him:do you have any food items ( asking while looing at my landing card) Me: yes. Just Dried fish Him: place your 4 fingers and your thumb.( I do that) follow me and i'll take you to whom you will speak with. ( thats secondary inspection ) I get there and there's just one white man there. I sit and my toddler is busy talking and playing for Africa. The officer there is a woman Woman:how long are you here for? Me: 10 weeks ( am still sitting where i am as i answer) then i later go close to her Her: when are you due Me: october xx Her: do you have a doctor? Me: yes Her: any documents to back it up? Me : yes . I askes if she wants to see it and she responds in the affirmative. I hand it to her then go back to sit. (Envelope contents: fit to fly, letter from doctor, cost estimate from hospital, budget sheet, BoA account statement, hospital registration, email correspondence with doctors office) I sit for some minutes then she calls me to follow her. Says i should pick my bag and head to agric that my passport will be there and i can head out from there. Did that. Bag passed thru scanner...no need to open and inspect. Called my host and went home. ...so now we have a sample of orlando Sorry for the long post |
Finally made my trip to Orlando...POE story will come later. |
Hmmm...hurricane Irma set to hit Florida this weekend and am set to be in Florida next week...scary |
Hello everyone. Does anyone have any experience with Orlando POE? For childbirth purposes of course. |
Congrats on your visa approval. Am amazed to hear 'a little over 4000USD ' in Florida!!!. Do you mind sharing what part of Florida? Cos for hospital alone i have quotes of 5000USD. zulee: |
