still away from home,i caught the arsenal liverpool game live on mbc3 via canal sport. i suppose they now have an agreement that gave them the right to screen that match cos premierleague tv rights has always been a major issue 4 tv outfits. either way,it is welcomed. George,olason, i greet u all

i dont think u should stil be asking that question. it is almost a recurrent issue on this thread-tracking tps - since you have access to the internet,just go to the normal lyngsat & you get wat u want.

george suggested a few days back that d global beam(d 3927 cband tp) might be recievable here in nigeria with a 1.8m &above. unfortunately,no one has come out yet to let us know their findings but i av to say it is near impossible to get track that tp with a 1.0m dish.get a 1.8m & track.& remember it is an mpeg4 transmission

my own experience has shown dat the downlink frequency for some stations are easily amplified by d lnb & they hit green even at below 40percent.take for example,intelsat7/10c( channel10,pulse,itv). these stations usually hit green btw 30-35% while the funniest is intelsat903( ortm mali,ortb b/faso) which hit green at around 26-30%. on the other hand,tps like tv africa,viasat,tv3 may not green once even at 70% until u keep trying(either by autoscanning,blindscanning,or changing the last digit of either d freq or symbol rate) b4 it hit green.& of course many signals ar reciever-dependent.

@all i av been following the new development on w2a/w4/w7 on this thread but my being away frm my home 4 some weeks now has preventd me frm practicalising on my 1.8m motorisd dish. so in additn to what george said- members who have either 90cm-1.8m-mpeg2-mpeg4 shud get on the field tracking d new birds & let us know their findings as well as their challenges. Ground work is d real deal

for you to be able to appreciate what fta means this days,you need to go &ask people who only pay installers 4 small dishes(60,90),subscribe & continue 2 be at d mercy of their providers.there ar many dat will be shockd at d sight of a motorised dish when all they av used in their life is a fixed small dish where they can only use d remote for changing channels. take a look at it urself: the space of land to install massive dishes,the cost of the dish itself,cost of changing lnbs,scaler rings,the actuator &other things that comes up when tracking both footprint &non-footprint signals. I bet to say all these commitments arn't for below 100k salary earners wit family stil to fend for. The import of all these is that fta no longer means 'free &sub-standard'view ,it is now the REAL HYPER-TECH SAT.WORLD full of innovations. BUTONEDAY,DEJSAM,GEORGE,BADARU,OLOFOFO &ALL, see u all when the petty paytv providers start sprawling on the floor seeking what they don't know!!!

remember d relaxation centre networkin i mentioned weeks ago. the installation is done & dusted. i've to say d multichoice decoder is a very frustratin,rigid & old fashioned box.i trackd wit strong decoder & then connectd d dstv box. i had challenges using d box but thanks 2 enitan,who i was on d phone wit,i was able 2 fix d proble.THANKS 2 all of u who postd their inputs towards networking. I av got two more installatns dis weekend.let us continue making dis world simpler dan it is!!

you don't have to b confusd. the direct answer 2 ur query is NO. nailing ew3a doesn't guarantee sirius 4 tps coming up.To d other query.frm personal experience,i can tell u wil av to be EW3A-BIASED if u which to strike d two birds 2gether.wat i mean is dat most tps on sirius ar stronger dan d ew3a's.so use d globecast tp 2 track sirius 2 d max.signal.then note dat positn & input d mbc tp & gently move d dish 2 d right(standing at d back of d dish),elevation remaining d same.note closely d point where mbc hits 50%,then scroll back 2 d globecast tp & make sure itsn't cracking. continue 2 adjust until u ar sure mbc,malagazy(ew3a),f2v,globecast(sirius4)arn't cracking.be warnd dat tv miramar & some other tps may be cracking on ew3a but that is d compromise u av 2 make if u want 2 watch both birds at once.

its really a great news frm crtv.let us all hope they won't go d way of multitv,f2v & muvitv by selling their own decoders,but their isn't anything frm their adverts & website to suggest they ar planning such a thing. lets keep our fingers working(not crossd)

i removed a zain sim(working perfectly) frm my sönyericssn w200i &put an mtn line inside.by d time i returnd d sim,d phone didnt see d zain network anymore.it just kept writing 'emergency call only' while d sim workd fine on oda fones,no zain line workd on my phone.pls i need help on unblocking without flashing.
