In the video that was shared on Instagram by @instablog9ja, Vice-Chancellor Smaranda Olarinde could be seen speaking to the students who were undergoing punishment.

Nigerians on social media soon flooded the comment section of the post to share their thoughts on the video. Many described the university as a glorified secondary school.

A video of a boy crying uncontrollably after his girlfriend broke up with him, has gone viral after being shared online, Siggy reveals.

A voice was heard in the background, confirming that the young man's heart got broken and also saying that "the girl did a bad thing" as he sobbed.

I remember when I passed out, I was scared that the next month, I won't get paid.


I stayed in Kano till I exhausted the 2 months allawee NYSC gave us when passing out.


It is a miracle how I continued to feed and moved around till I got a private school teaching job.


The thought that allawee will stop coming is somehow scary to some newly passed out corp members.


But the good thing is that she has gone a step forward in life.


She was once a student,then she became a corp member and now she is out into the real world.

That is a step, although it looks frightening to realize that you will no longer be getting paid by NYSC.


But God will provide her with something better.

The corper identified as Sandra is seen in the video crying as she says will miss the monthly allowee being paid by the scheme and she doesn't want to pass out.

The Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has been seen in a viral video eating banana with pupils of Alagbaka Estate Primary School in Akure, Ondo state, Siggy discloses.

Osinbajo was in the state for a two-day visit for the launch of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) clinic.

He reportedly taught the pupils and also partook in meals with the students alongside Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State.

Before sharing a meal with the pupils, he joined the English class of the school’s Pry 3B class and read a comprehension passage to them.

He noted that teaching was something he enjoys as a former university lecturer.

A Prospective Corp member (PCM), Jennifer Awashima has been reportedly kidnapped on her way to Dakingari orientation camp, for the 2021 Batch C Stream 1 orientation programme in Kebbi state, Siggy discloses.

According to a Facebook user, Suam Nenger who shared the story on the social media platform, the incident happened on Wednesday, October 20, around the Zamfara axis.

The driver of the vehicle and some others were said to have managed to escape, while Jennifer was kidnapped alongside other passengers.

Ogume grammar school, Ogume, Delta State has reportedly been shut down by the state government following a cultist clash within the school premises which left a female student dead and properties worth millions of naira destroyed.

A female student of the school was killed while properties worth millions of naira were destroyed when the hoodlums invaded the school with all kinds of weapons last week.

It was gathered that the hoodlums also assaulted the principal before she was rushed to the general hospital, Kwale for treatment.

The school’s ICT centre, principal’s office, her car and the administrative office amongst others were burnt down by the rampaging cultists.

The State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs Rose Ezewu, announced the closure of the school on Wednesday, October 20, in Asaba during a meeting held with the leaders of Ogume community.

Mrs Ezewu said that the decision of the state government to close the school was in the best interest of the community and the state in general as it was designed to guarantee the safety of teachers and students of the school.

Exactly three years ago (2018), the University of Benin (UNIBEN) experienced a dramatic event when a group of cult guys stormed an event holding in the school to beat up a member of a rival gang, Siggy discloses.

It was final year week in the institution and the Faculty of Arts were having their jean carnival party at the popular twin LT car park, Social sciences.

Party was going on smoothly until the cultists stormed the place causing people to scramble to safety for their lives and properties. No life was recorded lost.

Sadly, the same incident occured in the same place, same event, the following year (2019) leading to the death of one of a prominent person in the school named Aficionado.

The school management of the Federal University Lafia (FULAFIA) has stressed that no one of its students were kidnapped as against news reports on Friday, Siggy reveals.

This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Abubakar Ibrahim, Head, Information and Public Relations of the institution and made available to newsmen on Tuesday, in Lafia.

According to the spokesperson, to put the record straight, “none of our students was involved in the recent abduction at Mararraban Akunza community near the take-off site campus of the university.

“During the unfortunate event, some people were abducted by unknown gunmen, after gunshots were fired in the air to disperse people.

“I am happy that the police had been able to secure the release of the kidnapped victims and none is our student,” the PRO added.

Ibrahim appealed to journalists to desist from the habit of rushing to publish, just because they want to be the first to break the news.

“Journalists should always balance their reports and make sure their published stories are correct even if it means delaying to maintain their credibility and integrity,” he added.

The management of FULafia in the statement also assured parents that they had put adequate security measures in place to protect students in their two campuses, including those staying in the hostels.

They appealed to inhabitants of villages neighbouring the institution to always notify law enforcement agencies about any criminal activities for prompt action.

Meanwhile, the Police Command in Nasarawa State says it has rescued the two victims abducted in the community close to the institution on Oct. 15.

ASP Ramhan Nansel, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), said in a statement on Tuesday in Lafia, confirming that the kidnapped victims that were rescued, through the support of Fulani leaders, were not students of FULafia.

The police spokesperson added that one of the victims was a graduate of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, while the second is a student at Al-Qalam university, Katsina.

Humprey Adamba, a veterinary college student of kenya has appeared in court for allegedly introducing a 14-year-old boy to gayism during the holidays, Siggy reveals.

The 20-year-old Kenyan student is alleged to have committed the offence on October 11,2021 at Vetlab in Kabete, Nairobi county.

Adamba is said to have shared, through WhatsApp message, with the minor, photographs of nude men kissing each other. He intended to use the photos in luring the 14-year-old into a sexual act.

According to a police report tabled in court, the father of the 14-year-old boy gave his son his android phone to do an assignment during the holiday.

"Upon his return to school the father took his phone back and while he was going through the phone WhatsApp chats he bumped into a chat with a contact saved as Humprey which had obscene images” the report read in part.

The complainant was shocked to see photos of nude men kissing one another, videos of male persons dancing provocatively with inner garments, together with love messages from the accused.

“It hit his father that his minor was being introduced to gayism, he immediately called the father of the accused” the report read.

The father of the accused went to the complainant’s house, where he was informed of his son’s behaviour and was willing to hand him over because he had also noticed some fishy behaviour.

The accused was arrested and taken to Spring Valley police station and upon interrogation, it was established that he did not only send suggestive photos to the minor but also videos of gay sex.

He pleaded not guilty before Nairobi Chief Magistrate Wendy Micheni, and was released on a bond of Ksh200,000 or cashbail of Ksh100,000.
