PoliticsRe: Supreme Court Affirms Final Forfeiture Of Properties Linked To Emefiele by Bossman(m): 10:31pm On Jul 18
Seizing of properties is not enough. They should prosecute and send these people to jail for a very long time, up to and including the death sentence. That will make others think twice.
PhonesRe: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by Bossman(m): 12:31am On Jul 18
I would think the new kit is associated with your account. If you want to use it at another location, you will have to let them know. And that will be a separate account.
SourYoghurt:
good evening everyone, I have been without internet and I contacted CS and long story short, they sent a replacement, however when I wanted to mount it, I found out that Rat or whatever animal cut it. I have reconnected it and it's working. I was thinking if I can use the new kit in my secondary location by creating a new account or using my partners information?

TravelRe: Life In Vietnam As A Nigerian by Bossman(m): 10:21am On Jul 17
Vietnam despite being a developing country like Nigeria, is actually considered more developed than Nigeria. Infrastructure, healthcare, etc. are better than Nigeria’s. It also has a GDP that’s more than 4X that of Nigeria.
PhonesRe: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by Bossman(m): 12:18am On Jul 16
Very true. When one factors in the average earnings in Nigeria, internet cost is super expensive. Let's not even talk about how unreliable it is. The overwhelming majority of Nigerians get their internet via data plans from their mobile carriers. I feel the high cost is mainly due to the cost the carriers have to pay to provide the service, such as diesel, non-existing infrastructure, etc.

dustmalik:
Internet is even way cheaper in Europe. You can get 10Gbps unlimited fiber in a lot of countries is Europe for less than €30. In Spain and Portugal you get 10Gbps for €15. It's crazy how expensive internet is in Nigeria, a poor country at that.
ProgrammingRe: I Want To Learn Programming. Which Language Should I Start With? by Bossman(m): 5:39pm On Jul 13
You will need to lean beyond the basics if employment as a programmer/developer is your ultimate goal. I'd suggest you start small by writing a program that solves a simple problem. Then you can start to enhance the application with advanced functionality. This will serve as something you can showcase to potential employers.

Tboy2021:
Good day everyone.

For some months now,I started learning python on my own and I think I have made significant progress. I have been able to master basic pythons such as:

Variables...

With all these,I still think I need guide. I don't know how much to further or what I need to get employed or what next.

If you have been in my shoes before or you are an orientation expert, kindly throw more light as I am ready to learn.
Thank you.
TravelRe: List Of Countries That Don’t Need Visa To Enter Canada In 2026 by Bossman(m): 12:27pm On Jul 10
All the folks asking about the USA being omitted, did they actually read the article and they did not see this part?

“ Under the regulations, a small group of individuals can cross Canadian borders without a traditional visitor visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA).

This selective exemption applies to United States citizens, lawful U.S. permanent residents holding a valid green card”
TravelRe: New NIMC Act 2026: What Every Nigerian Living Abroad Needs To Know About NIN by Bossman(m): 12:19pm On Jul 10
There is nothing new mentioned in this whole rant. The same stuff they have always ranted about, But no implementation whatsoever, or very minimal execution at best. Nigeria has a very long way to go.
PhonesRe: Anyone Else Having A Bad Internet Connection? by Bossman(m): 2:53pm On Jul 08
The ISPs and Network providers in Nigeria are not held accountable for the seriously mediocre service that they are providing. Serious punishment, fines and sanctions will set them straight. The officials and governing bodies need to do better than this. I was there for just over 2 weeks last month. The service from MTN was barely usable for several hours each day. For someone that depends on a stable internet connection it was really frustrating.
Foreign AffairsRe: China Sentences Official, Yang Youlin, To Death For Taking $325m In Bribes by Bossman(m): 2:46pm On Jul 08
As I have posted in the past, this is the kind of punishment that we need in Nigeria. Extremely long prison sentences, up to and including death sentence. This will surely eradicate or at least reduce stealing/corruption significantly. As it is, there is no accountability in Nigeria. Even a number of politicians have come out and say they continue to steal because they are not held accountable. What a country!
EducationRe: The Most Educated Children In Nigeria By Ethnicity - StatiSense by Bossman(m): 3:08pm On Jul 05
As usual - the thread is turning into an ethnic/tribal argument, just like a lot of other threads on this platform. Sad to say but, there is no hope for Nigeria to progress!
PhonesRe: Iphone 12 Pro Max Gets Hot After Short Use. by Bossman(m): 9:15pm On Jul 03
I have an Iphone 12 pro max as a secondary device, though it was my primary for a while. I have never experienced what you described above. What's the battery health of your device? Mine is at 77% and it still gives decent battery life. It's possible you have a defective device,
ChristoBam:
Also the phone stopped charging two times at 80 percent. Saying it'll contain charging after the phone temperature calms down a bit. That ever happened to your phones?
EducationRe: The Most Educated Children In Nigeria By Ethnicity - StatiSense by Bossman(m): 8:25pm On Jul 03
Does everything in Nigeria need to be divided along Ethnic Or Tribal lines? This lack of homogeneity (One Nigeria) is one of the main reasons this country will not progress.
PhonesRe: Airtel Odu Advice by Bossman(m): 9:27pm On Jun 26
No, It will not be faster. As long as the ODU uses a sim card that will connect to the same network, it will not be faster.
TravelRe: I Returned To Nigeria After 5 Years In The UK - Everyone Thought I Was Not Ok by Bossman(m): 7:55pm On Jun 24
I mentioned way earlier in the thread that, from OP's posting history, this is a fake/cooked up story. Nothing was adding up.
Yoighaman:
Means she is just telling lies, but why should anyone do that? For what exactly?
PhonesRe: Nigerian Fintech Breaks Borders: Plug.ng Launches Global Esim In 150+ Countries by Bossman(m): 8:53pm On Jun 23
Not much out there yet about their Esim, since it's new. However unless they have a specific niche in a specific region, say Africa, for example, it will just be one of the tons of Esims out there. The Global Esim market is so saturated these days. I have personally used Nomad, Airalo, and Saily esims for travels in SE Asia and the Caribbean with great success. My observation is that these esims are expensive to use in Africa in general. So if Plug.ng can focus on that region and offer very good rates, it will be a huge plus for them.
TravelRe: U.S Visit: Port Of Entry Interview/stories. by Bossman(m):
Nothing to do with airports. It really depends on the specific officer you meet and their assessment of you. They will use their discretion to determine what questions to ask you. That assessment and how you answer the questions will determine your admissibility. Just have your complete documents and be truthful.

Fehintolajones:
Good Afternoon Everyone

I will like to ask about recent POE stories

What airports should be avoided? which airports has been smooth

Will appreciate any recent input considering the ban and issues with Visas lately

Thank you
CelebritiesRe: Rick Ross Responds After He Was Spotted Flying Commercial (video) by Bossman(m): 4:39pm On Jun 12
He does NOT owe anyone any apology. I mentioned on another platform that it must have been a last minute thing and his jet is likely not available and he had to make the trip. The next option is to try to rent a jet (if available) for the trip or fly commercial.
Christianity EtcRe: Since I Moved To America, I No Longer Pray For 20 Minutes – Oyindamola by Bossman(m): 3:18pm On Jun 11
Because the US is a prosperous country. So the level of giving amongst the few that go to church is very high.

Over 00% or Nigerians attend church/mosque weekly. OTOH, only about 20% of Americans do. As the OP said, Nigerians go to church to pray for the basics that should have been provided by the crooked Government.
erad:
While I'm not religious, he's saying absolute nonsense. American pastors are some of the richest worldwide, why's that?
TravelRe: I Returned To Nigeria After 5 Years In The UK - Everyone Thought I Was Not Ok by Bossman(m): 2:32pm On Jun 10
Yeah. Sounds like this is just a made up story. At least from the OP's posting history.

CelebritiesRe: BNXN Relocates To The US, Says "Lagos, More Expensive Than US" by Bossman(m): 1:46pm On Jun 10
Real Estate is atrociously overvalued in Lagos! The garbage in these so called high-brow areas are so overvalued that it makes no sense. Majority of the people that can purchase them also happen to be politicians and their families, all using stolen money of course.
43Ronin:
I see ordinary, unattractive, unfurnished houses going for 1.2 billion in lekki and I am like so I will carry $1.2 million dollars to buy rubbishhuh Of which from that millions of dollars I will buy a new house outright for $450k then invest the remaining in stock market where my interest will be compounded. Corruption has destroyed the economy of Lagos. Worst of it all, lagosnis dirty and smelling
PhonesRe: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by Bossman(m): 4:07pm On Jun 04
Starlink are good with sending out replacement units, especially when it's within the 12 months warranty period. However, they do frown upon multiple replacements, especially if it's weather related.
606thearena:
Good morning guys pls I need help , 2 days ago heavy rain fell in my locality. The rain came with thunder lighting , it happen at night . I woke up in the morning and notice I’m offline , I checked my starlink and notice the WiFi router is on but I can’t see the connections , it’s obvious that thunder must have stuck the antenna . PoliticsRe: Electricity: NERC Approves Special Compensation For Band A Customers by Bossman(m): 3:40pm On Jun 04
Sometimes you have no choice but to be on band A. If you live in an estate or apartment that has moved their power supply to band A, you have no choice but to comply and pay the very high rate that comes with it. I am personally fine with Band A, as long as they provide electricity for the stated amount of hours that comes with it.

Unfortunately the country will continue to lag behind in development if it cannot resolve this electricity problem. There is not advanced country in the world that does not have 24/7 electricity. Electricity drives innovation and advancement. Nigeria has a long way to go!

nairalanda1:
Not everyone on band A is rich. I even know some people on band A, and they would think you are madt if you called them rich. I also know a lot of rich people on the other bands.

Infact if you see a posh house with solar panels, that person is a rich one who is on either band B or lower.

PhonesRe: The Iphones In America Are Different From The Iphones Sold In Nigeria by Bossman(m): 10:36pm On Jun 03
Apple itself does not ship internationally. However, you can buy the appropriate one you need from a 3rd party and have it shipped to you. You just need to make sure you do NOT buy the US version if you need to insert a physical sim card.
AllLovingGod:
But if one buys it directly from Apple or Amazon and ship to Nigeria, would it work well here in naija?

Thanks for the great enlightenment
PhonesRe: The Iphones In America Are Different From The Iphones Sold In Nigeria by Bossman(m): 6:58pm On Jun 03
Extremely very few. The overwhelming majority of Iphones sold in Nigeria are second hand.
Helpfromabove1:
So how many Nigerians buy new iPhones
PropertiesRe: NAF Valley Estate, Asokoro: This Abuja Estate Is Only for the Super Rich by Bossman(m): 3:32pm On Jun 02
Exactly! Complete lack of infrastructure and security in the entire nation. May be it should read "The estate is for the Super Thieves"
Sheuns:
As expensive as it is, it is most certain that every home there dug its borehole, generates its electricity and have its own private security. The politicians in this country are the most myopic and terrible I've seen or read about.
PhonesRe: IOS Iphone Anyone? Find A Solution For Ur Iphones Here by Bossman(m): 11:37am On Jun 01
Make sure you are entering the country code 234 without the +. If that still does not work can you try voice call option if available.

For over a week now have been trying to create an iCloud account but keeps saying can not send otp to the phone number. I've tried about 4 different phone numbers but still the same.
PhonesRe: Which One Should I Buy? by Bossman(m): 11:20am On Jun 01
Have you compared both on a site like GSMarena? Check out the difference in feature and battery, etc. You know what you want in a phone. So only you can make that decision.
BusinessRe: 70% Of Nigerian Firms Depend On Generators – AFDB by Bossman(m): 5:50pm On May 31
The electricity issue is the #1 problem(rampant Corruption is right up there as well) hindering development in the country. It's 2026 and Nigeria still does not have constant electricity. Until this issue is resolved the country will continue to lag behind in development and technological advancement.
PhonesRe: Samsung Official Thread by Bossman(m): 10:08am On May 31
I’d advice you to take it to a reputable phone repair
Shop at this point.
TimmyBrass:
I bought a screen repair kit and I used it on my galaxy s23 ultra screen. So, it started ghost touching later on and the screen started showing multiple colors. Late on, the screen isn’t just coming up at all. But when I tried to call the phone, it is ringing. And there’s no way I could switch it off since the screen isn’t coming up.
Please, what can I do at this point?

I fear I won’t have to change the screen. I hope it is something minor.
TravelRe: Barbados Pledges Support For Air Peace’s Lagos-Barbados Route by Bossman(m): 10:00am On May 31
Very good question. I was asking myself the same thing. The flights could be once a week or so. Or even a seasonal thing. Barbados is pretty much a tourist destination. With mostly American, Canadian and British tourists visiting the place. And it’s a cruise stop for most Eastern Caribbean cruise routes. My 2 visits to the island was via a cruise stop.
Using the Barbados as a stopover for the other Caribbean islands could be an option. But inter-island flights are extremely expensive in the Caribbean.

Kobicove:
Is this route commercially viable, how many Nigerians even go to Barbados each year?
PhonesRe: Iphone Storage Is Full by Bossman(m): 3:07pm On May 28
You can subscribe to additional Icloud storage. If that's not an option, and you can remove stuff off your phone to clear space, then the next option is another device with more storage.
