Yes, she will need the NIN for passport blockgeek69: |
Because a good majority of Nigerians access the internet via mobile data (MTN, GLO, etc.). Not via dedicated internet service providers offering unlimited data. Unlike in other countries where it's the other way around. Pretty much every house hold has unlimited home internet provided by an Internet Service Provider. In addition to the mobile data on their phone of course. Nigeria will get there eventually. ThothHermes: |
Affordability is certainly still an issue. An overwhelming Majority of Nigerians (over 160 mobile internet subscriptions) still access the internet via mobile data. Because there are different and much cheaper data subscriptions, with data limits of course. Just no affordable unlimited data options in Nigeria. |
I think she has a case against the seller, if there is proof the seller was aware or notified of the impending demolition. I know these sort of things can drag on in court for a very long time. But that's their best option for recovery of their money as I see it. |
Exactly! He makes very good sense. Gerrard59: |
I see a lot of talk about not owning the house until after 30 years. Not totally correct. A good percentage of us pay off these mortgages in half that time or less. Same thing with our vehicles. We pay them off in way less than half of the terms of the loan. Building very good credit is very critical. One thing the most advanced and developed countries of the world have in common is, a very god credit system. It enables and empowers its citizens. The lack of this is one of the myriad of things binding Nigeria back. |
It clearly says it's locked to owner. If that's not you then reach out to the owner. prophetyusuf: |
I concur. If you have the right skillset there are plenty of jobs for you to choose from. IT-Software Dev is still a more marketable skill than most of the traditional nontech skills. MT: |
If tech is oversaturated, then finance is oversaturated X 10! On the US side, you are better of anytime any day with IT/Software Dev skills than accounting/finance. There may be 1000 applicants for a single tech job posting. However, there will probably be 10,000 job applicants for the same single accounting/finance job posting. Actually the job prospects between these 2 are not even comparable here in the US. You still stand a better chance of getting sponsorship for a tech job than finance/accounting. There are tons of folks from top notch schools with degrees in finance/accounting here in the US that can't find a job. So why would anyone sponsor you for that. I have been in tech (software Development) for a very long time, though in management now. There is still pretty good demand for those with strong tech skills. |
Your passport must match what's on your NIN. If they are both wrong then you need to change both then. Change NIN first, then do passport afterwards. Omolaugh26: |
Exactly what it says! The device has been locked to the owner. Contact the email. You sure this is your device? slimsophiediva: |
What percentage of Nigeria's population in your quoted age group are retired and traveling the world? AmuDimpka: |
To the best of my knowledge here in the US only, only permanent Resident students or those that are Citizens are able to get student loans. Now, there are international student loans for which there will need to be a Cosigner. So, more than likely the agent is the cosigner here. As already posted, make sure you verify the terms of the loan with the agent. Alfabest07: |
Wow! The Iphone craze in Nigeria is so insane that it it seems like some people forget to use their common sense. Folks with misplaced priorities all over the place. culcat: |
I use it in the US where we have very fast unlimited internet connection. The service itself is just $80/year. But you will need solid internet connection. I purchased MTN's 200GB monthly data plan so that I have enough to last me for my 2 week stay. Of course, you will also need an internet box such as firestick or android box. oluwafreshkid: |
It's an IPTV provider called Network 24. I use it in the US and travel with it. So brought it to Naija and using it with my MTN data sim. Judolisco: |
That's internet TV. Using IPTV provider Network 24. oluwafreshkid: |
Internet seems to be fine this early morning. I’m using MTN.

Not exactly correct. The NIMC app is what will be needed to unlink a number from NIN, Not the MyMTN app bobkezel: |
You will need to visit an NIMC center near you to do any modifications. Anyone that tells you they can do it without your presence is not being truthful. Modifications require your biometric data (fingerprint, picture) to be recaptured. Colandrewnda: |
How did you achieve this without you being present? For any modifications, your biometric information (Fingerprint, picture, signature) will be captured in order to save the information. Ayodeleh52: |
Just saw this and it reminded me of this forum. It’s good to be truthful about our intentions and have enough money to cover the cost of birth. This lady was turned back at Detroit Airport. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRE9xSWeT48?si=hZq-Upb81gHmDBTI |
There is crime everywhere. And besides, most of the crime here in Chi-town is concentrated on the West side of downtown. I am in quiet and very safe a Suburb about 55 miles from downtown. Majority of Nigerians live in Suburbs and will not experience any of the crime. And downtown proper itself is quite safe. Took the train down there for work for about 15 years or so...no issues at all. Lisa290: |
USA is a land of opportunities. If you are dedicated and can work hard the sky is the limit for you. Nurses have different options to make such amount - overtime, shift differential, Holiday pay, etc. molybdenum0012: |
Some folks are saying they regret moving out of Nigeria, etc. The bottom line is - you have to plan well before you make your move. Make sure you move legitimately as well. You do these things and you are a hard worker, things will work well for you. At this rate, just about any country in the Western work is better than Nigeria. Heck! Just comparing the life expectancy in Nigeria to that of UK/US (52 vs 80/77), and most other countries outside Africa is enough to convince one to get the hell out! |
It's nowhere near green in Nigeria though. Reelmii: |
Please elaborate how this can be done. The NIMC app will send a verification code to the phone number on file before you can log in. If that same phone number is lost, you can't even log into the NIMC app. FFIA: |
As already discussed here, Pixel phones will only show/operate on 5G in the countries they are released for (USA, UK, etc.). Pixel phones are not released for the Nigerian market. suogal: |
Once you find out which one is incorrect (MTN or NIMC), you'll need to change to update it. stacyadams: |
