While reading through this thread on the front page,https://www.nairaland.com/5156403/blackout-lagos-ekedc-apologises-customers it occurred t me so many people have brilliant ideas on solving this ever-present problem.

We are in the 21st century,power- failure ought to be thing of the past .

So what in your opinion is the solution? I personally need more explanation on the “grid “ . Why is it centralized?is that the most effective way?can we hold distributors responsible now that energy sector is commercialized?

One reoccurring question has been what would be the fate of generator dealers?what should the government do about them? rumor has it these people settle the government not to fix this problem because that would be the end of their business. What alternatives can the government give them?

Nairaland is such a big platform. We can start the change here!

The constitution isn’t supporting rape. Rather the judge trying to pervert justice as the constitution provides life imprisonment for such offender.

Well,about why jazz cannot be reproduced by just anybody?

Jazz or juju are part of our traditional or indigenous knowledge. This knowledge was protected traditionally by royal decrees,taboos and some were specifically placed in families,guilds etc.

This is why certain families are known for a particular craft e.g blacksmiths,sculptors and herbalists.

If the knowledge is divulged to anyone it can be diluted or sold to another community without proper reward to us.

It’s no doubt the knowledge has been misused by some persons. For example,some of the secrets placed in guilds has metamorphosed into witchcraft. Herbalists now use “herbs” to produce ”aluwo”(hit and fall)etc.

To all of you who don’t believe in the veracity of jazz,just go to the traditionalists and give them proper incentives. You will be amazed with the wealth of knowledge we have in Africa. “Ifa” predicts the future,but you must belong to the guild.(for those of you who wants to win lotto..lol)
