patrick89: I was very upset yesterday the way the mods quickly pushed unsubstantiated claims by one writer calling for the Bloody bakassi boys back, I warned the mod to pull that off frontpage for the claim is still a rumour that it lack source, or take it to crime section, but they insisted, I said that the writer might not even be igbo, that if you continue like this, igbos as fast learners will start doing same, we igbos are quick learners and when we learn we over do it.. they didn't listen, ok I woke up this cold morning, saw beautiful piece by Azuka Onwuka, on how Igbo apprenticeship has helped to alleviate people from poverty, and saved many people from war trauma , it helped us to recover very fast as if nothing really happened.. But the Mod didn't see the post worthy to be on frontpage, they shoved it down and dump it to culture section, this is because the content didn't insult or denigrate the great people of igbos,, I have decided to vent my anger over this, for you can't continue to push people around and expect them to seat and watch! you want people to see igbos as everything bad, it will fail as usual!

Aae-Fii-Cee Change! Sai Baba!! Sai Buhari!!! Una never see anything yet, just tight your belt, more of the secret agenda is yet to be unveil. The first game plan is to shut your mouth, your voice and electronically disarm you or you can call it e-disarm. If they should succeed in doing that, then they can unleash dictatorship and a tyrannical government on Nigeria.
Beneficiaries: The ruling party, those in authority like the president (Buhari), the governors (e.g El-Rufai), MPs (excluding Ben Bruce) the very rich, the ministers and other so call powerful ones.
Loosers: The masses, the electorates, the oppressed, the poor and the ordinary Nigerians, the youths (students) etc.
But God forbid, no weapon fashioned against Nigeria by this few shall prosper, we are ready to go to war with the so called elites. They are only 10%, we are 90%. |

My brother i see your grief, but i think democracy is not the problem, it is working in some many other countries, why is it not working in Nigeria? We the people are the real problem. In Amaechi's words " we keep stealing because the people have not stoned us ". Until Nigeria will stop forming religious and arising from cowardice in one voice and action to revolt against the leadership and these system of unequal justice and inequity called Nigeria, where they say the law is the last hope for the common man, but in the real sense the common man here they are referring to are the rich, the big politicians and those in authority. Re-editing of the the so call laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria that encourages the government officials and politicians to appropriate our common wealth to themselves, will be a critical step to end all these trends. Today IBB has called himself a saint, OBJ is parading himself as a hero, Abdulsallam, Tinibu, Amaechi, Sylva, Saraki, Atiku and many others too numerous to mention, are walking tall and freely, even though they know in their hearts they are looters, they will tell you "until the law prove me guilty" which they know can never be, because they know how to thwart it. Lets hope that someday the people of Nigeria will arise and say enough is enough to all these rubbish. |

Politics › Re: Calling Niger Deltans "Ignorant And Helpless" Is The Height Of Cluelessness by boujaye: 11:10am On Dec 07, 2015 |
TonyeBarcanista: I read a thread written by a member of this forum with username 'Sweetguy25' titled Reasons Why Yoruba And Hausa Are Happy Being Nigerians. In the thread, the writer, inspired by the figment of his own imagination gave some reasons why some ethnic groups are 'happy' being Nigerians. In the said write-up, the writer wrote some insulting remark on the Ijaws and other ethnic nationalities in the Niger-Delta. In the words of the writer, "the reasons why Ijaws and other minorities in the South South are “content being Nigerians” Ignorance and helplessness. .
The position of the writer on the Ijaws and other ethnic nationalities within the Niger Delta region is a statement cluelessness and ignorance to be fair with the author. May I remind the author that the ethnic minorities in present day Edo and Delta states are the first and only group of post-independent Nigeria that got their demand(Midwest) through referendum after years of civil agitation. Till date, no other group in Nigeria have got ANY of their demand through referendum. It is on record that an Ijaw youth named Major Isaac Jasper Adaka Boro was the first in the history of Nigeria to declare an independent republic in 1966, the Niger Delta Republic. It is on record that an Ogoni man named Mr Ken Saro Wiwa defied the military junta of Abacha to press for an end to environmental pollution in Ogoni land and the Niger Delta region. It is on record that Ijaw youths in the late 1998 defied the military government of Abdulsallam by declaring their bill of right in Kaiama, Bayelsa state. This was after the Ogonis have did theirs in 1991. In fact, virtually all ethnic nationalities in the south south including Ikwerre, Urhobo, Oron etc have their respective Bills of Right, all of which are before the United Nation Organisation, African Union, ECOWAS, Commonwealth, and the Federal Government of Nigeria. Though I don't support armed struggle, it is on record that the first post civil war group to carry arms against the Nigeria State are Niger Delta youths, when the demanded an end to marginalisation.
Considering all these, is it not in place to state that the author of that said article is misinformed? Can a helpless group declare sovereignty in the military era? Can a helpless group challenge Abacha? Can a helpless group pick up arms? Can an ignorant group maintain their advancement for fiscal autonomy? Were the Midwest(Edo and Delta) ignorant and helpless when they pushed and got demand for a separate region? Can ignorant and helpless group identify what they need from the system, document them and present them to local and global authorities? Why then should someone make himself to believe that Niger-Deltans are 'happy' being Nigerians due to ignorance and helplessness?
It is always proper for people to check records before uttering statement in public that portrays them as ill-informed and clueless.
I believe that no Nigerian is happy with the present state of the country irrespective of the position of the selfish and greedy elite. The ethnic nationalities in the south south shall continue to advance for fiscal autonomy within the Nigeria State by exploring every peaceful and legitimate option available. A time shall come when Nigeria State will be left with no option but to call for all ethnic groups to a round table in order to restructure the system for the good of all Nigerians.
May God Bless Us All and Bless Nigeria Professor, Respect. I dough my hat for your brilliant and enlightened inputs and argument of facts. |

Mr. Obasanjo wrote the letter in response to an earlier letter written to him by Mr. Jonathan on September 22, informing him of his plans to set up a foundation through which he would continue to service humanity. see more.......................... http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/193916-exclusive-obasanjo-to-jonathan-use-your-foundation-to-show-remorse-for-your-past-actions.html OBJ the book is not yet out and you are sheen popping, when its finally out what will you do? load yourself with suicide bomb? |
