Let me bare an unbiased opinion about this since it appears the wailers are simply too dumb to engage on in any constructive and intelligent argument- all I've been hearing are insults and "apologise to Jonathan".
No Wailer has been able to ask one a very IMPORTANT question regarding one VERY OBVIOUS ANOMALY surrounding this whole "subsidy removal/deregulation" stuff, and that question is: if the government had earlier claimed that they subsidise petrol by about N17 per litre, then why on earth isn't fuel selling for approximately N103 per litre ( ie 86+17) as against N145 or the N120 allegedly being proposed now??
Wailers, make una try get small sense so una go fit put us, and perhaps, the government, on our toes. Throwing insults around and getting tens of likes wouldn't get you lot anywhere.
Government needs to tell us why it is 145 and not 103. you have not made any tangible point. ask kachukwu to clarify you, if you wil ever get truth from APC |

I think what the boys are doing is just to draw the FGN's attention to their plight, i discover in Nigeria violence/protest is the only key to committing the government to doing something about an ugly situation; again this is very wrong. |

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DID NOT REMOVE SUBSIDY BECAUSE THERE IS NO SUBSIDY AT #86.5 PUMP PRICE OF FUEL
Before you go to protest against the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government, be informed that the government did not remove any subsidy because there was no subsidy to be removed in the first place! So don't go and protest against what does not exist. Seek information and be informed.
This is what the government has done. The government has simply stopped giving foreign exchange to fuel importers and has asked them to source for foreign exchange through secondary sources. Why has the pump price of fuel increased from #86.5 to between #135 and #145? This is specifically as a result of the difrence between the official exchange rate and the informal (parallel) market exchange rate. This is the simple mathematics. The official exchange rate is #199 per dollar while the parallel market exchange rate is #320 per dollar. This represents and increase of 37% (320-199/320 × 100 = 37.8%). This reflected exactly in the new price of petrol as it increased from #86.5 to an averag of #140 which is an increase of 38% (140 - 86.5/140 ×100 = 38%).
There may be a gap in the dissemination of information to the public and it is totally regrettable and I am sure it will be taken care of, but I encourage Nigeians to seek the right information. I have always insisted that there was nothing like fuel subsidy and I stand by that. The Federal government cannot continue to be the sole source of foreign exchange for the importation of fuel in the face of falling price of crude resulting in the depletion of our foreign reserve. It unsustainable and cannot satisfy the domestic consumption of fuel in Nigeria.
Nigeria gets foreign currency from the sell of crude and the price of crude has fallen by over 70%. This means that the government no long has enough dollars to give to fuel importers. A lame man shoud be able to understand this.
With the competition that will set in from the open market, it s expected that the pump price of fuel will naturally crash in time.
Please share and enlighten every Nigerian.

Christianity Etc › Man Shot To Death By Fellow Parishioner During Hymns by boujaye(op): 10:20am On May 06, 2016 |
An argument about seats during a church service near Philadelphia ended with two gunshots and a dead parishioner, according to authorities. Mark Storms has been charged with voluntary manslaughter and reckless endangerment in the fatal April 24 shooting of a fellow churchgoer, Robert Braxton III, at Keystone Fellowship Church in North Wales, Pa. Braxton “arrived at the service only armed with his Bible,” police wrote in an affidavit. Storms, 46, had a concealed-carry permit, which he showed to Braxton during the argument, police said. “It is clear the shooter brought a gun to a crowded church, he introduced that gun into a verbal altercation that turned into a fistfight and then fired the gun twice, aiming at the vital part of the body, killing the victim,” Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele saidStorms, whose next hearing is May 12, remains in custody, with bail set at $250,000. On Tuesday, attorney Benjamin Cooper in the county’s public defender’s office was directed to represent Storms, the Bucks County Courier Times reported. “Cooper said he will seek a two-week postponement [of the hearing] while he familiarizes himself with the case and talks to Storms,” the newspaper reported. Detectives interviewed more than 50 witnesses to the incident, many of whom described Braxton as being agitated, using profanity and yelling at others to leave him alone. Several said that he sat down in a row that appeared to have been occupied by others who momentarily left, and that Braxton reacted loudly when someone tapped him on the shoulder. Witnesses said Storms — who is not an usher — approached Braxton after ushers and an associate pastor tried to calm the man down. A row of chairs separated the two men, and several witnesses said Braxton showed a badge and indicated he had a weapon — a 9 mm handgun. ‘We need healing,’ pastor says after fatal church shooting during hymns Lord have mercy! Endtime church goers everywhere, some kill, some rob, some snatch wife right in the church. Fellow Nairalanders, whats your take on this? LESSON to learn: Don't drag seat in any ocassion, whether church, party, ceremony etc. If anyone confronts you concerning seat, quickly and kindly leave the seat. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/acts-of-faith/wp/2016/05/05/parishioner-shot-to-death-in-church-during-hymns-was-only-armed-with-his-bible-police-say |

Pontaboki: By Benson Jackson
There was a call made by Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to the president, he was put on hold for over an hour 15 minutes.
This call was made in the presence of 13 men and 4 women, the president aide told the Governor that the president will get back to him. The president through his aide after 4 hrs told Enugu state governor that the president will do something about it.
My relative was among the people who witness this call. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on hearing that the police have not arrived at Uzouwani called GOC 82 division for help. He was referred to the presidency again.
This time around, he was put on hold for nearly 2 hrs again, while waiting to speak to the president. News came in that the attack he was planning to prevent has actually taken place.
Within an hour, the commissioner and GOC who referred the Governor to the president has mobilised their men to stop retaliation. The same way Lagos and Agatu was attacked and retaliation prevented.
I want to use this medium to apologise to the Governor of Enugu state, but I would like him to demand probe/investigation on this massacre. I will know he has learnt his lessons, if not he is still a cretin we will have for only four years.
We need to know why police commissioner and GOC need presidency order before they can protect the innocent citizens?. We need to know – why police and military sent their men to Uzouwani after the attack to prevent retaliation?. We need to know why a sitting Governor cannot use the support of police and military to protect his people?.
My governor, I am just apologising because l taught you did nothing at all, but as a man ” what was your PLAN B?, if presidency fail to help. You would have use the media which is FREE.
Abled men and women would have prepared to help and protect their people.
Orji Uzo Kalu, used media to avert this type of unnecessarily deaths in Okigwe during his tenure. He called his media team and went on air. His face off with Obasanjo made him bypass OBJ and went on air. Abians were forced to prepare and fulani men went back home.
Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Buhari is a jihadist he has agenda. Don’t wait for police and military use media which is FREE.
Put the call before public media , have it taped and watched and monitored all over the world and Uzouwani citizens would’ve rushed back home in their millions to protect their relatives. The world will see how a tyrant value lives of his people.
By now people will be calling for GOC and commissioner heads and ofcourse the world would have had evidence that we have Islamic lunatic as a president.
As an incompetent governor you are, you don’t have PLAN B which is free. is buck passing the solution? you heard about the planned attack, what was your contribution to avert it? |

That is what is paining them and that is what they cannot bear to hear. Now they seek vengeance and they wish to silence me yet I am prepared for the worse.
The only thing that I underestimated was the high degree of malice that our President has for all his political adversaries and critics, the inexplicable pleasure that he derives in inflicting pain on the innocent, the strange delight he harbors in indulging in wickedness and the monumental incompetence he displays when it comes to administering the affairs of our nation.
