Rick Ross


The Cross River State Government has hired lawyers in the United States to sue rapper, Rick Ross, for breach of contract.

The government stated this in a BlackBerry Messenger broadcast on Wednesday morning.

Ross was expected to perform today at the Calabar Festival but failed to turn up for unknown reasons.

The BBM broadcast reads, "‎​Please be informed that Rick Ross has  cancelled his performance at Calabar Festival after accepting full performance fee.

"The rapper, Rick Ross, has issued a statement cancelling his performance at the Calabar Festival, scheduled for December 28, 2011, for reasons not related to his recent surgery and seizures.  "The performer’s cancellation is unexpected and the reasons are unknown to Cross River State since he has confirmed receipt of his entire performance fee many weeks ago.

"Currently, Cross River State and its agents have retained counsel in the United States to pursue their legal and monetary remedies against the artist."

In an interview at the wedding ceremony, The father of chinedu"Aki" Ikedieze's wife,Mr lawrence Nwajah disclosed how her daughter met Aki and his reaction.See Excerpts below
How did your daughter break the news of her getting married to Aki?

Nneoma graduated from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology(ESUT). She did her National Youth Service, here in Lagos, and this is where she met Aki.
I remember that during one of her visits to the village, she hinted her mother that she had found her husband. As a mother, she encouraged her to break the news to me. And when she finally did, I welcomed the idea, because I married my wife without anybody’s interference.
I only said to her, ‘You have come of age, and I cannot choose a husband for you. Since you have found the man you want to marry, go ahead and marry the person. You will have my blessing.’ Later, I inquired to know who the lucky man was, and she mentioned Aki. I told her plainly,’ I have no problem with him’.
The first time you saw Chinedu, did you feel disappointed?
Not at all, Chinedu decided to marry my daughter and she accepted the proposal. Who am I to oppose the marriage? I never said Chinedu should not enter my compound, just as his father never said his son will not marry my daughter. We are all here today, to give them our blessings.

Nollywood  star actress, Chika Ike, has cheated death as she recently survived a ghastly car accident that would have claimed her life.
  According to source ,The actress was said to be returning from a movie location with her driver when her wine colour 2010 Honda CRV car crashed and damaged beyond repairs.
   The actress said,“I can’t explain how I escaped unhurt because everybody that came to the accident scene could not believe the occupants of the vehicle survived. I just thank God for the grace.”
