Travel / Re: Best Country To Relocate With My Family Apart From Canada by boyka1: 10:15pm On Nov 01, 2020
Arkmanbuddy:

First off, there are no jobs there, it is already choked up considering the population and the small landmass. Only people in the medical field can really enjoy working there. If you're a hustler, just forget it and go elsewhere.

You guys just type rubbish.

I live in the UK legally and i have got one full time job and three partime jobs. If you are living legally in the UK, you must get a job especially when you are a HUSTLER.

lol, please let's be calming down na..I don laugh tire.

Not everyone must do a white collar job. I dont just understand the craze of Nigerians and white collar jobs.

An elevator technician / mechanic makes about 400K CAD per annum, there are blue collar trade jobs that can make you live a comfortable life with investments.

Iranians in Canada are deep into the trucking business. They go to canada, learn how to drive heavy duty trucks, get certified, invite thier relatives...wash rinse and repeat till they pull the whole family out of generational poverty.

Nigerians should do the same aswell in the food business or other blue collar trades.

My 2 cents !!

I honestly dont understand Nigerians and their craze for white collar jobs.

I know a Nigerian who has vouched not to do blue collar jobs but prefers to watch movies all day. Bros claimed he was a Bank manager in Nigeria and must get something of equivalent in the UK. The annoying part is that this bros watches his wife work crazy hours just to pay all the bills.

Even the bible postulates that there is dignity in labour, yours sincerely does blue collar job and what i earn in a week is bigger than what some bankers earns monthly in Nigeria. My wife is in the Health sector and earns relatively high income and that did not stopped me from hustling.

Some Nigerians abroad lazy!!!

Which European country when go fit accept my Ond for Bsc program, preferably engineering. Thanks in advance.

We hype federal universities too much. A reputable university would not allow its students to stay at home due to strike.

I will appreciate if you can direct on the guidelines or steps you followed as I am currently on this same path. Thanks bro

Pretty straightforward application to be honest.

First step is to make an online application. You need to be meticulous when filling necessary information as making any silly mistake could affect the successful outcome of the application. After the completion of your online application, you are expected to pay the Visa and IHS fees. You will be sent a GWF number and IHS reference number upon payment of the aforementioned fees.

The second step is to book an appointment with TLS. You can either upload your documents by yourself before going for the appointment or pay them to upload your documents on the day of your appointment.

Feel free to ask further questions

They have not, if not they would have posted it on their website. They only said they are not receiving applications from commonwealth for now. Once the pandemic is over, and the travel ban is lifted, they will start sending invitations. Post evidence of what you saw. People have being joining from Nigeria since 2012.

It does.

Okay, I get you though. But we are still saying the same thing. Because the letter of maintenance could as well be referred to as letter of sponsorship, because you don't have to show proof of funds if the agent agrees to get you the "Letter of Maintenance". Anyways, thanks for the info

Please permit me to add voice to this.

You honestly dont need a letter of Maintenance in a situation where your employer had ticked YES against " Certify Maintenance for applicant and Dependants if any" on the Certificate of Sponsorship (COS). If by any chance, your employer certify maintenance for only applicant, in this case you could approach your employer for a LOM.

In my case, i printed my wife's COS and uploaded as evidence of proof of funds.

You’ll buy your own car soon by his grace wink

Second hand cars are quite cheap abroad but the problem is getting a licence. In the UK, you can get a good second hand car as cheap as £500-£700.

This was how January looks like.
The first shot was taken when I decided to walk 40min to school from my former accomodation. It was a wonderful experience. The chilly wind blowing and all.

I used to cycle to school using that beautiful route till my bike was stolen, it wasn't very expensive, I bought a used one for about €60, I looked for a road bike that had better speed and all.
My experience with bike was quite nasty. I chained it almost directly in front of my college. The space directly in my college was cramped up, there wasn't any place to lock my bike so I went to the next spot I could find. It wasn't a great lock actually.
First experience with the chaining and all and city cycling. That was how it was lifted. The owners carried it.

I was walking across a lawn some weeks after my bike was stolen, and I saw a quite a new Mountain bike in a big football field. Something told me to carry it, but my good boy side won.
My neighbor was tired of his bike and wanted to get rid of it, he left it outside unchained and that was how he got rid of it.
I asked him about the bike, he told me that whenever the tire of his bike get so bad that it needs replacement or any serious work need to be done, all he does is to leave it outside for someone that is interested to take. Then he goes online and buys another one.
That is how they do here, if its unchained its mine. grin
I knew I don enter express road.

The next one was taken last week, summertime sadness

Stealing of bikes is prevalent in the UK. My bike was pinched on a Monday, i got another on Tuesday and the new one was pinched on sunday of same week. I was reliably informed that stealing of bikes are the handiwork of crack heads, they could sell a bike of £500 for a tenner. The best bet is to invest the equivalent of your bike on locks.

Ok yes I was trying to get a care job, so I was asked to get a dbs certificate. Please how do I go about it. What are the necessary steps I should take

It is nothing major. The care company can apply and pay for the DBS or they send you a link to appy and pay by yourself. I hope this helps.

Please stop this generalization. It is ideally and logically wrong. If you don't have empirical evidence(s) to support your claim, then don't post this kind of comment.

Very illogical to say the least. My wife and i were countries apart for 4 months and i didnt cheat on her. Abeg forget that person.

Update

Plenty of shifts available but i got no strength to work them. See ehn, if you got enough strength for unskilled jobs and long hours and you are eligible to work in the UK without restrictions, UK is your best bet. Unskilled scatter for this my jurisdiction and i sincerely wish naija brothers are in here to grab them.

Mhen, Common unskiled jobs, they are gonna request Resident permit, NI Number and proof of address from you and unfortunately it is sort of mandatory here. Proof of address was a pain in the ass, but i got that sorted out eventually. Guys with Visit visa who intend to work with it should take note.
