semitunde:True talk o jare. Kindly confirm receipt. |
anonimi:If you will observe, to them that are without law, the writer says he also was without law, etc, so he may indeed bring them to God. In the context used, the pastor snapped a picture with a fellow human person. The flip side would have been that he refused to snap, stating that since he was a pastor, the bible forbids it. There is no such verse in the bible, and he extinguishes chances of winning over that soul to God. What the bible explicitly says is that which u kindly quoted, that even though he snaps with the "sinner" that doesn't itself reduce his spirituality or standing with God, (himself "not as being without law to God"...verse 21). In any event, reading the passage in line with previous comments made on this thread, the verse is not applied out of context but rather fits. Christ walked with sinners, didn't stop his being the Christ. This pastor snapped a photo with a human person, doesn't reduce his spirituality. Can you guess his intentions, perhaps for the sake of the gospel? The picture doesn't say. The same way people couldn't guess christs intentions when he lived with sinners. In conclusion, there shouldn't be a controversy when none exists. Christianity is not a death sentence to ones social life. |
semitunde:Thank you very much! Wise post. Bless you. Pm me your email add make send recharge card give you. |
WWWoOKLOADEDoTK:And that is why no one will click your link. ![]() |
warpedlogician:Unfortunately and obviously u haven't read that bible...it's not don't be unequally yoked it's don't be equally yoked. And does snapping a picture with a person make u equally yoked? Even if he danced with her, which he didn't, does that reduce his spirituality? Remember Jesus ate with tax collectors and was perfumed on his feet by a prostitute. Matthew was one of his best pals on earth and Matthew was a tax collector. Peter was a violent man, walking around with swords. (Remember when Christ was arrested, Peter cut a soldiers ear. Which Christ fixed, obviously Peter had the sword on him.) being a Christian or pastor shouldn't mean you live like a masochist or monk. we are to live Christlike. Christ had fun. Attended weddings and celebrations. Hell, he even turned water to wine, so the party won't stop. So what the funk are u saying? Here's an advice, go back and read that bible some more before your next comment |
warpedlogician:And what are the ideals of a pastor? To discriminate and have no friends? To lock urself up in a room and read the bible 24/7 without any form of social interaction? See it's people like u who give Christians a bad name. |
warpedlogician:I'm no Christian dog ure barking at the wrong tree. But try harder. |
warpedlogician:No he is not Jesus. We all are not, but we are taught by the bible to live like Jesus, you twit! And if Jesus did that, we all should relate with sinners and saints, even brainless ones too, just like u. ![]() And to show how really daft u are, how do u intend to slap over the Internet? Lmao. What a f.ool. |
warpedlogician:Congratulations you just won the dumbest guy of 2014. It was a close call...phew! 30th of dec. very close. So for taking a picture with an artist you said he is loose? U are indeed daft. Have u forgotten that Jesus wined and dined with sinners and even prostitutes? Or PDP paid u not to remember that? So because he is a pastor he should not relate with people again. And then u say "God help us o", negga he has helped u with brain already, use it! |
@op. You had everyone believing it was seun kuti. It moved to fp with much needed attention. Then you edited the title to just Nigerian artiste, after all the insults loaded on poor seuns head. Very unfair to Felas memory, and Seun Kuti. |
When did gay looks become the new cool for guys? Also, Show us the photo where Ice Price walked off stage crying. ![]() |
igbo2011:You were warning people to diversify. Lol. And you are? Who did you warn Abeg? |
Trust me, you will never be free until one of you leaves that office. Either you resign or she does, as long as you keep seeing each other, emotions will always run. Feelings will always breed. I was in that situation once, once I left the office, the feelings died and I focused on what was important. Fortunately for me however I was/am not married. In your case, any rift with your wife, and she will be the first one you will call and spend time with, to the detriment of your marriage. It's a wasted venture cos ure not getting married to her neither are u leaving ur wife for her. But oju to m'ora, ko le lo'un o m'ora mo. Once de be, forever de be. So leave her/get another job. In the alternative, make sure she's hooked up. Scratch that. Ensure she's hooked up, and advise her on being faithful to her boyfriend. Both of you will need a lot of discipline for this to work. In either case, commit yourself to loving your wife more. Make it a duty. Spend more time with your wife. Flaunt your wife and boast about her always. Splurge on her and always talk about how much you love her, even before your mistress. Ditch your mistress with excuses of having a romantic date with your wife. That way, the picture will get clearer. Spend all your money on your family, or family project, and when ure always broke cos of that, ull become unattractive to Ur mistress and she'll ditch u. Cheers |
theV0ice:ThAnk you o jare. This fireman guy thinks all Nigerians are idiots like him. The title of this post should have a question mark behind it. |
Na lie! They just got one white man, gave him a cardboard that resembled certificate to present to him. In a living room fa! Scam! United Nations jor, divided states ni. Meanwhile, why that man tie come short like that. Did he pay half price? |
When many are considering relocating out of lagos. But it Depends on where you are currently living, and the nature of your qualifications, largely lagos lifestyle is overrated. Looking for a job in lagos is not child's play either. Consider setting up your own business where you are and grow steadily, in Lagos that is not easy. Look around you, wherever you are, search for opportunities and seize it. However if you want to use your certificate to slave corporately, and grow old quickly with deteriorating health,, live in a densely populated and polluted environment, have little money to save due to the expense of living in Lagos, then Lagos is a good option. Lagos sucks the life and zest out of you. Please think it well before moving |
Are these the same 'suspects' who kidnapped the businessman in this Punch Story? Why use same 'suspects' for two different stories? Must there be pictures? Now i'm even doubting the whole story sef. http://www.punchng.com/metro-plus/we-chained-businessman-inside-toilet-for-four-days/

This thread is sickening. Together with the 'mummy we love you' trash! what the hell is all this nonsense? Are you all mad?! What and who is this woman to Nigeria, that all these hypocrites praise-sing her like this? No be this same Nigeria we all dey? or is there another Nigeria where this woman make sense? What has she ever done, (other than make a fool of herself on tv) to deserve this trumpet-blowing? A good wife, a good mother...bla bla bla. to who?! and so then? what has that information added to anything? and what is the business of Nigerians if she cooks for er husband or wash his pant? Did we vote for her? What is important about her, other than she is an 'educated' illiterate who has control of money, which obviously the OP wants some for himself. Anyways, in clearer terms, the OP is a hungry favor-seeking liar. All other praise-singers of this buffalo are impoverished stipend-seekers. Unfortunately, the buffalo wont read all these junk her boot-lickers are vomiting here. PS: *Spits on thread and walks away* and wont reply. ![]() |
God bless Nairalanders! you guys are awesome. As i dey read this thread, tears just dey swell for my eyes. I will do my bit and transfer. May God favor all who also help in a way or another. |
This man has thief written all over him. From the stage (pulpit), to his dressing. Lil Wayne has got nothing on him. Shame what Christianity has become. |
Ilekokonit:Bless you brother. It is true as you have said, we have developed a liking for our oppressors. Shame! |
EldaTimba:Thank you for your response. Let me reply as briefly as is necessary. 1: education. Where are these schools you claim exist? Or they exist only on Internet commentaries. Kindly name them so we can verify. Need I show you the number of drop outs from public institutions due to govts neglect and underfunding? Need I give details of the gross reduction in quality education in public schools, and yet increase in tuition fees? Need I show you how mass failure has become rampant more recently in neco and waec due to govts failure in funding public secondary schools, and underpayment of teachers? Of course you know that infrastructural decay is prevalent in public universities. 2: unemployment. I wonder how my employment status is of concern here. But anyway, for Ur information, see the below data. “In Nigeria...70 per cent of the 80 million youths in Nigeria are either unemployed or underemployed. We are all witness to what happened recently during the immigration recruitment exercise and this is simply because 80 per cent of the Nigerian youth are unemployed”. http://www.informationng.com/2014/06/80-of-nigerian-youths-are-unemployed-cbn-official.html http://www.informationng.com/2014/09/good-news-nigeria-records-85-per-cent-employment-in-first-half-of-2014-nbs.html U can count over ten of Ur friends who are jobless. Need I say more? 3: success in Ebola eradication was achieved by the Nigerian people, the fed govt merely gave statistics and press briefing. The money handed out was to PDP states, politicized. Visit public hospitals and return to edit Ur posts. Need I count how many Nigerians still need to travel out for medical attention, increased more recently because of understaffing, infrastructural decay of public hospitals? 4: infrastructure: funny u named one road. Is that the only road in Nigeria? Don't you see what happens when it rains on Nigerian roads? Can you count the number of potholes on these roads? Public Hospitals, schools, national monuments, have u visited any lately? Lagos Ibadan, yes what is being done on it? Railways, where? Have u taken one? Or isn't it another white elephant project? 5:corruption. I shouldn't even start counting. Read the news. Is it from frolicking with the obviously corrupt, or granting pardons to those convicted of corruption. 6: impunity. Drama in Rivers state, perpetuated by the fed govt controlled police. More recently with hon tambuwal. The list is endless. Which court has ever convicted any stooge of the fed govt, accused of corruption or abuse of office? Oduah and Dimeji Bankole comes to mind. Add yours. 7: poverty: u say phones?! That's absurd, to judge poverty by phones. Again see: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/04/440695/ Alleged Economic diversification and strong growth have not translated into a significant decline in poverty levels - over 62% of Nigeria's 170 million people live in extreme poverty. From the assessment, the World Bank established that Nigeria with about 170 million population falls among countries with extreme poverty whose over 70% population live on $1.25 (N200) or even less per day. Specifically, the report revealed that 7% of the 1.2 billion people living below poverty line in the world are Nigerians. The report stated thus: “The fact is that two-thirds of the world’s extreme poor are concentrated in just five countries: India, China, Nigeria, Bangladesh and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). If you add another five countries: Indonesia, Pakistan, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Kenya, the total grows to 80 per cent of the world’s extreme poor.” Our survey discovered that the World bank ranked these countries based on their population and their share of the 1.2 billion extreme poor people in the world thus: India (33%), China (13%), Nigeria (7%), Bangladesh (6%), DRC (5%), Indonesia (4%), Pakistan (3%), Tanzania (3%), Ethiopia (2%) an Kenya (1%). http://dailyindependentnig.com/2014/05/world-bank-report-poverty-nigeria/ 8: homelessness: go under the bridges and ask them why they're not in any fed govt built houses. Ask them why they all choose to live under the bridge. Also ask all the internally displaced families marauding the streets in the north why they like hanging around. 9: security. Really, I don't need to reply on this. Do you know how many robberies occur on a daily basis, which our police can't handle because they are ill equipped and underfunded? I sleep with both eyes open, even with security doors and stiff metal locks. Go to the boko haram infested states and ask them why they sleep with one eye open. Meanwhile, have the chibok girls returned yet? While I was typing the above, https://www.nairaland.com/1975516/bomb-blast-gombe-more-than So you see, these I've stated above are just what I can remember without searching. GEJ or PDP as the case may be, have wasted over ten years of Nigeria's time. Still have not got anything right, yet they ask for more? |
deletrue:Obviously you don't know Prof Oyebode. Kindly use google. His family is very successful, and made it through using their brains outside politics, a task that may be difficult for you at the moment. |
ugborakson:Shame on you. |
pro01:And I doubt if he very much cares about how high you hold him now. By your reasoning, anyone who speaks for the people, or demands better govt is an APC stooge. That is a very silly reasoning since there are many other political parties in Nigeria at the moment. Quickly linking him, quite unintelligently with tinubu or APC is very shallow, more so since he has never shown himself to be of any political party. I believe the Professor made his mind known, your attack should be at his comments and not at him. He is a fine gentleman, who made his success from the academics, and who has made his bones long before you were conceived, and with the way you reason, I doubt if you will ever achieve close to what he has. It is a fact that GEJ has failed as a leader. He may be better as a farmer, a husband, a lecturer or even a class rep, but as a president, be sincere with yourself, he is a big mistake which should be corrected in 2015. Ps: I am non-partisan. |
sleinadczar:Yes, most of them talking cannot manage themselves...but give them the wherewithal as the president has, they will perform better. Give them advisers, power, money and control of these things. Importantly, since they have the common sense, integrity, and concern for the common people, they will perform wonders. That is all that matters and that is what the president lacks. You don't need to be a Jesus Christ to administer a country and care for the people. A good heart, good intentions, with power and control of being a president is all that's necessary. |
clemz88:You're right, which democratically elected president has successfully tackled these I've listed? This one has made it worse. It hasn't ever been this bad, you will agree. So let's change govts, let's taste another and see what they can do. If we hold on to sth, how can we get Sth new? PDP has failed, please let's change techniques. |
It's a shame that some Nigerians fail to see the depths of underdevelopment we have sunk into. We are here celebrating and fighting for a government that is performing below mediocrity, while other nations move on. It is scary. When shall we summon the courage to call a spade a spade and demand what we want? If we become unfortunate to have this govt rule for anothe 4 years, Im sure these pro-GEJ people will return here and will be the first to start criticizing the govt. Are we blind to see that this country is regressing under PDP/GEJ? Can we not see the increased poverty and unemployment killing us, and the govt has neglected to do anything meaningful about it? Can we not see how education has been starved of attention, putting in jeopardy the future of the country? It's been PDP since democracy, yet no end to corruption, tribalism in govt, poverty and insecurity. Foreign respect for Nigeria has decreased to an embarrassing proportion, yet we are here trying to excuse the govts ineptitude and nonchalance. When shall we learn people? Our power for change is in our votes, our voices. PDP has had its chance and has ruined our country. Lets see what another party has in plan for us. We shouldn't be afraid of change. Let's say enough is enough. |
clemz88:Education Unemployment Health care Infrastructure Corruption Impunity Increase in Poverty Homelessness Security Would you like more? |
clean2:don't you feel stupid when you post this? Spamming threads like this is counterproductive to ur message. Try to be wise and appropriate. U don't get points for this. If you have nothing to contribute, type this rubbish on ur phone and send it to urself. Don't keep polluting the internet with this jargon |
justiceinBU:Thank you! Those are very vital and remarkable questions you just asked. Indeed few Nairalanders can answer these intelligent questions. So type them in a letter, send to the VC of the school, I'm sure he will be very glad to answer u. Other than that, go and borrow 25k and pay for ur certificate, sharply before they make it 30k. PS: young man, what they will do with the money is not ur concern at this moment. u just collect ur certificate waka, let them figure that out themselves. |
