This who should at best be an NURTW regional chairman. He joins the likes of Dino Melaye to make a mockery of Nigeria. How will we progress as a nation when we have amala and ewedu senators, and not thinkers and educated technocrats as our law makers? how? what have we done wrong as a country to deserve this, nitori olorun? |

But I can almost assure you that the major political parties will offer the VP slot to the SE. Between you and I lets hope the South doesnt fall for the trickery. Its just my opinion thogh. seguno2: No. We elected in principle the cleanest from amongst us. A government cannot justify its own corruption by saying everyone else is corrupt. the machinery of govt is given to the control of a few, to check crime and corruption. Meaning it is expected that few others will be corrupt. And of what use is handing such mmachinery to check crimes to criminals? We the sensible ones should see to it that criminals dont force or elect their kind into power. And that's why I said almost everyone. We sensible ones should see to it that elections are based on pedigree and not sentiments |

Almost everyone is corrupt in this joke of a country. You can never get anything done. We are under the dictatorship of the Nigerian Parliament. Nigerians should storm that complex and beat every single one of them and kick them out. Now the people can't even change their own representatives again? I hope we are learning. Elections should never be about sentiments and man know man. We should elect people with integrity and sense 3 Likes |
Politics / Re: If Buhari Is Declared Dead, Plan Is For Osinbajo To Appoint El-Rufai As VP - FFK by Braggante(m): 9:08am On Jul 14, 2017 |
Iamzik: The move is also to further silent Tinubu, and reduce his influence (as he is being relegated gradually). If Fanis statements are true we should be sure Tinubu will also be up and doing. Imagine a coalition of the South initiated by Tinubu and APC. For instance fronting an Ibo and Yoruba man for 2019 (Plausible). That will be formidable. The North will want to move first to break the South |
Politics / Re: If Buhari Is Declared Dead, Plan Is For Osinbajo To Appoint El-Rufai As VP - FFK by Braggante(m): 8:53am On Jul 14, 2017 |
Britain will do anything to keep power in the North, to foster a Northerner as the Nigerian president. Explains why a sitting president will remain in the custody of another country for over 60 days. And no concrete reason for Tony Blair's visit to Kaduna. (In Tony Blairs comment to the press in Kaduna, he spoke in terms of Kaduna being the capital of Nigeria. "If Kaduna is doing good, Nigeria will do good, and Africa will do good" ). So El Rifai becomes VP and will be more powerful and respected than the president, then he runs for the presidency in 2019, picking an Ibo/South-south man as his VP. Goal: Divide the South, which seems to be uniting against the North. 1 Like 1 Share |

Well said. We all keep attacking eachother: afonja, IPOB...and forget that while we are not united, nothing can be achieved and those who keep us in poverty are banking on and enjoying our disunity. Do we see any disunity in the National Assembly and co? Politicians are united in enriching themselves regardless of religious or tribal differences. Underpriviledged Ibos and Yorubas having at it at every opportunity (especially on Nairaland) jeopardizes the chances of speaking with one voice against the common enemy: The privileged corrupt politicians. There should always be a cause to seize fire, to identify who the true enemies are. Also please don't underestimate the power and influence of Nairaland e-wars. I had a friend. She is Yoruba. Very good friend and very educated. We were so close and despite not having any amorous relationship, we were like lovers. I introduced her to Nairaland and sometime later i found she was almost addicted to Nairaland. She would always make references to topics and posts on here, during our conversations. Not long ago she started misbehaving towards me and her comments reflected what she reads here. she used the term 'Phlat-head' to insult a man in my presence. To cut the long story short we are no more friends, for some silly reasons which would've been patched up easily. What I'm saying is, tribal e-wars creep into our subconscious and we act it out in real life. Ibos and Yorubas can be best partners in growth and economic advancement, we can use the synergy to be great as a people. (As can be seen from marriages of Ibo and Yoruba couples). In summary we need to unite in the south, else our Northern landlords will keep us in perpetual servitude. 8 Likes 3 Shares |

Do we see any disunity in the National Assembly and co? Politicians are united in enriching themselves regardless of religious or tribal differences. Should we care where the president is from? As long as Nigeria is better for it, we the people should look beyond tribe or religion for our own benefits. We the ordinary citizens should be united in calls to resetting this country in the way that will benefit us the people. PointZerom: God bless you. May your wisdom never wither. HE IS NOT YORUBA. He will be sold to the SW by the Northern oligarchs as a Yoruba man to win them over. But Nigerians should be wary of Saraki. He is a master schemer and very corrupt. Scratch that. Extremely corrupt. You can bet on that. He is aiming for the presidents seat and should he get it, we are going million steps backwards. Shame that the present admiration/situation of the country has given him a good ground to implement his schemes. The NASS are not stupid. They know what theyre doing. No matter how effective and good intentioned Osinbajo is, their goal is not the betterment of the welfare of Nigerians. It is to seieze power and ensure their corrupt enrichments is preserved to continue. And Saraki is their person. (Magu is the Presidents bulldog and a threat to the NASS). They will do anything to make the present government look incompetent in order to get the support of Nigerians. It is left to Nigerians to either sit and be docile as Saraki puts us in his pocket or resist. He already has the National Assembly in his pockets, and he protects them from even being recalled by their own people who elected them. We are presently under The dictatorship of The National Assembly who dictate how much they earn, what they want to do, and no one can question them not even the Judiciary or Executive, as against the principles of checks and balances. They are the corrupt unquestionables. We need to raise our voices now more than before. Meanwhile if seperation will rid this country of the Northern landlords who have absolutely nothing to offer Nigeria, yet believe it is their right to hold the whole country ransom and subjugated, I support Nnamdi Kanus campaign and believe the creation of Biafra will initiate healthy developmental regionalism where each region eats only what it worked for and deserves. The likes of Saraki wouldn't want that because they're enjoying from the rubbish structure and situation Nigeria is in. 6 Likes |

For the names you mentioned, I did not say there should be no musicians. if you read my comments (ask someone close to read it for u) I said at his age he should be developing his mind and encouraged to adopt a more beneficial talent. As an example of a path to a developed society. Useful knowledge. In Nigeria knowledge isn't so expensive, the least we can do is to encourage our younger ones to get knowledge that will make them competitive in tomorrows world. I used coding etc as an example. and if u say older ones don't flourish in engineering etc, shouldn't coming generations learn how to be better at it? |

But tell me this, How does that help his life when he can't even read or write his own name yet he's far richer? Also name me one ignorant illiterate musician who became rich and maintained his riches through investment. And is that what u pray for ur children, that they be rich ignorant entertainers? And is that how a country becomes great and relevant, with a rich but largely ignorant population? Also I am self employed, and u can be ur own boss when ure educated adequately. Education is got not only to look for jobs and sit behind a desk. With this new age the world is in, ignorance is a guarantee for poverty and irrelevance. Go back to school son |

What's the meaning of common poor criminals? If the source of his wealth is crime he's a common poor criminal. There should never be discrimination between prisoners. Rich or poor, they should all be treated equally behind bars. But in Nigeria somebody is expecting VIP treatment like the politicians get. Nonsense |

ugochukwufrenzy:Lol. Better thing? U call this better thing? Ur child, if at this age is singing like this, and say daddy this is what I want to be doing, will u encourage him and say na better thing? See, kids are observing our show of materialism and don't see the hard work necessary. That's why they are quick to embrace music cos they see its a sure way to have all that. And we are too short sighted and lazy to teach them the better way. Even if he wants to do music, shouldn't he be properly educated first then when his mind is properly developed he can decide if he wants music or what type of music. Then he will come up with good music. (Which is obviously lacking these days because of the mostly uneducated musicians roaming the studios). No other way for a nation to invest its future unless it educates its younger ones. 1 Like |

This is terrible and tragic. kids in developed nations are learning coding and programing. They show their talents in that sphere. Even developing nations are investing in their younger ones. Parents are ensuring their children learn useful skills, necessary for the jet age. look at us here. Our children are told that talents mean music and entertainment. We dont even fund schools anymore. This child who should be in school reading etc is speaking of 30 billion for akkant, Ferrari and Gucci. Wasting developmental years on useless forced 'talent'. It's sad that this is the future of Nigeria 34 Likes 5 Shares |

This is a fruit of the deal between the Senate and the presidency. dont you find it strangely coincidental that this comes shortly after the budget gets signed? The budget gets to pass through the Senate easily, in exchange for Sarakis acquittal. If the budget is further delayed, nothing can be achieved by the govt and the presidency/apc gets the blame. Keep in mind 2019 is close so the govt needs Sarakis cooperation. I know that Saraki is one of the major plagues infesting this country. He is arguably one of the most corrupt politicians (if not the most corrupt) in Nigeria's history, yet his intelligence and charisma keeps him under the radar. For real progress to be made in Nigeria, the likes of him need to be out of office |
