Politics / Re: Saharatv Buhari Walks Through Ariaria Market Today Amidst Cheers by Brahms(m): 5:56pm On Jan 09, 2015
SamIkenna:
[s]Igbos are one of the most peaceful people on earth. If reverse were the case in the present day Nigeria, a bomb or knife wielding core northerner would have sent the Igbo man, openly walking in predominantly Hausa-Fulani market, to his early grave.

The fear of a 'rampaging' Igbo is a myth 'owners of Nigeria' created after the civil war. Today, the wind is revealing who the real dangers are.

Anyways, the love, affection, and hospitality to Buhari as witnessed in Ariaria market should not be mistaken. In Igboland we respect accomplished people whether we love or hate them. In fact Ojukwu's statement that Awo was the best president Nigeria never had has gone down as the most apt and the most defining characterization of the man, Awo. Even the most irredeemable haters of Ojukwu or Awo agree to Ikemba's statement - that, my friends, is Igbo - in hate or love, Igbo will never withhold a man's due. To that end I have no doubt that majority of those Ariaria folks who trooped out to see their former head of state, a man who imprisoned Ekwueme for no reason, a man who imprisoned Ojukwu - Ojukwu was never part of Shagari's govt so what in world could have been the reason for jailing Ojukwu other than ethnic hatred exhibited by a supposedly national leader - will vote for GEJ in Feb.

In fact, if Buhari came to California today I would, certainly, go shake his hands and even dine with him if he cared. But I still will not vote for him and certainly will not let him go to Aso Rock. He deserves respect as an elderly statesman and a former head of state - that much I can give him. I wonder, though, if Buhari's supporters, friends, brothers up north are willing to show GEJ even a tenth of such respect.[/s]

You write pretty well, but what's your point??

Politics / Re: 2015: Nigerians Will Determine Our Action In The Oil Sector – APC by Brahms(m): 4:35pm On Jan 09, 2015
CHM11:
[s]And when the Majority ie Yoruba, hausa, Igbo decides what happens to 'OIL', the owners (south south) of the so called oil will be relegated to the back door as it was in the past.

I'm sorry, I don't think they will accept that again!!!!!!....

It has always been about oil, it will always be about oil...This is why other regions of the country have refused to develop their resources, the North have abandoned their farming, and the yorubas too don't do anything again as compared to years ago when they had stuffs they contributed to the nation......Now everybody's eye is directed to south south Nigeria....pathetic[/s]

You can do better than that.

INEC is disappointing Nigerians

It's their Plan B. My Brother registered in Sokoto during his NYSC, and he has been trying to do Voters Transfer. What they told us on Tuesday was that they are no more doing it. And we asked if we can Register afresh, the Man said we can't register either.

I'm disappointed!!

Those that have registered should go to the INEC hq in their local government. From what INEC said, distribution will end 31/01/15. As for those who are yet to register but of age, they should equally go to their respective INEC LG Hq to do that.

I think the story on ground is different. My Brother registered in Sokoto during his NYSC, and he has been trying to do Voters Transfer. What they told us on Tuesday was that they are no more doing it. And we asked if we can Register afresh, the Man said we can't register either.

Judgemental? I don't think so! I think I've been fair to Mr. Jones, if he was my friend I' wl tell him the same thing. His age and his past as a fmr cabinet member should have refined his mind and brain. We are talking of someone that has held federal position in the past being and acting bigoted. What example is he showing the youth? Ofcourse we have rogues in government positions, so I am not too surprised.

Oh! You still believe he's Femi Fani-Kayode? Get over it bro! Just like what EdCure said; stop being an antagonist.

BTW, you are too emotional.
