Could this be another blogger lie or is it really true? If this was reported about landlocked Niger Republic, it would have been easier to believe. But, while would a whole country with an access to the sea choose to become a state in another country? |
Big big big congrats Omoyemi! May you attain higher levels in your endeavors. Nigeria is filled with millions of great souls like you that are being held back by poor leadership. But then, it's such fire as we have in Nigeria that purifies gold. This is why I never miss any opportunity to tell the younger generations of Nigerians to believe in themselves and shoot for the stars ALWAYS. The BEST way to prove the failed older generations wrong is to KNOW the secrets they failed to know in order to achieve what they failed to achieve. "My people perish for a lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6). Cc: Lalasticlala Mynd44 |
istina:I agree with you, istina, and Aderr that our entrepreneurs need to learn to treat their staff better. However, from YOUR OWN perspective, I want you to view the poor treatment more positively because it will help you to be happier and more successful. As an employee (obviously), it will pay you to see those poor treatments as Nature telling you to start your own business. Then, those things that you see the so-called bosses doing wrongly, you do them right and you will rise to lead 'the bosses' instead of wasting your mental energy on hating them, getting bitter every morning of every work day, and remaining a poorly treated employee for life. Thanks. |
Royalty could become a cage for free spirits. People in the palace envy the freedom outside it. Famous people sometimes desire to have the freedom of being unknown even when they don't want to lose the power of fame. Every star has a scar. But, the worst of all situations remains poverty and powerlessness. It even makes you worthier of hell. So, get rich and powerful the right way and you'll be the happiest person on Earth. Meanwhile, Prince Harry only resembles his mom Princess Diana in being a free spirit. She also broke royal protocol. Some people even think that her death was arranged from the palace for "disgracing the royal family". Maybe, it's the hidden reason Harry chose to 'escape' to the US. |

If you guys were as serious as this about addressing the herders' menace, there would have been no ESN in the first place. We need LEADERS here. What we have now are DEALERS, using our lives to do business with the Fulani hegemony. How I wished that the younger generations of Nigerians would be smart enough to learn 'the Google Inc Secret' for a speedy transformation of personal/national economies. It is the one secret our older generations lack which is why they mostly lack personal fulfillment while running the country into a hole out of their stupidity. The younger generations of Nigerians must value knowledge or they will end up even worse than these thoughtless souls currently piloting the affairs of the country. |
Only the wise understand that there is more wealth in service than in stealing. I mean real wealth. These are tough questions that cannot be answered without heads rolling. I believe that the Lagos State Government cannot dodge the questions without losing enormous public confidence. Mynd44 Lalasticlala, Nigerians need to know that these questions were asked so that when they are not answered, they will also know. |
Beautiful! Good of them to encourage service mindset with the award. |
From the story you have told, you are not meant to be an employee. Rather, you'd do better by building your own business. All you need is to think of what you can do for people - something that benefits them enough as to stand in real need of you. Then, do it with the mind to actually satisfy the needs of your market. I'd like you to read this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/6423674/google-inc-secret-big-lesson |
AND, HOW DOES NIGERIA'S CASE COME INTO ALL THESE? A scripture states that, "the love of money is the root of all evil". I tell you, that scripture is true and I can't think of anywhere else that it is truer than in the history and the economy of Nigeria especially since independence. Nigeria is a place where greed for money has been doing inter-generational damages. For instance, a Nigerian child goes to school to get trained and be a force in the economy of the future. But when the child gets to school, greed for money makes the teachers to let him/her believe in cheating rather than in teaching. The child eventually cheats the process. But, it's actually himself that the child cheated because he stopped himself from acquiring the near-almighty power that knowledge gives to those who truly have it. But do you know who was cheated above all else here? All of us as a people are being cheated in those schools - because we are being robbed of a future generation that would have made us proud in our respective graves. We are being robbed of future scientists and technocrats that would have influenced human civilization enough to lead an era of it. The same robbery is taking place in the political life of the country. It's such that it's now become a culture that when people are getting into political offices, what dominates their minds is "I'M GETTING RICHER SOON" instead of “WHAT AN OPPORTUNITY TO BUILD UP MY CV WITH AN EXCELLENT SERVICE DELIVERY!" Ironically, the generality of Nigerians actually expect these public office holders to get superfluously richer by occupying those offices! Thus, if you occupy such offices without getting richer or leading a more flamboyant lifestyle than you had in your pre-office days, Nigerians tend to get angry at you (even YOU may probably have a case in mind right now; don't you?). YET, THE SAME PEOPLE EXPECT A BETTER COUNTRY - So funny ![]() The police also has become a synonym for "bribery" and "greed for money". It's why a poorly funded vigilante like ESN is earning far more popular confidence in the South-East than a police department funded with our oil hard currency and hard-earned tax. When Google was taking off in 1998, both of its founders were 25 years old. But they were advanced in their mentality enough to know the power of being EARNESTLY SERVICE-ORIENTED in business delivery. Now, I think that over 200 million Nigerians (about half of whom are 25 years and older) can learn from that TO ALWAYS PLACE SERVICE DELIVERY AHEAD OF MONEY-MAKING. Our barefaced greed for money is actually "the root of all evils" in Nigeria. Thank you. Please, click here to tweet this thread. |
That singular decision is what has brought Google thus far - "from the Garage to the Googleplex" as the company puts it officially. It is what the company now states as “OUR INTENTIONALLY UNCONVENTIONAL METHOD". They went ahead to be so faithful to this self-promise that it's still a popular saying among SEOs that "Google loves what the users love". What this means is that, if you want Google algorithms to favor you the most in your SEO (and even PPC) efforts, just save yourself a lot of troubles by having the best interest of Google users at heart. The company manifests this business principle so thoroughly that you don't need much understanding of corporate culture to see it live at every corner. To start with, theirs was the first search engine to use user-generated data to rank pages so that the pages more users are citing are made to appear at the top of the search results (now known as Page Rank or PR for short). Sometimes, I really marvel at values Google gives away with no strings attached whatsoever. Apart from the fact that most Google services are free of charge to the web public - which many web-based services now also do - Google's uniquely all-out service-orientedness is still to be seen in such services as YouTube, Blogger and Sites where anyone can sign up for absolutely free publication accounts and still have the right to permit or not permit Google to place ads on the published pages. THEY EVEN PAY YOU FOR GRANTING THEM THE PERMISSION! How else could a company practice "the customer is king" principle? (You can also read this: How To Get Loads of Free Customers Using Google My Business Listing - with Nigerian examples). One more post below... |
JUST A LITTLE DIFFERENCE OF ATTITUDE IS ALL GOOGLE BROUGHT TO THE MARKET: Look At It! I do a lot of studies on modern brands, and I have discovered the simple secret behind Google's speedy market dominance. Without going into much detail on this (to avoid wasting your time), the Google secret that I discovered can be referred to as helpfulness-orientedness in business operations. But you can listen to my brief explanation of it. Like every other startup ever, Google was certainly looking to make profits when they started in an obscure garage office in suburban Menlo Park, California. An investor wrote them a cheque of $100,000 and they rented their garage office space from a woman who later became their employee. "Clunky desktop computers, a ping pong table, and bright blue carpet set the scene for those early days and late nights" Google narrates on her official 'our story' page. But instead of thinking of the money to make in such a desperate situation, the young founders Larry and Sergey chose to think a bit differently. "Let all our focus be on what the users need or love" they agreed, "rather than the money we stand to make". Mind you, everyone was already preaching this but only Google seemed to have truly practiced it. More below.

THE GOOGLE INC SECRET: A BIG LESSON EVERY NIGERIAN SHOULD LEARN FOR A BETTER ECONOMY (PERSONAL OR NATIONAL) Looking at the way Google has completely dominated not only the search engine market but also the World Wide Web itself, it may be really hard to accept that the tech giant is barely 2 decades only in operation. But, for me, it is even harder to agree that Google was at least the 17th search engine ever created in the history of the Web that started around 1991 only. Within the six years (from 1991 to 1997), I have been able to count 16 search engines that were launched before Google was finally born in 1998. This number includes old-timers like Yahoo and Ask but does not include many of Google's contemporaries (such as MSN, Bing, Baidu, Yandex, and DuckDuckGo). BUT, HOW DID GOOGLE COME ALL THE WAY FROM THE 17TH POSITION TO OVERTAKE THE OTHER SEARCH ENGINES AND IS NOW VERY FAR FROM BEING OVERTAKEN BY ANY OF ITS CONTEMPORARIES (it has 92.47% global search market share as of January 2021 according to Statista)? This is the secret I discovered which you can see below to be all Nigerians need to know for the country to start doing well politically and economically (partly because it has all it takes to transform individual Nigerian economies en masse also). So, I share with those who care (below): ***** Please, click here to tweet this thread. |
Crimes are far more dangerous these days than ever before. Nigerians, please, let's believe in ourselves. It's more fulfilling and more permanent to make it legitimately. Let's shun crime completely, especially because it actually has little gains compared to being legit. |
Cpossibility:Buhari is not just here to cause a civil war. He is here to take Nigeria for his kinsmen across Africa. He is continuing the cause of Othman Dan Fodio. He is following in the footsteps of Ahmadu Bello to "dip the qr'an in the Atlantic". But don't be deceived: It's not actually the qr'an that they are trying to dip in the ocean (otherwise, Yoruba Muslims should also be able to head the Nigerian Muslim community). No, religion is only a victim here. It is being dragged into furthering a grand tribal agenda. These are not Islamization attempts per se. They are, first and foremost, Fulanization attempts. |
RuddyFusion:Yes, even in the well. But faith without action is dead. |
People can hate Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB for all I care (after all, even Jesus Christ and Prophet Muhammad were also hated in their times). There are other people who don't hate the fair prince but would disagree with him on issues of importance. That's OK too. I also differed with him when he took sides openly in the American partisan politics, which is now a very big clog in the wheel of the Biafran struggle. But, one thing no real human can disagree with Kanu on is that, fundamentally,... 1. He is fighting a just cause. 2. The interest he is trying to protect is OUR interest - all of us Nigerians (not just Igbo interest as it may seem to many of us). So, the cause that Kanu and IPOB are fighting should get our support unless we're stupid. As it stands, only the Fulani can refuse to support Kanu's activism without being as stupid as cows. See why: It's very very real that NIGERIA IS NOW UNDER A FOREIGN INVASION. It's also clear enough that, EVEN THE GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA IS NOW BEING CONTROLLED AT THE TOP BY NON-NIGERIAN ELEMENTS WITH ZERO PATRIOTIC ATTITUDE towards the country and countrymen. For those who haven't realized this, the Orlu Airstrikes should be a huge eye-opener side-by-side with the existence of Amotekun and Hisbah. How exactly? To avoid wasting your time, I will make my points briefly with these bulleted questions: * Why does this Government pay a deaf ear to the endless rascality of Hisbah in frequently destroying legitimate businesses and harassing law-abiding Nigerians (like the Benue barber) in the North? Which part of the constitution empowers Hisbah to do all that? And why is the Nigerian Government doing nothing to stop it? * But why does the same Government employ such a heavy military weight against ESN which, although unconstitutional (like Hisbah of course), does not disturb the peace of law-abiding Nigerians as Hisbah does. Instead, it actually exists to complement the constitutional role of Government in terms of security against killer herders? * Why is it that the Fulani militia proscribed by the global terrorism watch-dog GTI in September 2015 is yet to be proscribed by the Nigerian Government after 6 years of frequently killing, raping, maiming, kidnapping, and openly threatening Nigerians? Why is it that the members of this globally recognized TERRORIST militia are regularly escaping justice at the hands of this Government? *But, why did the same government so readily proscribe a far less violent group (IPOB) and are always out to attack them with top military options? * Why is it that Amotekun, a security outfit literally funded by a group of state governments, is very ineffective in protecting the lives and property of South-Westerners (thereby making it necessary for fellows like Sunday Igboho to come into the picture)? * And why is a relatively poorly funded ESN obviously far more effective in protecting the citizens within their jurisdiction than the government-funded Amotekun? THE ANSWER TO THE ABOVE QUESTIONS IS SIMPLE: THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT AT THE TOP IS UNDER THE CONTROL OF NON-PATRIOTIC, NON-NIGERIAN ELEMENTS. THAT CAN ONLY HAPPEN IN A COUNTRY THAT IS UNDER A FOREIGN INVASION. So, what can we do in this ugly situation to forestall future regrets? In my next article, I will be sharing a unique insight I got on HOW NIGERIANS CAN BREAK LOSE FROM THIS FOREIGN DOMINATION BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE. Thanks. |
It's true. A typical Nigerian would rather enjoy to complain about problems than to prevent them or proffer solutions to them. It's really a psychiatric epidemic in the country and it is the major cause of all our problems as a country. Unfortunately, the same reason why many Nigerians won't agree with her is the reason why it happens: The noise culture in Nigeria makes many Nigerians shallow thinkers. You see a very BIG problem coming like a train and you are warning Nigerians against it, but many people will prefer to be engrossed in inter-tribal verbal wars instead. For instance, prior to the 2015 elections, Buhari already manifested all the signs of all that he has been doing as the Nigerian President. AIT even did a daily documentary to make Nigerians think. But it all fell on deaf ears. Yet, now, the same people would tell you that they regret supporting a Buhari Presidency. Then, they enjoy to call Buhari all the unprintable names in the world. What can those dirty talks now contribute to the situation at hand? Of course, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, except that most Nigerians just enjoy the cheap shallow dirty talks. How I wished we could change our attitude. |
theFilmtric:Rather, it's going to be Fulani vs the rest. |
If you haven't learned to tolerate people, you are still a kid in your mindset. |

4. So, LEARN TOLERANCE AND BE HAPPIER AND RICHER Have you noticed that, in most relationships that you have ended, it was because you felt unfairly treated by another person who also felt unfairly treated by you? Yet, as long as the world continues to exist, THERE WILL NEVER BE ANY PERFECT PERSON ANYWHERE. So, you'd better stopped pretending as if you were faultless in all those relationships. Therefore, make up your mind TODAY to always make room in your heart to tolerate other people with their faults. As you make room for everyone in your heart, you will soon have a very large heart, which I consider as the greatest secret of happiness available to humans (I mean, large-heartedness). Trust me, no one was born with a large heart. Instead, we were all born selfish. As kids, we craved all the attention we could get. We all thought that our moms were the only moms in the world. As we grew older, our moms became the first and the best among other moms. Our dads also were the strongest dads in the world. But while some people choose to outgrow this childish stupidity, other people choose to remain babies for life by always insisting on their myopic rights of way - tribally, religiously, genderly, etc. Thus, they become babies in achievement also. THE UNAVOIDABLE BITTER TRUTH IS THAT THIS IS EXACTLY WHY MANY OF US ARE UNHAPPY IN OUR RESPECTIVE ROMANTIC LIVES... AND WHY MANY ARE POOR SINCE THEY CAN'T SUSTAIN BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS AS WELL. And how easy can it be for any of us to begin to make room in our hearts for everyone? I must admit that it is not the easiest of the things you can do. But, if you consider the following points, it can even turn into a fun to have. Tell yourself as follows: 1. I also have faults that other people need to tolerate. So, why can't I tolerate other people? (pause and think about this). 2. Tolerating other people makes ME happier and richer. So, it's not really about them. It's actually about ME first and foremost. (again, pause and think about this). Thank you everyone. |
DO YOU KNOW THAT... ? 1. If Mary was born as Michael, she would have had male tendencies instead of female. 2. If Michael was born as Mary, he would have had female tendencies instead of male. 3. If Abdul was born and raised by Christian parents in Enugu, he could have been a Christian named Andrew. 4. If David was born and raised by Muslim parents in Kano, he could have been a Muslim named Dauda. 5. If Chidiebere in Umuahia was born to Yoruba parents in Osogbo, she could have been named Anuoluwapo? (both names mean that God is merciful). There are numerous other "if" cases like this... |
3. THE BITTER LESSON See, we can catch fun here right now by exposing each other (the two genders I mean). But there is a serious lesson we need to learn from this or else we will have to learn it the bitter way through our respective romantic and business relationship failures. That lesson is that we all have faults that other people need to tolerate for life to keep running smoothly. Therefore, we should tolerate other people. If we do this, it's going to make our lives more smooth-running, happier, and even wealthier. For instance, if you have a service business, you will need to serve both male and female clients from a wide range of backgrounds and temperaments. So, if you lack a tolerant attitude, you won't be able to put up with a good number of them. This way, you can only be losing business deals after business deals again and again and again and again. So, how will you make the money then? A similar thing will also be happening in your romantic connections, thereby, making you have a sad shattered life everywhere you go. In fact, I can bet that most of us here have had enough bitter lessons to show for this clear childishness in our inter-gender judgmental attitudes. Must we continue to suffer from a problem whose solution we already have? Of course no, unless we are fools at forty. So, let's learn the wisdom of tolerance. It is the product of a compassionate understanding of other people. We can understand the lack in other people knowing that we ourselves lack certain things other people have. The fact that I lack x while you lack y shouldn't make us forget that, ultimately, lack is lack. |
2. AND THEN, THE INTER-GENDER WAR TEARING OUR ROMANTIC JOY APART... Is it not a common thing everywhere (such as here on Nairaland) that the guys would talk about the faults of ladies as if guys don't have faults generally associated with them? And, don't the ladies do a similar thing towards the guys? Guys, let's be honest, don't we have very bad faults generally associated with us all because too many of us are guilty of them? Ladies, feel free to expose the guys a little if they ever try to deny this obvious fact. What are the faults that most guys are known for? Please, tell us. OK, I'm sure that the ladies have the absolute right to expose the guys because the ladies don't have their own gender-identifiable faults, right? Wrong. Guys over to you. Expose them if they try to hide. |
1. THE HYPOCRISY OF SELFISH INTOLERANCE Just imagine! Everybody seems to think that they are better than other people. But, how can everyone be better than everyone else? We all know that this can never be true, yet, most of us behave as if it was true. See how we behave as if it was true: we are more likely to gossip about other people's faults than we talk about our own faults. Think about that: Don't we all have our respective faults? Of course we do. So, why do most of us so much prefer to dwell on other people's faults than our own faults? Imagine such a stupid attitude that most of us carry about! At the tribal or racial levels, we frequently manifest this crass foolishness as well. For example, Yorubas like to talk about the bad traits of Igbos and Igbos do the same towards Yorubas. Hardly do you see Igbos honestly denouncing the known faults of Igbos as a people or Yorubas denouncing Yoruba known faults. The same applies to Fulani, Hausa, Efik, Ebira, Edo, Itsekiri, Anang, Ijaw, Ibibio, Tiv, Idoma, Igede, Nupe, etc, etc, etc. Each of these tribes have faults that are generally associated with them. Yet, people from each tribe often try to expose how bad the OTHER tribe is while trying all their best to hide their own bad sides. In religion, Muslims will often like to reel out the faults of Christians, choosing to keep a lid over their own faults. And, don't Christians do the same thing to Muslims as well? |
END THE INTER-GENDER WAR FROM THE CORE: Exposing The Little 'Demon' Destroying Most Relationships I got this unique insight and shared it on another platform I run. So, I thought it wise to share it here also because it will really really save many relationships out there. Well, we're talking about ALL relationships here: romantic, inter-personal, business relationships, etc. Make sure you read to the end or you will miss the main point. I will divide them up into short posts to avoid overwhelming you. |
Welcum:OK thanks, we'll soon continue from where we stopped. |
