If you have ever dreamed of getting a Harvard education, you can take advantage of this opportunity. The prestigious Harvard College in partnership with Harvard Fellows in various fields of endeavor is offering free courses to the members of the public. The courses range from Humanities to social sciences to AI, data science, accounting, even health and medical sciences, and more. They are all given in English and include video transcripts. Some of them do not qualify you to earn certificates. Others have certificates attached at a fee. Whether certified or not, I recommend these courses to Nigerian students, graduates, and workers. They have what it takes to expand your horizon. The Bible said that "my people perish for lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6). Accordingly, one of the biggest problems we have in Nigeria is a lack of exposure to the kind of knowledge trending in the world. Whoever you are, as long as you have your family in the country known as 'Nigeria' on the world map, this is a must-read for you. It doesn't matter if you are Arewa, Biafra, Oduduwa, or whoever else. I'm inspired with a message this evening. It's about how we can all give something that will cost us nothing in order to bring better fortunes to Nigeria. It's also about WHY we need to do so. But, before delivering my simple message, I want YOU to put these two points at the back of your head: 1. When we say 'Nigeria', we're MAINLY talking about the people (children, boys, girls, young men, young women, old men, and old women). The primary meaning of that name 'Nigeria' does not refer to the landscape or the houses, or whatever else, but the people (including YOUR family members). 2. Nigeria does not belong to the politicians or the terrorists or anyone else but to YOU and ME. If anything, the evil politicians and the terrorists are thieves (not owners) of the country. They steal what belongs to us and use it against us. So, if someone stole what belongs to YOU, what should you do? Should you leave your property for the thief, or should you try anything you can to take back what belongs to you? Of course, you know the answer. Now, the above two points have answered the question of why we should change Nigeria for good. Even if we finally decide to go our separate ways, we should first put our house in order. Otherwise, the problems we left unsolved in the parent country will follow us to our respective new countries. NOW, HOW CAN WE START TO CHANGE NIGERIA FOR GOOD? Here's the answer I'm here to give: Bruce Lee is quoted as once saying as follows: Don't speak negatively about yourself, even as a joke. Your body doesn't know the difference. Words are energy and (they) cast spells. That's why it's called 'spelling'. Change the way you speak about yourself and you can change your life. WHAT YOU ARE NOT CHANGING, YOU ARE ALSO CHOOSING.I know that there are verses in the Bible and the Qr'an that say the same thing that the martial artist Bruce Lee is quoted as saying above. But, I'm careful not to quote from a religious book to avoid certain prejudices. Well, I'm using that quote to talk to us as Nigerians from all regions and religions. We have the power to start changing Nigeria for good, and that power lives in our INDIVIDUAL hearts and mouths. One of our major problems as a people is that we emphasize religion without emphasizing spirituality which should be the soul of religion. The power of religion is the spirituality in it. We may be divided at the level of religion. But, at the level of spirituality, we are always united. So, let's start changing Nigeria for good by uniting at the level of spirituality against our REAL enemies. Igbos and Yorubas are not enemies. North and South are not enemies. Christianity and Islam are not enemies. The only enemies we have are the THIEVES against the OWNERS of the land. With that understanding, I invite every Nigerian to change our language regarding the country. Start saying GOOD things about the country, and BAD things against her enemies. If you do otherwise, you are cutting your nose to spite your face. You know why? See why: If anything happens to Nigeria, it is happening to YOU, YOUR FAMILY, YOUR PROPERTY, YOUR FRIENDS, YOUR BUSINESS, ETC. For instance, if war breaks out or fuel sells at N1,000 a liter, or $1 exchanges at N2,000 due to poor leadership, who suffers from the situation? Isn't it you? PRACTICALS: LET'S START NOW I urge every Nigerian to say something like this every morning FROM YOUR HEART before you eat: May it be well with Nigeria and Nigerians (3 times). Let everything turn against those hatching secret plans that will disconcert Nigeria and Nigerians (3 times)I beg us to do this every morning. If you belong to a religion, you can do it as a part of your daily morning prayer. Otherwise, you can do it believing your spirit. It boils down to the same thing. Now, I beg us to start doing this right here and now by you typing your support to the above affirmation/prayer. For instance, if you are religious, your support could be as simple as a HEARTY "amin" or "amen". Thank you all.

2plurse:I just wrote this because of you https://www.nairaland.com/6663720/5-simple-steps-starting-successful#103979921 |
Below is my heartfelt advice for anyone looking to start a new business. Take time to read and digest it, and thank me later on when you see the result. Follow these 5 simple steps to your stupendous success: STEP 1 Don't be in a haste. Relax your mind completely. Go to a nice and quiet place ALONE and give yourself a little treat and RETREAT. I mean that you should spoil yourself but without spending too much. Let everything you do at this step be geared towards helping you to relax COMPLETELY. If it means checking into a hotel room for a night in a veeeeery quiet neighborhood, please do. STEP 2 Once your mind is fully relaxed, ask yourself ONE question: "What can I do for other people better than most people can?" The thing you can do for others better than many may be due to your location, the kind of people you are connected with, your talent, or any other factor. After asking the question, don't bother to answer it. Instead, just stay there as if you are a fool who doesn't care. In fact, try to forget about the question. Don't worry, "a time waster has his plans" as one saying puts it. See what will happen... Eventually, the answer to the question you asked yourself will come by itself from your subconscious mind. It may come now or later. It can even come while you are sleeping at night. And, blessed are you if an idea wakes you up in the middle of the night. STEP 3 Once you get a clear answer to that question from inside your own HEART, you have discovered a big treasure. The next step is to sit down and prepare a fully detailed business plan. Very very important. Your business plan must be based on the answer you got to the above question. I used to think that a business plan was only a document used to convince investors. But no. Instead, from my experience writing business plans, I discovered that its main use is to guide YOU (the business owner) through the steps to follow, everything to expect along the way, and how to approach it. A good business plan is a road map. It helps you to see the business 'road' you are about to travel before you actually go through it. So, it saves you from a lot of shocks. Therefore, I advise you to pay your business plan every attention you can muster. If you need someone to assist, don't be ashamed to seek assistance. It may be that you don't have the time or the skill. Well, no one has it all and no one is an island as we all know. I tell you, whatever time or resource you spend preparing your business plan is the best investment you will ever make into that business. See why: Eventually, that time investment is what will save you huge amounts of money, time, embarrassment and so much more. That's why I take time brainstorming with my business plan clients face to face or on Whatsapp before I think about writing even ONE word. THE RULE: A good business plan shouldn't be much volume. It should be much substance and simple to read through. STEP 4 Once your business plan is ready, go for a second retreat where you read through it little by little (not as if you are preparing for an exam but as if you are playing a game). Again, you can check into a quiet hotel room for a day in order to do this - in case you might be distracted at home. STEP 5 Start implementing the business plan. In doing so, put service ahead of money. I have a saying which I plagiarized from Jesus Christ: "Seek first to serve and much money will be added unto you without struggling". It's what I call the Google Inc Secret and which I wrote about on this thread. Feel free to air your views on this or ask me questions. If you prefer to talk with me privately, you can get my contact info in my profile. It's my great passion to help businesses succeed. |

madridguy:Stop supporting evil. It will affect your generations yet unborn. |
If you see what others can't see, they'll call you mad. The problem with Igbos is that they see what other Nigerians can't see. That's why they rejected Buhari 3 times. I think that other Nigerians need to humble themselves and accept that Igbos see more clearly than the rest. |
