Bawss1:Probably one of those that are of the opinion that Movies and TV series are one and the same. They call everything movies. Lolz. |
Tolzeal:Yeah, it was entertaining. Loved the visual effects. Don't care much about the plot though. Far from being the best movie of the year. That accolade should be given to The Most Wanted Man. The last time I watched a movie like the later was 4 years ago, and it went on to win 4 oscars. |
Jskelly11:Dude, I'm calm. Just bemused is all. |
Kezifils:I made it as a rule never to read critic reviews before watching a movie. That way, I can form my own opinion. It's only after watching it that I can then read what the critics said about it and see if it corresponds with mine. Unfortunately, Hercules Reborn had gotten tainted by what I'd seen while Googling it. Poor ratings and bad reviews. Never gonna watch it now. |
lovelyronke20:Had already left, till you foolishly caught my attention by quoting me, thereby forcing my to come back and point out your foolish ways to you. |
Kezifils:Nah. Used to think they are one and the same till I googled Reborn just now to discover it's totally different from the one that I'd seen. |
Kezifils:I meant Hercules 2014. The one Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson played Hercules. The fight scenes are off the chain. Reminiscent of Troy |
UFC scripted?? Lots of ignorant folks in this thread. Why did I even bother? |
bigblangston:Dude, Wikipedia is your friend. Mixed martial arts (MMA) is as real as boxing and kick boxing. You're only laughing at your own ignorance. |
RaphaellaDD:Believe it or not, all the WWE performers are actors. A quick visit to their respective wiki pages will have you eating your words. They were all described as professional wrestlers and actors. They are superstars in their own rights and that's why they can easily make the transition from entertainment wrestling to starring in Hollywood blockbusters. Do you know what makes something a sport? When 2 or more individuals compete for a prize and the spectators - including the competitors themselves - aren't privy to whom is coming out tops until the final whistle. Anything that falls outside that circle surely cannot be described as a sporting event. If you want real sports where adversaries beat the living crap out of each other without having to worry about following a script, then tune in to ESPN3 HD every Sunday and watch hardcore UFC live action. |
Mods should move this thread to the TV/Movie section, cuz WWE is not a sport. It's actually the longest running TV series on the planet as of today. Like a typical TV series, it has cast (The wrestlers), Director and script writer (Triple H), Executive producer (Stephanie McMahon), and Vince McMahon (Show runner). The performers follow a script and all the wins and losses are predetermined. Like most of high budgeted TV series for example "Alias", the moves and stunts are real enough, but some of the injuries are fake though, craftily manufactured by the head honchos to give some of their top stars a window to starr in movies without raising questions. I repeat: WWE is a TV show not a sport. |
Lot of boring movies this year, but I definitely liked Dawn of the planet of apes and Hercules 2014. Xmen: Days Of Future Past ain't bad either. |
sophieabou:Speak for yourself. Only a tiny percentage, most of whom are females have what can be termed 'questionable interest' in Korean TV series. Don't mean to sound racist, but I find it counterproductive trying to tell one bloke from the next, coupled with the fact that their language sounds offensive to the ears, almost like cuss words. Believe me, not a lot of people are watching Korean shows. |
tapingil:Dude, Grey's anatomy has been around for years, and if you haven't watched it up to season 4 to 5 by now, then, with all due respect, it would serve you best to butt out for your own good, cos the thread and spoilers go hand in hand. People come here to discuss the shows they have seen or yet to see. Again I apologize for spoiling Boardwalk empire for you, but you should have known better. #Peace |
naijababe:I don't think she's a biitch. Have you met her Mother? The constant way she made her feel inadequate? Or the way her father abandoned her at an early age to start a brand new family? The sense of rejection, and inadequacy she had to grew up with? Considering, I think she turned out pretty great. Derek thought so too. |
tapingil:Oops! I'm sorry folks, I sincerely wish I can take it back. But really, you don't honestly expect Nucky to walk away unscathed, do you? There is something known as Karma. One can't really outrun his or her past transgressions, no matter how hard they try. |
Finally done with Boardwalk Empire. Too bad Nucky Thompson died in the end. |
WWE can be liken to a typical Jackie Chan Movie. The stunts are real, some of the injuries and pain genuine, but bottom line, it's purely for entertainment purposes and thus, well scripted. |
Why did Shonda make her such a b1tch?!
