I still ask, what was Jonathan's offense to Tinubu and his supporters still supporting Tinubu today?

It is clear: Tribalism, they just hated him because he wasn't from their tribe and political partner in crime like the Islamic north...

Tinubu cannot do more than 2 terms. You know it. First, the constitution would have to be amended for that to happen, secondly, old age has caught up him.

Obasanjo did not succeed with his tenure elongation plan, Tinubu also would not . Even his supporters would turn against him if he ever nurses such ambition.

I saw this comment by the user and I was amused. It was not just Tinubu and his supporters that Jonathan 'offended'. If you remember clearly, Jonathan also offended the northerners. So his offense was against the northerners and the south-westerners. Interestingly, their agitation against Jonathan's 'offense' was not against bad government but against 'exclusion' from national cake.

If you understand Nigeria in its entirety, you would come to the inference that Nigeria is a country that no one loves. I mean that the constituting nations or what we call tribes do not love the country the whiteman created for them, but they love the largesse they're getting from it. Whether the northerners or the southwesterners, their interest in Nigeria is the free oil and gas in the southeast and southsouth part of the country and so anything stopping anyone from their regions (north and west) from being in the position of looting these wealth for the north or southwest as the case may be is an offense. That was why they hated Jonathan and would hate anyone from these regions bearing the wealth of the country.

Look at the ongoing killings in the north and southwest. Are they complaining? No. Why? Because the persons at the center were from the north (Buhari) and the west (Tinubu). Bandits, terrorists and what have you can wipe out whole communities and you wouldn't hear 'pim'. You know why? They're 'looting'.

In as much as I presently do not see any candidate winning Tinubu in 2027, not because I don't see any good candidate among them but because I believe Tinubu will rig the election.

Honestly speaking I grew up in the south west, Lagos to be precise. Back in the days of 90s and 2000s, discrimination and marginalization wasn't this pronounced.
I don't know how politicians used divide and rule to divide and cause problem between south east and west. But it's what it's, our eastern brothers too are not helping matters with their bossing attitude. They want to boss everybody anywhere they are.
And talking about having our own country, I haven't seen anything our present leaders have done to warrant hoping for the best if we eventually separate.
