PoliticsRe: SWDC: Senate Approves Bill Creating South West Development Commission by Brendaniel: 1:13pm On Sep 26, 2024
Has any state in Nigeria received half of the investment Lagos has received from the federal government of Nigeria ?

Not even Abuja has received up to what Lagos has received, former FCT for 77 years, they say to whom much is given much is also expected, so spare us that bull-sheet, what we should be talking about is cutting cost of governance and not bloating it, all the other commissions created in the past, what have they done for their regions?

Tinubu is just creating offices to settle cronies and expand his political structure

I don’t know why it’s so hard to have an intelligent conversation with you ipob fools.

How does the two relate? You accused the current CJN of corruption and I asked if you have any prove to substantiate your allegations, now you telling about onnoghen, you lot and whataboutism are 5&6

If onnoghen was alleged to be corrupt before his appointment, do you think buhari would have appointed him? Pls tick to the topic and prove the allegations against CJN kekere Ekun of shut the F up angry
The corruption of Onnoghen is still being challenged in court but Buhari removed him on mere allegations and you supported it...

now this woman has the same mere allegations before appointment unlike Onnoghen you claimed happened after appointment and yet you support her...

let me ask you a question;

which is harder to do ?

To remove somebody based on mere allegations after appointment or to not appoint someone based on mere allegations ?

but yet your hypocrisy supports one over the other because of tribe ...

There is a recent update that the case has been settled out of court 7 days ago, however he was removed on corruption allegations as Kekere Ekun has been accused of and no investigation has been done on her

Tell Tinubu to prove us wrong, what end are you talking about? is it how Buhari ended his administration that you supported for 8 years that Tinubu is already towing same path?

Let me just give a clue, we won't beg anybody or region to vote whoever the Igbos support in 2027 and we will be very arrogant about it,this is not even about Peter Obi, we don't care anymore who you people vote for, you guys have been doing it back to back from Buhari to Tinubu.

Or you think Igbos not joining the protest is because we love Tinubu?

no, we don't care anymore , you guys can elect anyone you want and destroy the country if you want, we will jejely walk away when you guys have finished destroying the country....

Why are these Obidients attacking everyone left and right on every discussion. Why are they acting as if what's happening today is for those that did not support Peter Obi alone or they think this attack and abuse will make anyone change his or her direction towards voting him in the next election. Why can't these set of people maintain decorum? Why are they always uncourt, indiscipline and very rude? They think we the rest don't know what we are doing and that they are the set of people to change the narration of this country. It's a pity we have these set of people in our society.
But do you really know what you are doing ?

sincerely ask yourself , after supporting Buhari for 8 years you fought the same people the way you are fighting for Tinubu and you want us to believe you know what you're doing?

If these rhetoric questions (attached below is your comment) are not an insult to you then you must be a retard . Now ,before I use the word "retardation" ,show me where I insulted you .

Using France and UK is a simple analogy and a trap that I set . France and UK are not in the same country but they still want to kill each other and have engaged themselves in several wars . Which means that even if Nigeria disintegrated, there will still be "international wars and confrontations" between former Nigeria ethnic nations . Therefore, disintegration is not the solution to wars and confrontations,it will only amplify the tension .

Also,we've seen countries that are heterogeneous like Canada that are still coexisting and even countries like UK where Ireland don't want Britain and wants to kill them and vice versa and even Russia with the Chechnya . This reminds me of USSR that disintegrated but now they're killing each other. Russia vs Ukraine, Azerbaijan vs Armenia .

I made no excuse for either the Hausa/Fulanis or the Igbos that we always have issues with but if we are still one country ,we can be tolerance of each other and look at the bright sides while we continue to resist the bad sides . Life is Ying Yang , there are certain evil perks that comes with every good things .

I owe you no explanation to my position on Nigeria status but I remember we've engaged each other several times and in one of them I've advocated for iron hands against the fulanis .
So are you saying you dont know the difference between a question and an insult, go back and read the screenshot you posted and see the see the question mark of the sentence.

I was expecting you to point out the insultive words I used to you but you quickly ran to pick a simple question I asked you that you have refused to answer...

You asked me to show you the insults you threw at me, I'm not like you who use insults to talk at every given opportunity, and I will tell you why people like you throw insults a lot , you want to deflect from the real points, you want to twist the whole issue to your Favour and use it as a defense when your points hold not water....

You don't know me, I watch my words carefully, I don't throw insults anyhow, I'll rather make my points without insults and prove to you with evidence...

1. You insulted first which it's a sign of low intelligence. - Lie and Insult.

2. your retardation didn't allow you to grab my whole comment.

So yo can see that you lied, show me one insultive word I have used since we started or you remain a liar...

There was no trap in your statement, England and France are not one country, even if they are fighting each other they are fighting as united countries of themselves which is an advantage, not like Nigeria that you personally cannot fight the Fulanis because of the Constitution....

You don't even have any rights to send them away from your land, if your assertion was right why is Ghana and Benin republic not been killed by the Fulanis like the way they are doing in Nigeria?

You see that your analogy is very wrong....

do you think the Fulanis don't want to kill people there too?

So your plan is to keep tolerating the killings of your people as a solution to have the country united ?

Because you have not shared any solution that will stop the killing of your people to keep the country one...

Since you claim you know how to handle the unity of Nigeria, kindly tell me how you will stop the killings of your people by the Fulanis?

You insulted first which it's a sign of low intelligence.

Before integration ,others, especially the fulanis have been trying to kill us and take our lands . They're only hiding under another form which is Fulani herdsmen (which is quite problematic cos it will be difficult to launch open scale war against them due to one Nigeria). After disintegration, they won't stop and it might worsen ( but we are there to stop them) .

In every relationship or marriage, there's always infirmities. The wife might like to leave the light on but the husband might like to leave it off same as several other things . Will they break up or divorce because of their differences? The Yorubas have been doing well for themselves since millennials and Nigeria amalgamation is a setback to us .

France and UK have always tried to kill each other but that doesn't mean they don't belong to the same organisations like NATO .

Mind you ,I prefer Nigeria disintegration but if we are still tNigeria...,we can only be optimistic and look at the bright sides while we continue to resist the infirmities or aggression of others so that we can maintain balance.
Firstly show me where I insulted you and if you can't then you are a liar and you have been lying about all your points, you have been insulting since the beginning of our conversation and I can show you all your insults...

Secondly you claim people are kiling you and want to take over your land yet you have the option of leaving them and you don't want to...

You talked about France and England, look at what you are using to compare with what is going on here, is France and England in the same country?

You used NATO as an example? What exactly is wrong with you guys?

Farnce and England are 2 separate countries just like Ghana and Nigeria, Ghana and Nigeria are members of ECOWAS does it make them 1 country like Fulanis and Yorubas in Nigeria...

Do we share 1 constitution with Ghana because we are members of ECOWAS?

Then after giving all your excuses that doesn't even relate with the issue, at the tail end of your write up you are claiming you prefer the disintegration of Nigeria....

If you actually prefer the disintegration of Nigeria you wont be giving excuses for people killing you and your people and still willing to killing you and more of your people...

Prove me wrong with just 1 post you've made on Nairaland clamoring for the disintegration of Nigeria at any point in time...

Prove me wrong again with just 1 post showing that you clamored for the retaliation to the Fulanis at any point in time they killed your people...

Prove me wrong please or you remain a liar..

nlreserve:
I'm honestly heartbroken. How can we call ourselves one Nigeria when tribalism is still tearing us apart, especially when it comes to something as crucial as education?

My brother, a hardworking student of a university in the South West, applied for the NELFUND student loan at the same time as his Yoruba coursemate. Both of them are struggling with the increased tuition fees imposed by the government. But while his coursemate’s loan was swiftly approved, my brother’s application is still pending. What’s even more painful according to him is that every single Yoruba student who applied got their loan without any issues, while Igbo students like my brother are left hanging, waiting, and hoping for some relief.

This isn't fair. The hardship in Nigeria affects us all. Everyone needs support, no matter where they’re from or what language they speak. Yet, it seems like tribalism has found its way into a program that was supposed to help us all equally. How do we justify this?

I’m calling on NELFUND and the Nigerian government to look into this. If we truly want to build a united country, we must treat every Nigerian fairly—whether Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, or any other tribe. We’re all struggling, and we all deserve a chance to succeed.
If it is true as you claimed, the earlier you recognize the kind of people you are sharing country with the better you will be prepared to handle them, sorry for your brother's disappointment....

Tinubu is destroying the unity of Nigeria with tribalism...

Is that what you got from my comment ?

Let me clarify it .

Everybody want SW :that is, every ethnic groups want to either claim SW or displace the indigenous inhabitants. It happened during the Fulani war and during the Biafra war but failed and it will continue to fail .

I prefer The Yorubas standing alone : the Yorubas have been doing well for themselves and have built at least two empires and several kingdoms before the amalgamation.

The amalgamation setback the Yorubas development.

Nigeria as a platform is more resourceful than Yoruba as a platform: Nigeria comprises different resources from Human to natural that if well harnessed will benefit individuals more than what they can get in their respective ethnic nations .

Am I in support of the atrocities committed by other ethnic groups against my ethnic group ? Of course the answer is no ! But I understand that we are not one but forced together by "superior power" . Also ,I understand there's infirmities in such union but we can only apply diplomacy until it can no longer be resolved by jawjaw.

I also understand that each ethnic groups have several tribes, the fulanis have Tuareg,Bororo etc ,the Igbos have several tribes ,same applies to the Yorubas . In the Yorubas for instance ,we only became peaceful just before the invasion of the British, there's civil wars for 16 years . Same applies to other ethnicities. What's my point ,even if we break up ,the disparity and chaos will only devolve into intra ethnic and evolve into international chaos with neighbours.

What's my position? "Anyone" that attacked my ethnic group while hiding under the umbrella of one Nigeria should be attacked but anyone that pursue peace with my people should be attended to with peace .
Does your whole write up make any sense to you?

why live with people who are killing you and wait for them to kill you first before you retaliate when you can simply avoid any killings by having your own country ?
