There was no single intelligent reporting indicating that but just some few personal interest.
They said when somebody made the suggestion at the security meeting everyone including the president was shocked but they later convince the president privately and the rest is history.

Blakjewelry: Kò It's all about international politics, Venezuela is getting too close to China and Russia so us actually wanted him out and put a us friendly president.
The last elections, us actually backed the opposition but mudaro won which the US claim it was rigged hence the problem.
US recently said it will impose 25% tarrif on any nation buying Venezuelas oil, off cause many nation back out, but China who is immune to us tarrif saw an opportunity and just recently sign a mega deal that will see them get the oil at a discount well into the future as they are the sole buyer.
So you see the trade war between the US and China is rubbing off on many countries .
Nigeria too is getting too close to China which doesn't sit well with the US, the US is weaponizing the dollar which is making many nations to seek alternative in china which is a problem for the US business wise.
Is trump himself a Christian in the true sense, some of the strong us allies are core Muslim state with strong Islamic rule but the US doesn't see anything. There may be some political sides to it but I don't think it is all about that. |

2. prosecute any parent who refuses to send the child to school
3. Prosecute any parent who refuses to cater for the needs of his child
4. Arrest any Islamic teacher who teaches hate and jihad.
5. Abolish Shariah and arrest anyone who advocates for it.
6. Start doing things especially in government based on merit
7. Stop using government funds to sponsor any religious projects
8. Start prosecuting sponsors of terrorism
9. Start giving orientation to their people about education, child birth and family planning.
10. Start fighting terrorism genuinely and open programs for fighters who wish to stop on skill acquisition and empowerment. |

Looks like Trump is looking for a regime change, exactly what is really needed right now in Nigeria, for those who are talking about U.S coming to take oil from Venezuela, I'm not ruling that out, but I don't think that's the interest here, ask yourself a country with the largest oil reserves in the world is so poor and also if the oil was so profitable for them, why are the youths more into drug sales than oil?
Here it is:
1. The sulfur content in Venezuelan oil is one of the highest in the world making it harder and more costly to refine, so it is not attractive for buyers in the world like the Nigerian crude oil and some others, you see why it may not really make sense for the U.S to invade them for something that is not rushed after like others.
2. If a government is seen to be complicit in support of terror or drugs that is affecting the U.S directly then that could be another point, I saw some people mentioning Mexico in the other thread, but Mexico has recently improved their crackdown on drug cartels, though a lot of work still needs to be done and also have been partnering with U.S to take down cartels, I don't think it is the same with Venezuelan government.
3. Cartels know that these drugs come with addiction to the users and there are cases where they lure people with samples for free and the addiction starts which causes them to start stealing and wrecking their lives for the supply.
My question to those seeking Maduro to stay in power, I mean what exactly is the benefit of him staying in power while the country keeps sinking and getting poorer, their inflation was so bad at some point, they stopped counting money in supermarkets, they just bring a scale and weigh your money and give you the item you purchase, price of goods were now sold by weight of the money and not the value.
I even watched a prison documentary and if you think Nigerian prison is bad then you need to visit Venezuela, the prisoners carry guns inside the prison, they have their own police, they have their president and even court, prisoners sentence prisoners inside the prison, some prisoners don't want to leave the prison because it is safer for them due to cartel members looking for them to kill outside.
I notice a lot of people not supporting Trump are Tinubu supporters because they don't want same happening in Nigeria to Tinubu who is doing damage to Nigeria.

Or who in his reasonable mind would expect a terrorist or prostitute to walk into a bank and say they want to pay their taxes for prostitution or terrorism, straight forwardness and Tinubu are like word and opposite

Namaster: No, it's NOT.

Their current Congress is a RUBBER-STAMP Legislative akin to what we have in Nigeria.
This SCAMMER whose format is religion is just saying RUBBISH.
Like many SCAMMERS, remove them from their already BRAINWASHED victims and you'll quickly realise that they are NOT very smart people.
For instance, he's accusing the USELESS Nigerian Legislative of lacking initiative and politicking while seeming praising the American Congress for doing exactly the SAME thing.
They lack initiative and deliberating on the affairs of a foreign while their own country goes up in FLAME is their own form of politicking.
For instance, there was NOTHING about deliberating on Nigerian "Genocide Problem" until the PDFile in the White House said there was such a problem.
They subsequently JUMPED on it like the good rubber-stamp that they are.
It's NOT a praise-worthy behaviour.
ANYBODY who genuinely has a problem with how the Nigerian Legislative operates would have a problem with how the American Congress operates. Which one is your problem here? is it how they operate or how they have shown concern that your own representatives should be doing?
Even if you hate America, try to be logical with your hate.... |

Image123: Who are the you guys? A democratically elected leader is subject to scrutiny and logical criticism. We've done that either openly or otherwise at least from 1999 leadership till date. When Tinubu is to be criticized, nothing and no one stops you or me. It's not a cult. GEJ was relatively clueless about governance and started rightly getting the stick after about 4years in power. Most people were on his side against the cabal in 2009/2010. He had little or no main opposition until 2012, then mainly 2013 with the gross and overwhelming insecurity that affected everywhere. We were being searched to enter banks, churches and bus stops. We're moving with strong prayers and suspicion in Lagos and Abuja. That's unacceptable. GEJ was largely denying the issues and accusing people of making him look bad. Not to mention the fantastic corruption and crumbled economy under his watch. On the other hand, Tinubu is actually doing a good work in security. Every week, there's some arrests and killings of criminals, rescue of victims, etc though the insecurity is overwhelming but efforts are visible. Are these efforts enough? NO. Hence, why i said the solution is strictly sending all terrorists to their Maker, education, and a crackdown on religious extremism and its preaching. Anyone that knows politics knows this is a tall order, given the resistance to be faced from the family members of the criminals in the North and South East. Tinubu in less than 3 years has gone headlong in battle with LGA autonomy, FX subsidy and but bureau de change businesses, Fuel subsidy cabals, tax reform issues, development of each region by establishing commissions and recently state policing issues. These are all major problems that have been sidestepped for decades. After 2031, you can try winning elections to turn Nigeria into paradise in 2 months. As things remain, i will continue to support the president and offer constructive criticism where needed. You may keep sucking your wounds. I didn't bother reading all through your long write up, Tinubu should do his job or resign like he told Jonathan to... |
