Your position is very true as we are supposed to be getting better as we go along in our journey as a nation. The present crop of leaders should be better than the past ones simply because they should learn from experience bit alas, the reverse it is with us.

The system is so rigged and skewed that for a credible leader emerge we will need a living miracle.

Look at any party Primaries when producing a flag bearer for the Elections! What do you hear? Obscene amount of money exchanging hands and do you expect that leader to enter office and not take back that money with interest of his own determination?

Personally, I don't believe any Leader parading now cam turn Nigeria around but they can only apply what they call Cosmethics dressing to make it all look dandy.

So, I lower my expectations, male sure I don't go against the Law of the Land until my tome is up on this planet.

On paper, electing better Leaders is a right step forward but where are they? The better Leaders? Look at what APC did to Jonathan PDP? Saraki, Amexhi, Dino, Aregbe, El-Rufai and Co kicked him out but what did they do with that 8 years?

Now same people (at least large number) are now saying it is ADC that people should look forward to, but check the "inmates" of that place too, are they not the same of the same?

The Laws we have are still largely Colonial Laws. It doesn't punish Looters of commonwealth hard enough. You must have heard the story of someone who stole billions but was fined only 700k only with an option of Jail term. Our Laws punish more of Criminal elements rather than the Elitists Criminals because those Laws were made by the Elites.

As for building strong institutions, you all lose the focus if you make this a Tinubu issue. I detest that man a lot but stealing and mismanagement of state resources predates him by decades of our Statehood. So, it is not about him. Though it would seem he has redefine the capture of state resources in his time. All of them are on on this. I say that with every sense of responsibility.

And yes, bot everyone will think the same, that is a fact but the Laws can make everyone alive to our collective responsibility to our commonwealth.
