Funny how I learnt a lesson.



Sometime last week I was on my way home from work, the usual traffic on Agege motor way was hectic and the passenger's in the bus where all busy heaping curses on the driver for being a slow pock.



When the gentleman beside me phone started ringing. I didnt notice anything about the call till he started taking. From the conversation you could get the gist that he was talking to his spouse. A lot of "work was good, miss you love, hugs and kisses, can't wait to get home".



A really fine babe was sitting beside him, and I could guess I wasnt the only paying attention to this call, cos she had that look like she was really interested in the call.



After he cut the call and dropped, I started chatting with him and found that it was his wife he was talking to (like duah). After some general discussion about things men talked about . we summarily moved to ladies discussion. He asked if I was married to which my answer was, "For where","When mrs right is as elusive as trying to catch a green snake in a green grass field." He smiled and said most likely i was looking in the wrong field, that got me laughing and the girl and some other passengers who were obviously listening in on our discussion.

He continues on to ask me what type of lady i was looking for, and i told him the usual speech "fine with good proposions of arsenal and manchesters, cute smile,cool head on her head,smart and lets not forget God fearing(for the religious folking who were obviously listing)". He smiled again,then told me that this was all what he was looking for before he met his wife, but something happened to change his concept of mrs right. I asked him what that something was? He said his wife.i was like wow this woman must be some real catch. I asked could i see this woman that changed him. He pull up his phone and showed me he pic. To say that i was expecting a Tira Banks look alike would have been wrong if you looked at my face when i saw the picture. I had to look at the guy twice, by which time he was smiling and laughing at me,even miss fine beside him wanted to see the picture,so i passed the pone to her.

My obvious question was either he was jassed or the girls family were some obscure rich moneybags that i had not heard about, because to say she was ugly was to mistake Baba for Donald duke.

By now i had to ask, how did you meet? I asked him to hold while i bought us some gala and Coke,cos i knew this was going to long and i felt i would need something stronger before he was done.

I now beconed him to proceed.

He his first statement was "Opposites attracts". He said she stayed around where he lived, that they passed each other on the street, that he never considered her once, that he dated exactly the same type of girls i mentioned early. But that he started noticing that his relationships never lasted, he said he was always comment to these girls but it was always that either they didnt see him as too outgoing,or not a player,or he was cheated on,or that they wanted too much from him. He said at a point i time he had given up on dating for a year. Then brought the case to his pastor. When he said pastor, all kind of bells and whistles went off in my head, the most promient being (finally, that explains it).

I relaxed having concluded that a last the answer to this strange puzzle had be concluded, while waiting for him to get to the point where "pastor said".

When he got to that point, what pastor said was not what i was expecting.

In his words, he said his pastor told him he was going after the wrong type of girls. The his idea of Mrs Right was the Mrs Wrong for him, that the pastor went further to ask him to note what his mrs right was, when he did, the pastor told him that, this that of mrs right does not exist.(rude awakening pastor). Then his pastor asked him to the opposite of the things he had written and pen them down beside each word. When he had done that, he said pastor tore the part where he had written the qualities of his mrs right. The told him to take the other part home and pray over it, that he would pray for him as well, next that each day he should do something to find a girl that had one or more of those qualities.

He said when he started the hunt,obviously the person he never considered that the person he walked by everyday, was the first person he noticed. He said it took him a while to develop the nerve to even find out her name. And when he did say hello, she just walked by him like she did not notice him.(See this chick de form). This she repeat the next two times he tried to say hello, finally angry about it , he confronted her and ask what her problem was, that he was just trying to be friendly. He reply, "why should she care if he wanted to be friendly, abi all the other girls you de carry don finish". "Come whats you business with me, leave me alone".(omo see forming).

I am not a gtb staff b I t I have been to their bank more times that I can count to say and solve registering for their mobile money app.

After 2 frustrated weeks of try, I stumbled upon(get it. stumble upon) a solution that will have you registering for Gtbank mobile money from the comfort of your home, class, office. Bar, palmy joint or on top of a palmy tree looking for signal.


Now with out further ado let's get started.

First you will need an Etisalat line (record brakes, I know your asking why. But they are the solution)

Next you will need to download Gtmobile from Google play or blackberry store or mama nkechi's store.

Now once you have done that and installed the app.

You will need to your phone menu and search for sim toolkit for android, services for Nokia, Etisalat self-service for bb. It's an app that should show in your app

next Gtmobile money

Next select my account

Getting Counseling in Nigeria can be a bit on the hard side. When you need someone to talk to about various crisis in your life, from depression to loneliness to thinks not working. In Nigeria its usually a Psychiatrist but because the profession has not taken off as such as in these areas the position is being filled by the family,Church and friends. We have all experinced it before.

You wake up after a long refreshing sleep, its a beautiful morning. The sun is shining and the morning looks lovely.

When you get an android phone, you will notice that the phone will ask you to sign into your google account. Always make sure you do that. Because google keeps a backup of all your contacts and details.

When i mean its keeps the details, it keeps all your details, even when a Contact you save has 3 numbers and pic and 4 emails. Google will save it for you.

Now lets get to the stuff you want to hear.

How do i get back my contacts, all of them.

Google has a dedicated site online called Google contacts.

First sign into google with your user name and password of you google account as you do on your phone.

Do a google search for google contact or go here

let it load and you will see all your contacts as they were on your phone before it was deleted. (even the one's you saved multiple times.)

Now if you want them back on your phone.

go to your phone contacts, go to settings, click import/export contacts.

select import, your phone will ask you whether you want to imput from

Sd
Your google account(please note that your internet needs to be on)

Select the your google account and where you want to import the contacts to(SD or Phone).
Click the import to finalize and wait for all your contacts to come back as they were.

You can even do it for multiple phones using the same google account.

First of you have to realise that you may have lost her for good. Before you decide to get her back.

For any one using excel constantly, you find that most calculations you make in your day to day work ends with writing the figures in words for an invoice or quotation.

Usually everyone develops a format for easy work where you recopy and change the digits on the format, with working calculations already in it to make the job more fasted, particularly if your an accountant with lots of invoices and quotations to do with lots of deadlines to meet.

The formulas make things faster.

Now havent you ever said, i wish there was a formular to convert the numbers to digits that i could just paste and hey presto its done.

There is a lot that needs to be said about amputation and the plight of amputees in Nigeria, but most times the basics are left unsaid. How does one become an amputee, if asked this most people will say it comes about by the loss of a limb be it an arm or leg or both through accidents.

We tend to overlook the story of how someone came to be without a limb, and what can be done to help such a person live a fulfilled life. We forget that they just went through a painful procedure and are reminded about the trauma of the procedure, every time they look at what they have lost. It was not easy for the individual, some of them come out of it stronger, and some come out of it scarred for life, others…..

What is it all about, is there hope for these people. The answer is, yes.
One just needs to look at countless cases online of people with disabilities or amputations leading a normal life.

You might say but that the US, Britain, China and some other developed countries of the world. Yes true, there things are made more easy for them. But in all, let’s consider that the process remains the same. The lost something and are constantly reminded of it when they look at it. The key for them was that they understood what they lost and learnt ways to continue living with it and enjoy a full live. Make no mistake here, The LEARNT ways to continue living. For this is what must always be done. You learn new ways to live.

Like someone who lost his house to a storm or fire, he/she must adapt and find a way.

Like when we lose a loved one so key to the family structure, be it the head of a house or the bread winner. The family must adapt to new ways to live and grow into something better.

The human being was built with adaptation in Mind, case in point.

Put an eye patch on and wear it for 6 months, the other eye will adapt to the situation almost immediately.

When you break a wrist or your writing arm and it’s put in a sling or cast. You will learn how to write with the other hand.

We can always adapt to any situation in our daily lives. What holds us back is the trauma of the amputation or the disability.

The procedure in developed countries for any amputation case is.

Once the amputation is don’t the patient is required to meet with a psychiatrist during the period of healing to aid in overcoming the trauma, of course here in Nigeria, it’s the friends and family that filling in that gap. Although now a days the service can be acquire.

This adaption comes about with the help of Physiotherapy, Orthotics and Prosthetic: What’s best for me. This we will cover more in our subsequent posts.


A lot is now possible in Nigeria for the amputee and people living with disabilities. The problem still remains that the trauma of their ordeal usually is a big issue coupled with a general lack of information that should be readily available to help people make better choices and decisions.

Quite simple. Every guy likes a bad girl. Every girl likes a bad guy. Need I say more

You have two choices

A. Continue till something happens, eg you become her new squeeze when she needs cash and she jokes about you with her friends of how this new twit is on her case. She may even use u do commentary (watch he will soon call).

B. Stop and move on with your life. Stop all moves to pursue her, continue with your life, forget her, possible do great things like hang out with you guys gist with other girls and possible date one while always being a good boy and saying hi to her and calling her once in a month just to gist, then once in two months to hang out.

Option B always tends to work for me. Why?

It removes the pressure, creates doubt of herself in her mind. While your seeing other people create the sense of not good enough for you in her mind. (even if she's dating someone else).

Sometimes they are the ones to ask what happened, other time they don't care. Hey that's life.
