Mass and Weight.

Sometimes we talk of measuring weight instead of mass. These two are not the same.

Mass is the quantity of matter in a body, while weight is the earth's pull on a body.

A force can either be a push or a pull, and weight is a force. It has both magnitude and direction, hence a vector. Mass has only magnitude and is therefore a scalar quantity. (Remember our earlier discuss on vectors and scalars).

Measurement of Mass


The mass of a body is a measure of the quantity of matter it contains.

Mass is usually measured by comparing it with standard masses, using a balance. There are various types, and one found in most schools is the beam or chemical balance. Diagrams are attached below.

Measurement of Time

The most natural time unit is the solar day, manifested by the passing of day and night. It takes earth one solar day to complete one rotation about its axis. As we all know, the unit of time is seconds(s).

Its multiple units are minutes, hour and day.

All events which happen in natu're involved the idea of time. In a typical laboratory, time is usually measured by a stop watch or a stop clock.

Nowadays, quartz clocks and atomic clocks give a high degree of accuracy.

One of which is bold declarations.

So many people approach their issues timidly that is why they don’t receive answers to their prayers. The challenges of life does not require gentility, you need to declare boldly if you must get a rapid positive response to your demand. You have prayed and cried enough over that situation, it is time to speak boldly and with the authority of God’s Word. Every challenge will always bow to the authority of the Word. So, you must learn to use the ever-winning tool of bold declaration.

Read this testimony carefully:

 “I joined this Commission in 2009. I got married in 2011 and became pregnant. Since then, I battled with fibroid that threatened the baby in the womb. The doctors advised that I pray fervently, otherwise, the fibroid would eat up the baby. However, I delivered safely.

Derived Quantities and units.

By Simple combination of the S.I basic Units, we can obtain other useful units.

These are called derived units.

Recall, that i made a note on the fundamental units in the earlier posts which included length, time and mass.

So then, from these basic Units of measurement, other useful units can be derived.

For example,

the unit of volume is obtained by multiplying the unit for length 3 times. I.e m*m*m= m3 pronounced 'cubic metre' or 'metre cubed'.

Density is the ratio of mass and volume which in turn gives a unit of kgm-3(raise to power of-3).

Speed can be denoted by the division of distance and time which gives a unit of ms-1(raise to power minus1).

The fact that a thousand other books have their own unique explanation for the concept of death is an exemplary illustration of how, through time, humans have concocted various baseless, irrational tales just to serve as an explanation for concepts they are completely ignorant of; the same thing the bible is guilty of.

You have no rational, evidencial proof that the bible is right about it's proposed concept of death, yet you still cling on to it. The bible, just like those thousand other books, is the ideas and opinions of men like you, who were obviously less enlightened than your very self, due to the understanding you have of the world now, which wasn't available to them at that time, but yet, you are swallowing their opinions and interpretation without rational appraisal. It's saddening.

If I write a story explaining my own concept of death, that when humans die, the good people reincarnate into butterflies and the bad people reincarnate into mosquitos, and then I garnish it with some stories that transcend history, and sell it to you, would you buy? Would you accept my own story as the truth? If you wouldn't, why wouldn't you?

It prophesied about some events happening today long before they started occurring! Did it happen by chance? Certainly not, the Bible surely is inspired of God and God will make sure His words come to fruition!
That's why I said earlier it's explanation about death is satisfying because only a book that is inspired of God can truly explain death.

Granted there are countless other religious books out there, but the Bible has actually passed the test if time.
Again those other books can never claim to be inspired of God just like the Bible!
Besides the explanations given by the Bible makes sense and are reasonable, they're also satisfactory!
In all the Bible is truly a remarkable and reliable book!

That's true. . . Personally reading the philosophies of Jesus of Nazarath as found in the synoptic gospels, i couldn't help but notice that though beautiful in pieces, collectively the message becomes disturbing.

Here is a philosophy that encourages no thought for tomorrow, no care for investment, family, your kids, encourages that you should hate your family, hate the world.

Do not worry about all the things that matter, just let them go and loath them then "Follow me"

That is ridiculously immoral, the charge to hate and abandon ones family in order to follow someone.

It is outrightly absurd that such charge reveals in the man either he is a maniac, narcissist, crazy, evil or must have really held a belief that the world was imminently coming to an end in his time therefore encourages his followers to hate and abandon everything in order to follow him.

Guess you can see the angle I'm coming from.

I've personally read and believed these things for years.

From a surface look, you may think jesus is probably a better person than his dad.. but then, its just a case of good cop, bad cop.. you'll be roped either ways....they both possess the same narcissistic character.

Physical quantity is useless unless it can be measured, quantified and given a unit.

The important and Fundamental quantities in physics are

Length

Mass and

Time.


The unified standard of measurement is called International System Of Units. often called S.I units.

Exactly. It's unwise to use the writings of an ancient book written by medieval men who didn't possess a quater of the amount of knowledge and understanding of the world around them as we do now, to arrive at a full conclusive explanation of a concept as elusive as death.

There are a thousand other books that have their own unique explanation for the concept of death, yet, the op has discarded all of them and submitted to the doctrine of this one, irrespective of the fact that he has no rational proof that this book is right.

It is appalling.

They're quick to laugh off others belief as silly and nonsensical. Yet, in theirs, donkeys can chat and an old man can circumvent death with a flying horse of fire.

You claim gross of people are ignorant on the concept of death...
