omo babe: hi,can a married man apply without including d photo of wife & child? D reason is d wife is not in d country at d moment & dere photo is not wit d husband.and if it is important to be included must it be 2*2 as d pricipal applicant?No you cant, passport photo is a MUST. |

I Hate 9ja: as a lottery winner did u submitted an affidavit of support.if yes pls how did u get ur'sNo he did not. Its not needed for Nigerian applicant but you can email the embassy to ask. |

The Department of State implemented the electronic registration system beginning with DV-2005 in order to make the DV process more efficient and secure. @xtayle Don't submit your entry more than once as a Primary Applicant for the DV Lottery in any given year. Because the authorities can find out those multiple entries with the help of the latest electronic techniques and if multiple entries are found in the system, all your entries will be removed from that fiscal year draw. If a person submit more than one E-DV entry with fake names for the green card lottery, their entries will be found out by the authorities with the sophisticated equipments. These programs also find out the photos of the same person and all the entries of that person will be disqualified. 1 Like |

The dad can also apply and include the mum and Child(ren) in his application. Any child(ren) from that family with complete SSCE or above can also apply on his or her own too. But note: do not inlude any child(ren) above the age of 21 in the family application but below. As an undergraduate, with ur SSCE certificate, u are go to go. Goodluck. |

Dont call, email or go to any shop for any form. Were are here to assist you apply on your own for free. If you use an Agent to apply you are on our own. They MUST request for money to apply for you and if you win, it will be request stage two, sometimes they request for as high as 800,000 b4 they release your result. Stage three request will be that you must carry/marry ther person and if you do the Embassy MUST catch YOU! Its as easy as posting a comment on Nairaland. Dont be fooled, do it yourself. |

Cruz-gee:Yes you can use your phone but read: The image file can be produced either by taking a new digital photograph or by scanning a photographic print with a digital scanner. The image file must adhere to the compositional and technical specifications listed below. Entrants may test their photos for suitability through the photo validation link on the e-DV website before submitting their entries. The photo validation provides additional technical advice on photo composition, along with examples of acceptable and unacceptable photos. Compositional Specifications: The submitted digital image must conform to the following compositional specifications or the entry will be disqualified. „h Head Position o The person being photographed must directly face the camera. o The head of the person should not be tilted up, down, or to the side. o The head height or facial region size (measured from the top of the head, including the hair, to the bottom of the chin) must be between 50 percent and 69 percent of the image's total height. The eye height (measured from the bottom of the image to the level of the eyes) should be between 56 percent and 69 percent of the image's height. „h Digital Image Head Size Template Review examples on the Photo Requirements webpage „h Background o The person being photographed should be in front of a neutral, light-colored background. 4 o Dark or patterned backgrounds are not acceptable. „h Focus o The photograph must be in focus. „h Decorative Items o Photographs in which the person being photographed is wearing sunglasses or other items that detract from the face will not be accepted. „h Head Coverings and Hats o Photos of applicants wearing head coverings or hats are only acceptable if the head covering is worn for religious beliefs; even then, the head covering may not obscure any portion of the face of the applicant. Photographs of applicants with tribal or other headgear not specifically religious in nature will not be accepted; photographs of military, airline, or other personnel wearing hats will not be accepted. Color photographs in 24-bit color depth are required. Color photographs may be downloaded from a camera to a file in the computer or they may be scanned onto a computer. If you are using a scanner, the settings must be for True Color or 24-bit color mode. See the additional scanning requirements below. Technical Specifications The submitted digital photograph must conform to the following specifications or the system will automatically reject the E-DV entry form and notify the sender. „P Taking a New Digital Image.
