And I read where people talked about how they picked calls of 40+ minutes and then suffered act of God issues.

I understand the urge to make more money, or the excitement that comes with seeing $8 calls instead of $3, but if you're not like up to 6 weeks on the job and are yet to get a full hang of it, you seriously shouldn't be picking very long calls.
I see how brijibs talks about picking and doing long calls or picking and dropping them in a heartbeat...
Don't go and drown. He's not your mate on the job.
I suffered that hangover the whole of last week, bro. But, honestly, it feels ODD working on short calls... Can't remember the last time I did that ODD JOB... I'd rather catch up on my games than waste 1hr for $1... angry

And I wasn't trying to compete with Prenom... Just trying to hit the weekly bonus... grin

Yet to see.

It happens to me after I've worked on a particular call and couldn't finish it because of bad audio or exhaustion. Plus, this period of scarcity can kill once morale. You'd be like "why, did you release that call when you aren't sure of the next one." grin
Yeah... I guess it's exhaustion... The previous week, I was trying hard to hit the bonus for the week. I guess that took a toll on me. Thanks a lot. You just cleared things up for me... grin

Normally, picking those sweet long calls in this period of scarcity should've spiked my morale, but it didn't. It certainly was exhaustion. I guess I'm not as strong/tough as I thought I was... cool

Congratulation to me. After 10 transcript, I got my first 5 rating in the morning, my first 4 rating yesterday. And all others have always been rejected. But abeg, how can you reject my work citing grammar and sentence structure. After redo, it was rejected as personal call. Me I no underatand this people ooo.
.
The call probably wasn't work related. No customer on the call, or the rep was making a personal call.
The flow of the convo'll let you know. Anyways, over time you'll be able to tell them apart.
Pele.

Why are you finding it hard to transcribe?
I wish I knew... All through last week... I'll pick a call, listen afew minutes into the call, loose interest and stop it. All week long.

"What doesn't kill only makes you suffer, I mean stronger" cry

Bad FK. Was transcribing 43 mins call and was already done with 21 mins of it next thing nah GBAU. Laptop charger burn now now now and Samsung PC no common, no where to knock beg laptop charger finish wetin I wan finish. As I log in with phone to continue it showed that I'd start again with 6 hours plus left. Out of 11 hours allocated time. How will I transcribe 43 mins call in 6 hours. Pain me no be small over 5 hours wey I spent on 21 mins out of 43. This is adult abuse, molestation. One mind is saying I should attempt it again but the healthy part of my brain is telling me to sleep, for it is impossible.
It is quite possible, sir. I've turned in a 39min call under 4hrs. I'd done 25mins and had 9hrs left, went socializing got back to the job and discovered I had to start all over with 4hrs left. I submitted it and still had 25mins left. grin cool

Tried out a 26 minute call. Worked it finish, since morning and I was waiting for my 5. Till I got a 2, this evening. The rating note didn't even make sense, see it in the screenshot below. I was wondering where I went wrong, decided to resubmit it just for the sake of trying, because I was tired. As I was going, I saw a mistake I made, a repetition. I transcribed "just" twice, so I fixed it, submitted it and was waiting for another 2, or 3 at least. Lo and behold, I got a 4. Can you imagine? Just because of a repetition, see the rating I got fa. This is the only rating I feel like I didn't deserve.
See SCC advising you... "pick a short call next time" I can't laff joor grin grin grin

So I'm trying to transcribe with my phone using Chrome browser, the text is juxtaposing with the content of the Web page, how can this be sorted out, plus I don't understand the REP and CUSTOMER stuff, can someone put me through?

So, funny thing happened yesterday. In the morning I caught me a good one, 30+mins. Worked on it till noon, with about 27mins done, paused, went socializing, got home still had 4hrs to turn in the job. Only to open the job and find I had to start over, with 4hrs to submit.
It was a miracle. I submitted the job and still had 23mins remaining. cool wink
