Its the 1st time I'm hearing this. All you need is a utility bill to confirm your address and bvn.
Please locate a big UBA branch.
Next, they'll tell you to open an account with them, mtcheeww.

sorry, what's the use of the glossary?
List of company names and other important info regarding the job you're working on.

LaMujer:
i did o. and that's what i only corrected, before landing myself at 1
That's probably the reason.
The work gets, somewhat, disorganized sometimes, when doing a redo.
You should've taken the time to scan through the whole work after you'd corrected the mistakes that were pointed out.

Lesson learnt, I guess. Better luck next time.

LaMujer:
Whoever said transcribing was easy? O su mi o.

I got a 2 rating, I did corrections and ended up getting a 1 rating.

Kuku kee me naa
Kpele. Nothing is easy in life. But hardwork and dedication, as well as attention to detail makes it seem easy.

Did you take note of the rating notes before attempting the redo?

It's important you take note of what you did wrong initially, so you know what to improve on.

Keep on trying and share your testimony soon.

No I might pick a call showing 2 mins to be finished in 1hr 10 mins, when I start working,I will see 7hrs up? I want to know how I can see the real time because my time has expired once before on a job
Oh. Yes, you'll see the time (1hr 10mins) up there on the same line as the rep's name and company.

Meanwhile, a 2min call to be finished in 1hr or more is a British call. Except your ears are trained for their accents, please steer clear of those.
An American 2min call is usually from 40mins.

When on a job and a rep is stil talking in a long sentence and the customer make a reply like within the sentence like Uhm or yea while the rep still continues,do we ignore the uhm or yea that was made by the customer? Is that the reason for ...? And when I pick a call successfully,I don't see the time remaining,I only see like 7hrs up there when am doing a 2 hrs call
If the customer's response is in response to a question the rep asked, it should be transcribed. Otherwise, ignore the customer and continue till the rep stops.

I feel the set of guys recently added to handle the rating are yet to get hold of the FAQ. That was rated 2 for not transcribing a word that was not relevant to the conversation.
We should bring this Arlen's attention. We can't be having incompetent QAs rating our jobs... Someone'll spend long hours on a job only for them to rate your job poorly.
It's so not funny.

A new rating note... I wonder what the number there stands for...

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by brijibs: 10:04pm On Nov 13, 2019
These guys will just be confusing peeps. My job was marked down because I transcribed "two separate cabins." I engage an SCC, who said it should've been "2 separate cabins."

Now, look what I found on Slack. I've also received a rating note about "4-year tenure", which is why I now transcribe "four-year tenure."

But seriously, this is not funny. I didn't use to mind much in the past (it's just afew cents off), but since a perfect profile ensures you get jobs, I'm not finding it funny anymore.

Anybody notice these little upgrades on QA world? I just received a mail about a 5 rated transcription of an audio I got 2 on. Big ups to those guys.

P. S. This place is slowly turning to a warzone, man gas keep head low or bullet go kill you grin
It was reaudited or what? I've not seen any upgrades o... In fact I'm still on the old platform. What's up with that anyways? Aren't they going to make a decision on it? It's been, like a month, I think?

Ok is there any kind of charge? Asking cus I don't know if I'm allowed to use the 2k in it.
Just add card. After the funds have been reversed you can do with it as you please.

But how did you get the card today? Thought it's nationwide public holiday?

You're on bronze badge. So, you have access to a lot less calls until the queue is overruning.
Do you remember months ago when we had this same argument on here? How calls were very scarce, yet Ralph was leading the park with over 800 minutes? grin

MiseryHimself:
How can the leader's board have 682.0, 551.3, 506.6 minutes of transcribed calls (4th to 10th) when there is barely any call to transcribe? Are the calls accessible to only a select few? I just recently joined. Abi na only midnight things? What's going on?
Only, it's different now, since the implementation of the badges. grin grin

So depressing cheesy tongue grin....I have 14 more 5s left to go. Quick question. When I change badge that is upgrade to Silver does the pay increase from that 0.20 per minute or is it the same pay for Gold, bronze and silver?
Nope. Same pay across all levels. Just more jobs.

Even mine sef it's everywhere but by noon there should be a river of calls latest 6-7pm for evening. I think it's because it was weekend so there might not be much callers or something.
I think your level too. Available calls are prioritized based on level of specialty. Gold badge members get 100% visibility; silver badge, 70%, and bronze badge, 50%.
